This is one of those cards that did not turn out any thing like I was thinking.  This week's challenge was a color challenge.  Red, Yellow and Green.  I chose the new shades of these colors.  Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz.

I thought it would be fun to add a tea bag to the card especially since it fit the color scheme.  Be sure to check out the other players by clicking the logo on the top right of my blog.

Stamps: Morning Cup, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Daffodil Delight, In color dp,
Ink: Basic Black, daffodil Delight

Paper: Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, Whisper White, Sunny Garden DP
Ink: Basic Black
Other:  markers, rhinestones, mat pack, white gel pen, border punch, circle punch, pearl

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 136!

Moving right along.  It is getting so close to the kids going back to school and I have so many ideas for different things I want to make for organizing, gifts for teachers, gifts for classmates you know all those fun things.  I am in luck with that since this week's new challenge on Latenightstampers is a Back To School Theme!  Works for me.  So of course I combined my sketch challenge for this week with that challenge.  I hope you find time to play along with the sketch this week it is an easy one.

I had fun using my Totally Tess stamp and making a card for an older child.  I hate when the kids go back to school.  I miss seeing them and spending so much time with them.  Hence the I miss you already sentiment.

Stamps: Totally Tess, First Day, Really Retro
Paper: Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black, Whisper White, DP in colors
Ink: White, Poppy Parade, Basic Black
Other: markers, circle punches, color pencils,  word window punch

Isn't she too cute???

Big on any occasion--not just Christmas!

I love to use this stamp set Big on Christmas for birthdays and other occasions. It is so easy just color the parts you want with a marker and then search through your stamps fro other images that would work.  At this point I have only done this with the Happy Holidays one, if you can think of a way to use the others I would love to hear it.  I am blank.

The first card is a masculine birthday card.  Again I just colored the H PPY with my marker and stamped. Then I added the present from Friends Fur-ever and the word birthday for the All Holidays set.

On this second card I chose to make it a fun New Home card for my pastor and his family.  The house and clouds is from the this years SAB set Good Neighbors and the words are from two different sets.  Again just coloring what I want with my marker and placing it where I need it.  So easy.

I hope that one of you that is smarter than me can think of a way to use the other stamps too.

Card One:
Stamps: Big on Christmas, Friends Fur-ever, All Holidays
Paper: Not Quite Navy, Whisper White,  Blueberry Crisp DP
Ink: Basic Black
Other: distressing tool, markers

Card Two:
Stamps: Big on Christmas, SAB Good Neighbors
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz
Ink: Basic Black, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze
Other: jewelry tag punch, markers, word window punch, sponges

Happy Wednesday!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 135!

Well we made it through another week--praise God!  So glad you stopped by today, I hope you will find time this week to play along with my sketch challenge for the week.  I think it is one of my favorites.  Really a fun one -- IMHO!  Did you happen to see the top three from last week--if not check out the previous post.  Fun cards.

Here is the new sketch for your inspiration....

I have two samples for you this week.  The first one is using my favorite new set called Just Believe.  It is so pretty and so easy to create beautiful cards with.  I colored the images on the stamp with markers to get the two colors.

I adore these colors together, Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz.  Both are from the new in colors.

Stamps: Just Believe
Paper: Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzass dp and card stock, Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink: Poppy Parade
Other: markers, embossing folder, circle punches, ribbon

The next card is just a bit different.I am not really good at coming up with my own punch art but I gave it a try.  I made a cat from the new owl punch. This is for the new challenge on LNS which is to use our stamps or punches in a manner they were not designed for.

This fat cats face is created with the owl body.  I also used circle and oval punches.

Stamps:  Pun Fun for sentiment, Something Sweet for fish
Paper: Peach Parfait, Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink: Peach Parfait, Basic Black
Other: brads, circle punch, markers, sponges, ribbon, white gel pen

Can't wait to see what you come up with for this fun sketch.  Be sure to come on back and leave a link with your sample below!

Blessing to you this week!
Mary Jo

Very late Blogger's challenge again

OK, so me and blogger are at it again.  The only way I was able to get to my dashboard and editing area was to go to the help section, post a question and then go to my account.  It will not let me sign in any other way!  I just keep getting sent back to the sign in screen, I have deleted my cookies, cleared my cashe, even erased my history and restarted my computer, nothing works.  Very frustrating, but at least I am in now--not sure if I will be able to get back in but I am dealing with one problem at a time, lol.

