Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 163! (TSSC163)

Can you believe we are already through February!  My goodness if we don't find a way to slow down this life it will be over before we even know it.  Crazy.

I hope you will find time this week to play along.  I am really liking this sketch this week--although I am not sure others will think it is as easy as some but that is what a challenge is all about right!  Are YOU  up to it???  Here is the sketch for this week.

As per usual I am combining my card sample with the new challenge on Latenightstampers.  This wee myself and my team are challenging the group to create cards for kids.  This is in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday!  Should be a fun week over there.  Come on over and play along.  Here is my card.

Isn't it so cute.  I am really loving how it turned out!  The tree branches are hand drawn and the leaves are from the sizzlet die.  I love how he is holding the look who's turning 7 sign.

Can't wait to see what you guys create with this sketch.  Should be a fun week!

Stamps: Punch Bunch, it's your birthday
Paper: Chocolate Chip, in color dp, botanical gazette dp, whisper white, crumb cake
Ink: Chocolate chip
Other: markers, leaves sizzlet, scallop circle punch, owl punch, spiral border punch, large chocolate chip brads, sponges.

Be sure to add you sample below and if you click on get the code and then follow the directions to copy the correct code and then add it to you post under the edit html area you will be a part of the blog hop!  That really is the easiest way to check out all the samples and gives us all more coverage!

Happy Stampin.
Mary Jo

New to me challenges.

I had a little extra stamping time yesterday!  Yea. So I looked for a few new to me challenges to play along with.  I know I wanted to use the big shot to at least emboss on the cards so that the also fit this week's Latenightstamper challenge.  I chose the two challenge blogs that I have members playing along with my sketch challenge from. First on is the Sketch Frenzy Friday Challenge Blog.
Here is their sketch for this week.

I am really happy with this card.  Didn't know what the heck I was going to do with the sketch but then I remember the card I seen earlier this week by Patrice Herrera that can be seen HERE.  She colored in the butterflies on the dp from Botanical Gazette and I just loved the look so I went with that for my inspiration-Thanks Patrice!  This is what I came up with...

I think it was perfect for the sketch!  What do you think??

Stamps: FYI (for I care sentiment)
Paper: Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Botanical Gazette, Elegant Soiree
Ink: Marina Mist
Other: tulip embossing folder, ribbon

The next challenge I checked out is from the 4 Crafty Chicks challenge blog.  This week they have an inspiration challenge.  Here is the inspiration photo...

And my card--I went by memory for the inspiration.  Looked at it then went to the studio and created.  Usually I print it and look at it over and over as I create but decided to do it different this time.  Here is my card.

Stamps:Charming
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, More Mustard, Marina Mist, Whisper White, Cajun Craze
Ink: Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive
Other: Thanks Sizzlit, button Sizzlit, Curly Lable Punch, ribbon, embossing folder, score in board, Marina Mist marker

Hope you enjoyed checking out these two new to me challenges.  See ya later tonight for my new sketch and the top three picks!

Sketch week on Blogger's challenge!

Once a month our list mom, Lisa, gives us a sketch to work with and this is the week.  You all know I love sketches so this is one of my favorite times.  The sketch was a fun one.  Come on and play along if you would like.  Or just check out all the great creations by our team on the blog hop at the bottom of this post.  Here is this month's sketch.

And my card.  I am still having fun with this Plane and Simple set!  So easy to make masculine cards with this one.  I think I must of had my friend Rose on my mind when I made this one because she is the queen of brads and I may have topped her with this one???? Maybe-maybe not!

Stamps: Plane and Simple
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist. Botanical Gazette dp, Whipper White
Ink: Kraft, Chocolate Chip and Marina Mist
Other: circle scissors plus, brads (lots of them) corner rounder

Hope you have a wonderful Friday and an even better weekend!

Inlaid embossed butterflies.

This really is a cool technique. Don't it look like the butterflies were fitted into the pink background.  They are really punched out and then attached to the pink before embossing.  When emboss the whole piece-pink and punched butterflies-it looks like they are one layer.

Stamps: Butterfly Prints, Flight of the butterfly (small flower)
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Ink: Concord Grape, Basic BGlack
Other: embossing folder, score board, ribbon.

Hope you are having a wonderful day!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 162!

Wow this weekend sure when by fast!  Hope you had a great one and that you are ready to start a new week.  Some of you may be off for Presidents day and if you are I hope you find time to do some stamping!  Extra days off are just wonderful.

Here is the sketch for this week....

And I have two samples for you this week.  They also fit the new Latenightstampers challenge that will begin tomorrow.  This week we are using our Big Shot.  Any way you want--to cut or to emboss. Last week we did masculine cards this week I thought I would go pink and do girl cards.  Both are using the tulips embossing folder--and Sale-A-Bration free sets as well as DP that was free from Sale-A-Bration.  Get your orders in before it ends!

Stamps: Bliss, FYI
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, DP from Ice Cream Parlor Accents Kit
Ink: Mellon Mambo, Pretty in Pink
Other: tulip embossing folder and pearls

Stamp: Punch Bunch, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, dp from Ice Cream Parlor Accents Kit
Ink: Melon Mambo
Other: tulip embossing folder, ribbon, pearls, markers, word window punch.

Can't wait to see your creations.  Remember it is now a blog hop so if you add the code to your blog it will be super duper easy for everyone to hop from one blog to the other to see all the great samples.  So fun.  All you do is add the code in your Edit HTML view and then each time anyone adds a link it will update ALL the blogs with the code.  Amazing!

