Ed 3

Welcome to week number three of the ED challenges.  In case you are visiting for the first time and you are not a member of the Latenightstamper's group (gasp) the ED challenge is a challenge with a weekly theme to make Easy and Demonstratable cards.  This weeks theme is Black, White and just a hint of color.  I combined it with the other weekly challenge on Latenightstampers which is to create a Sympathy card.  If you are not a member of the Latenightstampers group and you love Stampin Up! products you can join here!  It is free and 100% SU.  Tons of fabulous samples and ideas each and every day.

Any way, here is my card for the challenges.

I really love the simplicity of this card, it is actually so elegant.

Stamps: Brighter Tomorrow
Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Other: embossing folder, brads, marker

Hope you have time to play along!  Fun challenges.

 blog it

I am having sooooo many computer problems today.  This is the third time I am trying to post this and I can not get my program to add the watermark for some silly reason.  I am doing the same thing I do every day of my life but now it won't work---UGGGGG!  Anyway I am able to get this on like this so it will have to do before I do not have a computer any more -- it may end up in the neighbor's yard!

This card is for today's Featured Stamper Challenge on Stampin Connection-which by the way I can not get on either, lol!  It is also for my ED2 challenge.  Easy and Demonstratable cards.

The featured stamper for this week is the wonderfully talented Robin Merriman!  You can see her blog here!

Stamps: Bella's Bloom, Picture This
Paper: Basic Grey, Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Ribbon, markers, embossing plate

Got to run!  Taking my mom to bingo.  I may be a bit late on my new sketch challenge to--why not I have been late on everything else this weekend.

Any way this week we had a sketch challenge so I combined it with the 411 Color Challenge.  Here is my sample..

Ed Who? Ed 2

Welcome to week 2 of the new ED challenge.  Easy and Demonstratable cards.  This week we are working on cards with flowers.  Any flowers.  They could be stamped flowers, flowers on your DP, flowers made from punches as mine are or any other kind of flower you wish.  Here is my sample for today.

It may not look that easy but it certainly was.  The beautiful pansy flowers are made on Shimmery White paper using the re-inker spread technique.  First I punched out two butterflies for each flower.  Then with a fine mist spritzer spray water on the butterflies. One they are nice and wet go around the edges with a paint brush loaded with re-inker.  I used Elegant Eggplant re-inker.  Be sure to let your flowers dry before trying to put brads through the middle or you will be starting over, lol (don't ask).   The leaves are the five petal flower punch.

Stamps: Brighter Tomorrow
Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White, Orchid Opulence, Shimmery White
Ink: Versa Mark
Other: white embossing powder, Brads, embossing folder, butterfly punch, five petal flower punch, re-inkers, paint brush, water spritzer, marker

Thanks for stopping by today, I am glad you did.

Anything but a Card!

Mondays are so busy around here. Not only do I have my sketch challenge but also the new Latenightstampers DT challenge for our group. This is a weekly challenge and usually I am able to combine my first samples with my sketch challenge but today is a bit different. We are trying to show off all the fabulous things you can do with our products besides make cards! That is what sold me on being a Stampin Up! Demo. There are so many things you can make with our product. If you are not already a member of Latenightstampers now may be the time to join! There will be wonderful ideas-as always. You do not have to be a demo to join, just love the Stamping Up products!

My first sample for this week is so easy and a great gift for teachers.  I am making a bunch of these for my son's teachers for Easter.  Who couldn't use some chocolate!

The vase is made from three chocolate bars.  They are taped together to form a triangle.  Then I simply wrapped them in designer paper and stuck some candy flower suckers in the center.  So easy and adorable too!

I will be making matching cards too!  But since the title of this post is ANYthing but a card, I figure I can do those later, lol.  Hope you have a wonderful week.  The kids are off from school today so I know it will start off fun!

Here is this week's sketch.....

And of course my card sample....

Hmmm, don't really look like the flowers match the card now that I look at it on here.  Oh well, I did use the Razzleberry marker for the highlights?  I love the in colors this year, as I do every year.
