Awesome right?!
Can't wait to see what you can come up with remember to come on back and add your direct link to the linky tool below.  Here are a few rules of play....

  1. You have a full week to play along!
  2. Create a new card using the sketch as your inspiration.
  3. Use any products you choose.
  4. Add your card to your blog or other on-line spot and link back to this challenge.
  5. Come back here and add a direct link to your sample for the challenge and NOT you home page of your blog--people will not look for your challenge card--trust me.
  6. And this one is not really a rule but a request--get rid of that word verification!  It makes it hard for us to comment on your samples.  It is easier for you to delete the spam then for us to jump through tons of hoops to comment.  If your put your comments on moderation you do not have to worry about spam--you will have the option to delete it BEFORE it ever goes on your blog so you will ALWAYS be safe!
  7. Have fun and tell you friends to play too!

    Thanks, Mary Jo

Top Three for Sketch 294

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Mine was really wonderful, a whirlwind of stuff going on every day though, and then two days of being sick!  Uggg!  Hopefully that will go away soon.  I want to thank all of you who chose to tackle last week's sketch--it was a bit more difficult that most--but it is fun to have a real challenge sometimes.  I think that everyone did a fabulous job with it!  Here are my top three picks in no particular order....

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 294 (TSSC294)

It is only days away now--are you ready?  I am ashamed to say, I am not, lol!  But that is normal.  I try not to have stress during the holidays and sometimes that just means some stuff gets done last minute--but without stress!  It is those last few teen kids that really want gift cards--and I always hope to see something to keep from getting them gift cards. But alas, it has not happened yet so gift cards it may be this year.  Are you like me and really dislike giving gift cards or are you ok with it?

Anyway--on to this week's sketch--I hope you find time during this busy week to play along.

Believe it or not I needed one more Christmas card so here it is--super simple and it was really fast!

This is one of my all time favorite sentiments-love the font and it says it all!
Stamps: The Sounding Joy (retired)
Paper:  Island Indigo, Pool Party, Whisper White, glitter paper and DP from
Ink:Island Indigo
Other: oval framelits, rhinestones

Now for the rest of the team
(I gave them the sketch really late so it may not be the full team)

I thought this was a bit of a difficult sketch as it was just different than the norm with the triangle but I love all the samples.  Can't wait to see what you can come up with remember to come on back and add your direct link to the linky tool below.  Here are a few rules of play....

  1. You have a full week to play along!

  3. Use any products you choose.

Deconstructed Sketch--Christmas Evergreen

Still finishing off a few Christmas Cards and thought this sketch from Jen was perfect.  Love her sketches.  I think this card is much prettier in person--I could not get a really good picture of it for some reason--I think the colors.

Stamps: Evergreen
Paper: Island Indigo, Pool Party, Whisper White and DP from
Ink: Pool Party, Island Indigo
Other: black marker

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 293 (TSSC293)

So glad you stopped by today to check out my new sketch challenge!  It is a fun one and I know you are going to be inspired to play along after seeing some of the fabulous sample from the team!  Here is the sketch.....

And my sample which will also be for the LNS challenge to make a card that is not plain jane but has at least three layers, two embelishments and only takes 15 minutes or less to make. So meeting all of that and following the sketch this is what I came up with....

Believe it or not I am still in need a few more Christmas cards--I have been sorely disappointing in the lack of Christian Christmas stamps from Stampin Up this year so I chose this one from a few years ago to use on my card. (Sounding Joy)   The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Brushed Gold and Whisper White.  And now for the rest of the teams samples....

How about a Birthday Card for a Change!

So many Christmas cards--I need a break so I have a fun birthday card for you today!

I am just so stuck in the Pool Party/Island Indigo color combo!  Don't seem to use much else lately???  I like this simple card because like to find new uses for the top note die--I don't use it as much as I used to and I think it feels a bit let out, lol.

Stamps: Sketched Birthday
Paper:  Pool Party, Island Indigo, Whisper White, DP
Ink: Basic Black
Other: markers, ribbon, top note die, scallop boarder punch

Short and sweet today--super busy day.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
