Wow, I am not sure why but I kept drawing a blank on this week's challenge. I looked at the sketch - which is the long notes card on page 64 of the current SU catalog-- and was not feeling anything. So this morning when I got up I figured I better start to feel something, lol! So I did a little browsing with my coffee at 5am and remembered that the challenge yesterday on SCS was to use rubons. Hmmm, maybe there is one that will work??? But after examining my rubons I did not see any that could work for the layout as a focal image but it did make me confirm that yes, I was going to work them in somehow. After all, everyone knows I will combine challenges any chance I get. So as I walked around my studio trying to get inspired I came upon a swap card I got from Pat Huntoon and remembered that I ordered the So Cool set because of that card but have not used it yet! That was it -- some how I was going to make the sketch, rubons and the So Cool set work together for this Challenge -- and to my surprise it did! I like it! Yippee, I swear I can not create anything unless it is just under the wire for the deadline. But it is on time and you can now decide for yourself if you think it worked, lol.
Stamps: So Cool
Paper: More Mustard, Real Red, Whisper White, Basic Black and East Coast Prep dp
Ink: Tempting Turquoise
Other: rubons from the Anchored set from SU and the circles on the turquoise rectangle are from JoAnn's dollar spot rubons, markers, nestabilities circle and scallop circle, coluzzle, and Heidi Swapp chipboard letters.
Why not take some time to check out the other players by using the link in my sidebar. I will be back after 6pm to post some more cards for my Monday lunchtime challenge and some other stuff too. Thanks for stopping by.
