Take Two Tuesday Week 4

This week is a fail for me--in my opinion, I honestly like the original card much more.  Oh well--so be it.

We are  on week four of my series to re-make older cards.  Today I found a card that is not my normal style but one I do like to play around  from time to time.  I honestly feel it was because I was forcing a set to a design -- I usually pick a set and then design a card to match it--I think that is why I do not often make more than one of any card design.   What do you do?  Do you make five or six of a card or just one and move on???

Anyway, back to the cards for today.....

The old card is on the left and the new card is on the right.  I think the main thing that I am not happy with is I do not have very many embossing folders that are current right now and I feel the one used on the first card fits the style of the card better--and I always loved the punch used on the edge of the older one--I also have no border punches anymore that are current  🙁☹ .  I need to get rid of some of my retired stuff and get MORE current, lol.

Here is the new card which is using the SAB set Lots of Lavender.....

The direct to paper  technique is a bit light on the card because the color was dark and didn't want it to be too dark.  And since it was not a solid image like on the other card I chose to stamp off with the image before stamping the image so it would not be too dark.  Then I colored it in with the blends.

So there you have it--I am running late for a bunch of things today so I have to run.  Enjoy your day.  And don't forget to let me know your answer to the question of the week...

So here is the weekly question...
DO YOU LIKE THE OLD OR NEW CARD BETTER???

Here are the supplies used on the new card
