Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 159! (TSSC159)

Welcome to week 159 of my weekly challenges!  I am having so much fun with these, thanks to everyone who has played along over the weeks!  I hope you will play this week too!  Remember it is now a blog hop too so if you add the code to your post (in the EDIT HTML portion) you will get all the players on your blog too!  That way your friends can play along too and when checking out the samples we can just hop along without having to go back and forth.  So fun.

Anyway, here is the new sketch for you...

I think it is a good one! What do you think?  I decided to go ahead and combine it with the Latenightstamper's challenge this week--You're a Hoot-use any bird image on your sample.  Here is my masculine birthday card...

Stamps:  In the Wilderness, Bitty Bits and Plane and simple
Paper:  Early Espresso, Sahara Sand and Botanical Gazette
Ink: Basic Black and Early Espresso
Other: jumbo stitches wheel, build a brad, circle punch, markers

Come on and play along.  Don't forget to add the code too--if you want you can always just add you link and sample too. Thanks for playing and visiting my blog today.

Happy Monday

What an awesome group of cards. I am not very good at masculine cards. They are the hardest to make for sure!

Where are you from? Latenightstamper's challenge.

This week on the Latenightstamper's group I borrowed a challenge from my friend Kerry.  This was one we did in her group and I thought it was really fun.  If I recall correctly the idea may have been someone else's but I am not sure?? But anyway, the challenge is to create a card that showcases where you are from.  I got so luck this time around as I am from Buffalo (Orchard Park) New York and we now have a Buffalo in our catalog so that worked out well!  Here is my first card for this challenge.

Stamps: In Wilderness and Plane and Simple for the sentiment
Paper: Old Olive, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Botanical Garden dp
Ink: Early Expresso and the rest is markers
Other: Early Espresso, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive markers, small vanilla brads, large chocolate chip brads, nestabilities die, embossing folder.

We would love to have you play along!  Click here to join or play everyone is welcome.

Don't forget about my FREE tutorial giveaway--you can win you choice HERE.

Hope you have a great day!

Playing catch up--Latenightstamper's and Blogger's challenge

I was so busy getting the new tutorial ready that I fell behind.  It would have been all good if my stinking computer would cooperate with me.  More than halfway though the tutorial I lost everything--it would not let me open it no way no how without freezing up my whole computer so I had to start all over!  Yikes.  Anyway it is done and it is up and you can see it here if you wish.  But for the matter at hand.  I am playing catch up with a few challenges.  This week on Latenightstampers the theme is to make sympathy cards and the theme of the Blogger's challenge this week was to use patterned paper.  So I pulled out my one sheet wonder tutorial and used 1/3 of it to create these three cards.

All three cards were made using 1/3 of a sheet of designer paper and two sheets of Pear Pizazz card stock along with a few scraps of Whisper White and some ribbon.  The stamp set used is Thanks for Caring from the new Occasions Mini.  Would love to have you play along with either of these challenges.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Blogger's Challenge--a sketch

We all love sketch challenges--right!  Well our dear host mom knows that so she is sure to give us at least one sketch each month and this is the sketch for January!

I chose to go with a  masculine card for today.  This new stamp set Plane and Simple is perfect for masculine cards. Don't you think?  I think it was one of the best investments I have made in a long time--pretty versatile in my opinion.

Such a cool card if I do say so myself, lol.
Stamps: Plane and Simple, In Stitches Jumbo Wheel --taken off wheel and cut into individual stamps
Paper: Marina Mist, Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla and Botanical Gazette dp
Ink: Early Espresso and Very Vanilla
Other: brads, dimentionals

Hope you have a great week! If yo have time head on over to Lisa's blog to see who else has played along this week--we now are using Mr. Linky!

Baby it's Cold Out There!!

The theme for this week's challenge on Latenightstampers is Baby it Cold!  Things that make you say BRRRR!  So I decided to make this scrapbook page.  We spent an afternoon outdoors ice skating and I think it might have been one of the coldest days this year--go figure.  Of course the boys were TOO COOL TO BE COLD!  I combined the theme challenge with a sketch challenge on Soul Scrappers.

The layout is done entirely on My Digital Studio using only Stampin Up digital images.

I'm cold just remembering how cold it was, lol!

Stay warm and have a great day!

Winners of Blog Candy--Your choice of tutorials!

So I thought I would give away more than one.  So I told my son to pick a number from one to ten and he picked seven--so I will be giving away seven tutorials.  Thank you to all who ordered and send me comments.  I have been overwhelmed with the response.  Makes me feel LOVED, lol!  I am thrilled that you are finding the tutorials easy to follow and helpful.  My goal is to share ideas that can be used by anyone and an affordable price.  I know what it is like when money is tight.  Therefore I tried to keep it as basic as possible while still giving all the details need to create.  Lots of pictures and step by step guidelines.
