Whatchdoing --- UGGGGG!

So don't ya know there is a new challenge in town! Starting today, Storage Units, Ink & More will be having a Whatchadoin' Wednesday challenge.

This weeks challenge is to use embossing folders. I have lots of those! I actually have quite a few new ones I just got and have not even tried yet. The problem is I only have two SuInk stamp sets. This is the All Things Grow With Love set. I was pretty happy with the card till the last minute! I was adding adhesive to the back of the image panel and set it down on wet black ink! UGGGG! I was so bummed. I tried to fix it but it is still pretty obvious. So depressing. I would not normally post it but I wanted to get a card in for the challenge today and did not have time to re do that whole image. Don't ya hate when things like that happen? Anyway, here is the card in all it's non-glory, lol!

The other thing that happened is when I embossed the faux stitching I had the tiny folder upside down so it is indented instead of popped up! And then to make it even worse you can see the lines where the folder ends. That is something that will need to be remedied before I used those folders again. I bought three sets of those edge ones too. There must be a way around it. Anyone know???? I may have to try this challenge again tomorrow but for now this is it--sorry.

Stamps: All Things Grow With Love (SUInk)
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery dp, Pumpkin Pie dp and Watercolor paper
Ink: Stazon, Basic Black
Other: markers, blender pens, white gel pen, swiss dot embossing folder and faux stitch embossing folder

  1. Your card is darling Mary Jo! I think that the faux stitching turned out great! Wonderful layout as well! So glad that you could play in the challenge! :D

  2. Mary Jo, the card is wonderful! If you hadn't mentioned the ink thing I wouldn't have had a clue. Even then I had to look REALLY CLOSELY to find anything, and I'm still not sure I actually did. So unless it's way more obvious in person -- no worries, mate!

And the faux stitching ... I wouldn't worry about that either. It doesn't have to be "faux stitching" this time. It can just be an interesting pennant banner or something. I think the card is excellent, so go out there and show it with PRIDE!! :)

  3. Adorable card and you put so much work into it. It may have had some minor issues but until you pointed anything out I wouldn't have noticed!! We are our own worst critics. It just adorable.

  4. Wow! Great card MJ, it's so detailed!!! Your one step up on me, I don't have any of their stamps yet, so I just used the papers I bought from them.
