Sara's Sketch #5 -- three more to catch up.
Well, I got one more done so far. I am trying to prep for a class I have tomorrow night so I am not getting as far as I wanted to. I kept this one a bit simpler because I was considering using it for my class tomorrow but I think I changed my mind. I do think this makes a great man's birthday card. Notice that I changed the words on the image to Birthday Wish instead of One and Only. Here is the sketch-- again these are from Sara's Desperate Stamper blog, this is sketch #5.
The card base is Chocolate Chip and has the star and round flower type image from Wanted embossed in clear. The longer strip is Really Rust. I stamped the star and horseshoe image on one side in Chocolate Chip. The designer series paper is from the Outlaw collection. The main image from Bronc Buster is stamped in Really Rust on Vanilla card stock. I sponged Chocolate Chip around the edges and punched the corners with the ticket corner punch. I stamped the words Birthday and Wish from Everyday Flexible Phrases in Chocolate Chip on scrap Vanilla and punched out with the word window punch. I added a bit of Really Rust to the edges before attaching it over the One and Only saying. This main image is then layered on a piece Chocolate Chip that has been pierced on the bottom and has the corners punched with the ticket corner punch. Finally I stamped the the circle saying from the retired set Riveting in Chocolate Chip on Vanilla and punched it out with my circle punch. I also punched out the inside little circle and backed it with a small piece of Really Rust that has the tiny circle star from Wanted stamped on it in Chocolate Chip. The tiny circles on the right side are just punched out pieces of Chocolate Chip card stock--I did not have any matching brads left.
Very cute, love the layout and I love the colors and stamps you used!!! I need to start doing those challenges as I am in a stamping funk, you give me hope!
