Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 316 (TSSC316)

Happy Memorial Day to you!  Please take a moment to reflect on the wonderful and courage men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.  And for those who continue to do so each and every day.  Without them we would not be living the way we do today!

This week's sketch is a real easy one and can be used for so many different cards.  Here is the sketch..

In honor of Memorial Day I made a quick patriotic card!

A quick and easy card, the stamps are all retired stampin up stamps.  And of course I used red, white and blue.  Now let's check out the rest of the teams samples....

See what I mean about being able to use this sketch for just about anything!  What fabulous cards the team made with this sketch--they always do though so we should not be that surprised--but it still does make me smile week after week!  Now it is your turn to play along.  When you are done with your sample come on back and leave your DIRECT link on the linky tool below.  Here are a few basic rules of play....

  1. You have a full week to play along!
  2. Create a new card using the sketch as your inspiration.
  3. Use any products you choose.
  4. Add your card to your blog or other on-line spot and link back to this challenge.
  5. Come back here and add a direct link to your sample for the challenge and NOT you home page of your blog--people will not look for your challenge card--trust me.
  6. And this one is not really a rule but a request--get rid of that word verification!  It makes it hard for us to comment on your samples.  It is easier for you to delete the spam then for us to jump through tons of hoops to comment.  If your put your comments on moderation you do not have to worry about spam--you will have the option to delete it BEFORE it ever goes on your blog so you will ALWAYS be safe!
  7. Have fun and tell you friends to play too!

    Thanks, Mary Jo

Top Three for Sketch 314

Well not three but four this week.

This is the second week in a row with light participation--this seems to happen every year around this time.  Hopefully it will be better this week.  So much going on in all our lives.  But we all need a way to relax and stamping it a great answer.  Thank you so much to the ladies that played along this week.  You all had fabulous cards! I will be right back with the new sketch for this week!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 314 (tSSC314)

Here we go again, hope you had a great weekend and if you are a mother--I hope you were spoiled yesterday!  I had a great mother's day.  Now it is time to start the new week and I have a new sketch for you to try this week.....

I think it is going to be a good one. I had lots of ideas in my head for it. But I really needed some thank you cards for a Origami Owl Jewelry party I had this weekend. I am having so much fun selling this fun line of jewelry! I can't tell you. It has been great! So I used the logo to make some quick thank yous for the people who attended this weekend's jewelry bar.

The designer paper is from an old Stampin Up kit--and the base of the card and ribbon are Tempting Turquoise.  The Origami Owl colors. The sentiment is from the set Lots of Thanks.  Now for the rest of the teams samples--they rocked it as usual!

Top Three for Sketch 314!

So not to take anything away from this week's top three but we only had three players so it was easy, lol.  But I will say--and I know you will agree--they are all worthy!  Thanks ladies--I know it is a busy week!  Hopefully we will have more players this week.

Try Stamping on Tuesday.

Yep, it is my Tuesday for sharing.  The design team alternates week's for posting for this fun challenge and this is my week--glad cuz it is a fun one.  If this is your first time checking out this challenge it is both a sketch challenge and it also has an option twist you can follow.  I really like to try to combine both.  This week's sketch is.....

TWIST: Mother's Day

I flipped the sketch on it's side to make it work for me and my Mother's Day card.

Hard to believe I am still using this set and paper.  I think this might be the 10th card I have done with this same stamp set and watercolor wonder paper.  I just love how easy it is to use.  Did you see my tutorial using these products??? It is here if you are interested  HERE.
Stamps: Blessed Easter, Wonderful Mother
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Whisper White, Watercolor Wonder DP
Ink: Black
Other: markers, dots embossing folder, oval punch, scallop oval punch

Be sure to check out the rest of the teams work HERE.

Happy Tuesday.

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 313 (TSSC313)

Long busy week around here--never even posted my samples from last week or anything else for that matter--but maybe I will get them posted later this week.  I do however have a sample for this week and on time even!  Nice huh?  Let's start with the sketch...

And now my sample.  I am trying to use up some papers and colors that will be retiring soon, and I have A LOT of them so I doubt I will be able to but this was a start.  I have not touch either sheet of the pretty paper from the Watercolor Wonder paper pack because the images are too pretty to cut up and use small pieces of it so I used a bigger piece and just made it look like two by adding the scallop circle in between.

Stamps: Retied Mother's Day set
Paper: Crisp Cantaloupe Basic Black, Smokey Slate, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Other: framelits, oval punch, scallop oval punch, label punch, ribbon, marker, candy dots

Need some more inspiration--how about the amazing design team's samples....

As usual they all came up with different equally amazing designs.  Love these gals!
Now it is you turn to play along...

Top Three for sketch 312!

I loved last week's sketch and I made about 25 cards with it but never did post them--go figure.  All of the cards were the same and I never do that but needed a bunch of matching thank yous.  Maybe I will post them later in the week.  But for now I need to post my top three picks from the sketch.....As always they are in no particular order and you can click on the links below the cards to be taken to the creator's blog and see more details.