Have you ever bought a stamp and then every time you look at it after you get it home you wonder what the heck you were thinking.  Well this is one of those stamps.  Believe it or not I have had this stamp for at least 8-9 years and have never used it.  So since this week's blogger's challenge was birthdays and I don't really HAVE to stick to Stampin Up only I thought what the heck might as well use it once.  I think the problem is that it is too big, I could have cut off the sentiments and moved them around but I wanted to use it as is one time.  Makes for a pretty boring card.  (layout wise).  Anyway, here is my card, I am sure you will find many other much better samples from the rest of the team.  Remember to click on the logo that can be found at the top right hand side of my blog.

Stamps: We'll Drink to Anything by Stamps Happen Inc.
Paper: Real Red, Perfect Plum, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Other: top note die, white gel pen, markers

Hopefully I will be able to come back and post again some time soon, lol.  If blogger cooperates with me.  Crossing my fingers, cuz the stress is really not good for me.  I mat throw my computer right out the window, lol.

Thanks for your Kindness

I love this cute card style.  The top note piece is the part that lifts to show the inside of the card, the base pieces do not open.  Cute don't you think.  This was created for this week's Featured Stamper on the Demo Only group Stampin Connection.  Daisies are my favorite flowers (any version of them-black eyed susans etc.)  So of course I had to have this new stamp set.  Every Moment.

Stamps: Every Moment, Occasional Quotes
Paper: Pear Pizazz, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, DP
Ink: Basic Black
Other: markers, sponges, embossing folder, ribbon, top note die

Hope your week is going great!  Thanks for stopping by and saying hi!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 134!

Here we are again.  We are just finishing off our awesome week of VBS and so that is the frame of mind I am in for this card.  There were a few young teens that volunteered and did such a fantastic job I thought it would be fun to make them some simple but cute cards.  This is one for one of the boys.  Nice and easy but to the point.  This card will also fit with this week's challenge on Latenightstamper == under the sea.

I hope you have time to play along this week.  Don't forget to come on back and leave your link at the end of this post so that we can all see what you come up with.   Here is the sketch....

Blogger's challenge is going to the dogs!

What a fun sketch Lisa had for us today.  I do love sketches, but you already knew that.  I am having so much fun with this darling doggie set.  I wasn't sure I really wanted it at first but than thought what the heck, I am so glad I got it.  Fun fun fun.  Thought this would be a great card for a child when you miss their birthday (whoops).

Might be a bit too much going on with the bottom flowered part but it was a quick fix to a mistake, lol.  More on that another time.  I hope you take a few moments to check out the other Blogger's Challenge players by clicking on the logo at the top right hand corner of my blog.

Have a Fabulous Friday!

Have an awesome evening!
Mary Jo

Wow, time flies when your having fun!

I know I said I would be back later on Monday but things didn't go as planned.  I don't know about you guys but my son is off from school for Summer Vacation and every time he asks to do something, swimming, fishing, biking, etc...  I hate to say no since he will be back in school in a few weeks and then our time will be very limited--(sad face here).  So sorry to say but you guys have been coming after VBS and my son--and I am not sorry--he is growing WAY TOO FAST!

I did make this card earlier this week for the Latenightstamper's challenge for the week.  This week we are focusing on circles.  Pretty easy--just make sure your sample has at least one circle.  Of course I just made the whole card a circle.  I think this little doggie set is just too stinkin cute.

I wanted a sentiment that said something like throw me a bone would ya?  But I wasn't sure who I would send it to so I thought this was better.  Inside says--may all your wishes come true, happy birthday!

Stamps: Fur Ever Friends, A little birdie told me
Paper: Blushing Bride card stock and dp, Whisper White, Basic Grey
Ink: Basic Black
Other: markers, pearls, sponges, scallop circle die

Hope you are having as nice a week as I am!  Life it good!
VBS is AWESOME--thanks be to God for all the children 210!  So fun and so uplifting!
Hope to get some stamping done later tonight for tomorrow's blogger's challenge.  Cross your fingers.
