Try Stamping on Tuesday!

We are on challenge 111 on the Try Stamping on Tuesday Blog.  We have a fun sketch for the week too, so I hope you can play along.  Here is the sketch...

And of course here is my challenge--be sure to hop over the the BLOG to see the other Design Team samples--they did a fabulous job with the sketch!

I can't wait to see my first butterfly of the year, don't you just love them!  They are so pretty and seem so happy as they flutter around enjoying the Summer weather!

I love the color combo on my card--Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, Very Vanilla.
Stamps: Petite Pairs
Paper: Midnight Muse, Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack, Very Vanilla
Ink: Midnight Muse
Other: Large Butterfly punch, pearls, Summer Starfruit Ribbon. Labels Collection Framelits

Hope your week is off to a great start!  I have been spending lots of time with my sister who is visiting from Texas--some of you may remember her from the card showers we did for her.  A little over a year ago she had a stroke that affected her right side--and as of right now she is battling cancer. She will be having her third round of chemo next week--but she is doing amazingly well--she is so strong and has such a fabulous attitude and strong faith!  I thought I would share a picture of her playing around with our new Paper Pumpkin's Card kit--she loved it!

A big thank you to all of you who sent her cards, visited her and most importantly prayed for her!  She is doing very well--don't her wig look great!  The Cancer Society gave it to her and it really looks fabulous on her!  What a blessing to be able to see her and share time with her!

Hope you have a great day!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 256 (TSSC256)

Welcome to another Monday and of course that means a new sketch challenge for this week!  I hope you will find time to play along!  We have some fabulous samples to share with you to get your MoJo flowing. But first here are a few basic rules for the challenge....

  1. You have a full week to play along!
  2. Create a new card using the sketch as your inspiration.
  3. Use any products you choose.
  4. Add your card to your blog or other on-line spot and link back to this challenge.
  5. Come back here and add a direct link to your sample for the challenge and NOT you home page of your blog--people will not look for your challenge card--trust me.
  6. And this one is not really a rule but a request--get rid of that word verification!  It makes it hard for us to comment on your samples.  It is easier for you to delete the spam then for us to jump through tons of hoops to comment.  If your put your comments on moderation you do not have to worry about spam--you will have the option to delete it BEFORE it ever goes on your blog so you will ALWAYS be safe!
  7. Have fun and tell you friends to play too!
Now for the sketch for this week...

And my sample--I had fun with the girl with the umbrella from our hostess set Million Dollar Moments. I also made a matching magnetic book mark and a little box to hold some chocolate--the challenge on the LNS blog this week is to make 3d items--so those fit that!

Here is the card alone...

I put a butterly in her hand--just to make it a bit different.  Loved the look--and I also ALWAYS love black/grey/cheery cobbler--such a great combo.

Stamps: Million Dollar Moments, Petite Pairs
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Grey, Whisper White
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Grey, Basic Black
Other: Butterfly embosslit, paper piercer, markers, DP

Now for the rest of the CRAZY talented Design Team....

This team is amazing--don't you agree.  But so are you and we can not wait to see what you create with this sketch--come on back and add your link below!

Matches my blog better than the last one

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 255 (TSSC255)

Hope you had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day--we don't really celebrate but most people I know do so I wanted to wish you a late Happy St. Patrick's Day too!

Now I am ready for the Spring weather to show it's face.  I am sick of the cold--we had a few nice days and then it changed right back to this ugly cold stuff--so of course I have a sore throat and allergy issues.  Enough already!

So anyway--let's move on to the matter at hand--the sketch challenge for this week.  I hope you will find time to play along, here are a few basic rules for the challenge....

  1. You have a full week to play along!
  2. Create a new card using the sketch as your inspiration.
  3. Use any products you choose.
  4. Add your card to your blog or other on-line spot and link back to this challenge.

  7. Have fun and tell you friends to play too!
Now for the sketch for this week...

And I have two cards to start you off...

The first one is showing you the super cute stamp set Everybunny--but not using it for Easter!  As you may recall I made a baby card last week with one of the images and now this week it is a birthday card.  Would this be darling for a little girl?

Stamps: Everybunny, Petite Pairs
Paper: Pool Party, Basic Black, Whisper White, DP
Ink: Basic Black
Other: ribbon, buttons, black brads (inside button holes) markers, rhingstones (on balloon)

My next card is combined with the LNS challenge for the week--we are saying goodbye to the SAB sets.  This is the last week of SAB so if you don't have the sets you want yet you better get that order in SOON!

This time I flipped the sketch on the side.  And used two SAB sets and the paper pack from the SAB catalog too!

Stamps: Blooming Marvelous, Vintage Verses, Petite Pairs
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White, Sycamore Street DP
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Summer Starfruit, Lucky Limeade
Other: ribbon, small butterfly punch

As if that was not enough--you still have the fabulous Design team samples to inspire you below!

Now it is your turn! We are excited to see your samples!

Top Three for sketch 254!

You guys rocked this week's sketch.  So many wonderful samples that I struggled picking just three!  Thanks so much to everyone who played along!  After some hard consideration my top three picks are as follows...

Remember that you can click on any of the thumbnail images to be taken to the creators blog and the original post with all the details--and of course you can then leave them a nice comment too!

All three are just so creative and fun!
Thanks ladies.

Manly yes, but I like it too!

One more card for the Latnightstamper's masculine challenge this week.  I thought I would use some of those little stamps from the Pretty Petites stamp set that I got for FREE during SAB!  Along with the matching punch.

I always love this layout for small images.  I am sure I have used it many times before but it always looks fresh and fun to me.  The colors and papers can change the theme and style so much!

Stamps: Pretty Petites, A Fitting Occasion, Feeling Sentimental
Paper: Lucky Limeade, Very Vanilla, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfurit, scraps of dp
Ink: Midnight Muse
Other: 1 inch circle punch, petite curly label punch, corner rounder

Hope you day is going well, I have a sick child home from school today so I am back to tend to him.
See ya soon and thanks for stopping by.

Try Stamping on Tuesday--Man!

This week's sketch for the Try Stamping On Tuesday blog is a fun one.  I decided to combine it with the Latenightstamper's masculine challenge for this week.  Here is the sketch...

And here is my (somewhat) masculine card...

This is the first time I used the ticket set.  kind of fun--the punch works really well with it. Although it is one of those punches that punches two of different sizes at one time which always frustrates me because of the waste of paper but it works and does make the tickets cuter!

Stamps: Feeling Sentimental, That's the Ticket
Paper: Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White and Print Poetry DP
Ink: Midnight Muse
Other: framelits, ticket builder punch, markers

Hope you have a fabulous day!

I combined my sample with the Latenightstamper's challenge for the week--this week we are focusing on Masculine cards.  I have a few samples for this challenge to share over the next few days, but the first one is for today's sketch challenge too.  I went with the young man on this one.

I have had this cute truck set for a while and never used it.  So I figured the time is NOW.

Stamps: I dig You
Paper: Early Espresso, Tangerine Tango, Pool Party, Whisper White
Ink: Early Espresso
Other: markers, dots embossing folder, clouds embossing folder, small scallop circle punch

And now for the rest of the Design Team's samples......

Tanya

Aren't those AMAZING!  Can't wait to see yours, I am sure it will be equally delightful! Mary Jo