Happy Monday!

It's a boy! LNS challenge--Let's hear it for the boys!

Since my last card for the challenge was more adult themed thought I would make one for a baby boy.  I love these fun colors for a boy.  The stickers and borders are from the Celebrations Quick Accents kit.  I also used the new punch bunch stamp set that you can earn for FREE during Sale-a-bration!

Stamps: Punch Bunch (SAB) Occasional Quotes (hostess)
Paper: Bashful Blue, Pacific Point and Whisper White
Ink: Pacific Point
Other: markers, Celebrations Quick Accent Kit.  1 1/4 inch circle punch, brights brads

Do you like working with the Accents Kit--don't forget about my tutorial that gives you step by step directions to make all these cards with just a small portion of the Accents Kit you can earn with during Sale-a-bration.  It uses this same stamp set too! CLICK HERE TO GET MORE INFORMATION.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

What kind of underwear does your bunny wear? Boxers for valentines!

Ahhhh, Friday. I love Friday's not only because of the weekend but because I get to participate in the blogger's challenge.  And the cool thing is that you can too now that it is a blog hop!  This week Lisa wanted us to post a project with a love theme.  So I thought I  should work on my hubby's valentine.  But then I remember the new tutorial I just posted for the bunny pants and some of the other ideas that I offered up for you guys to use it for and though--yep--I need to make my hubby a box that looks like boxer underwear for Valentines!  I think this is just too cute.  Don't you?

The stamps that I used for this are all from the Jumbo I Love wheel.  I took it off the wheel and cut the individual parts apart to form lots of adorable love stamps.   When I do this I take the entire piece of rubber off the wheel and then attach it to a piece of cling mounting foam, then cut it apart and then I have an entire set of cling mount stamps! Mini tutorial on doing this can be seen HERE.

Here is a picture of the bunny pants and "his" underwear together.  Would be really cute if I made it a bit smaller and it fit right inside the pants, lol!  I may have to try that!

So now you can see that the bunny pants can hold either the cards (that are included in the original tutorial) or a whole bag of peanut butter hearts with room quite a bit of extra room!  You can view the Bunny Pants tutorial HERE.

I hope you will play along this week with our challenge.  After all it is the month of Love so I know you need a card or some type of project with a Love theme.

TGIF!!!!!!!

I chose three instead of two!

One more combo challenge for the day!

This time I am combining the Latenightstamper challenge to use hearts with the SUDSOL case challenge which cases a card from the Stampin Success catalog.  Here is the card that we were to case.  I did a hybrid card--that is part of the card was done on my computer using the My Digital Studio software and the other part was done traditionally.  I created the bird singing "your the tweet-est" and the hearts on the MDS.  Then printed it out and finished the card the traditional way.  I think it is kind of cute.  Couldn't get the ribbon just how I wanted and it is always hard for me to do these Clean and SIMPLE cards, lol!  What do you think??? Here is my sample...

Don't forget to check out all of my tutorials on the right hand side of my sidebar.  Here is the Love Notes one for you to see.  All of the tutorials are only $2.00 and have step by step directions with lots of pictures...

Click HERE for more details about this tutorial.

Have a great night.  See ya tomorrow.

Latenightstamper challenge--It's all about the heart and I ain't lion!

This week on the Latenightstamper's group we are challenging everyone -- YOU TOO--to create a project with at least one heart on it.  Could be a stamped heart, paper with hearts, punch heart a rub on--what ever.  So I thought I would try out some more punch art.  I am not so good at this--every now and then I do get lucky so I keep trying, lol!  Anyway I seen this awesome pillow box made into a owl using punch art and thought I would give it a try but made my pillow box into a lion!  I have to say the Cristina's is much much cuter but what the heck.  I will probably just case hers next time!

I guess he is kind of cute but not that cute.  It was kind of fun to make though.  His head is the heart form the movers and shakers die, the face part is the full heart punch. He is also holding the full heart punch!  Oh and his nose is a heart too!  The body is the pillow box die with some strips of paper around with lots of little cuts.  And the hands, feet and snout are all that oval punch that I can not remember the name of and can not find--if you know--PLEASE help me.

Don't forget about the new Bunny Pants tutorial     HERE

and if you leave a post on the sneak peek post HERE you may even win one for FREE!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 160!

Phew, welcome to week number 160 of my weekly sketch challenges.  Today (Monday the 7th) is my son's birthday!  Can't believe he is 11 years old already, wasn't he just in my belly a couple of years ago--which by the way seem absolutely impossible at this point-incredible.  I thank God for him every single day!  He is my pride and joy.  Anyway, I am having a horrible time with my computer tonight.  I have NEVER had ANYTHING run so stinkin slow in my life!  UGGGG.  It took me over an hour just to do the top three from last week's sketch and now I am tired and not to mention a bit frustrated too.  So with that being said I am going to post the sketch tonight and come on back and link up tomorrow.  My patience are about (actually have been) totally shot!  Computers, can't live with them can't live without them--and you thought it was men, lol!

Here is the new sketch.  I hope you have time to play along. Remember it is now a blog hop so if you add the code to your blog it will be super duper easy for everyone to hop from one blog to the other to see all the great samples.  So fun.  All you do is add the code and then each time anyone add a link it will update ALL the blogs with the code.  Amazing!  Here is the sketch.

ETA::: Here is my card for the sketch..

Come on and play along.  Don't forget to add the code too--if you want you can always just add you link and sample too. Thanks for playing and visiting my blog today.

Happy Monday
