A card for the blogger challenge #11
Blogger challenge card -- even though I do not belong to the group. I thought I would play along anyway. The challenge was to use the layout on page 12 of the Holiday Mini. I am not sure of the specifics of this group but I see that they do a challenge once a week and you can kind of jump from blog to blog seeing what everyone has done with the challenge. Pretty cool. You can check it out over at my friend Lisa Somerville's blog. Anyway, on to the card. I wanted to do a bright and cheery card for a friend of mine. She is definitely a bold brights kind of gal. This is my first time using my In the Spotlight set. It was fun. I stamped the big circle in Only Orange on Whisper White and punched it out using the scallop circle punch. I then stamped the little floral circle in Pink Passion and punched that out with the small circle punch. I added a tiny punched circle of black to the very center. I attached the scalloped circle to a large black circle. The black circle has been pierced with my paper piercer --I did not find this fun! I popped up the smaller circle with a dimensional and then the whole thing is mounted on double dimensional on top of the background strips. The top strips are Whisper White and have the little flower from the Wanted set in Only Orange and Pink Passion. I attached them to larger strips of Only Orange and then faux stitched around them all. The little circles say Hello and Friend and are layered on black and popped up on one dimensional The base of the card is Pink Passion. Thanks for stopping by.
Glad to see you played along with us this week! Your card turned out great!
