Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge #53

Last week's sketch was a bit hard but this week is really easy so I hope you are gonna play along. I actually had to change one of mine to a regular card instead of a square card and flip it so that the circle was on the other side. Here is the original sketch......

And my first card. This card is 4.25 by 4.25. I love this size card. I had to make a non Valentine card with this one, cuz I am almost Valentined out already!

The background is the floral background stamp embossed in black on Basic Grey. Love the look. And then I added just a few touches of pink. There is a lot of raised areas on this one.

Stamps: To Have and To Hold
Paper: Basic Grey, Basic Black, Whisper White, Regal Rose
Ink: Basic Black
Other: mini pearls, primas, Martha Stewart markers, copics, circle punches, scallop circle punch, clear gel pen on glasses, and ribbon from a Christmas gift.

And now for my second card, because of the way Cupid was facing I had to flip the sketch.

Stamps: Will You Be My Valentine (Storage Units Ink and More)
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Basic Black, Whisper White, Bella Rose dp
Ink: Basic Black
Other: sm scallop blade, white gel pen, mat pack and paper piercer, glitter gel pen, Colluzle, Nestabilities, The Paper Studio Rub On, faux brads, ribbon, Copics, black marker

I would love to have you play along. There are no real rules, just have fun. After you make a card post it on line using the key word TSSC53 and then come on back here and leave me a comment and add your link to Mr Linky. Thanks, I can't wait to see what you come up with.

You all did a fabulous job! Thanks so much for spending the last year with me, I hope you continue to play along for the next year!

Be right back with the new sketch-- YES it is easier. No more triangles or arrow--at least for a while, lol!

Geez, a few busy days. Sorry

Well, I missed a few days here, sorry about that! ( I am trying to re-organize my studio)But my goal this year is not to let things that are not "really" important stress me out. So I am just moving on from here. Today's featured stamper on SCS was Lori Craig she has a great gallery. I chose this card as my inspiration. I kept the layout but changed the stamps and colors and added layers. And there is no stamping on this card!

Stamps: none
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Basic Black. Whisper White, Certainly Celery, and SCWV Nana's Kids dp
Ink: none
Accessories: The Paper Studio Rub-ons, spiral punch, heart punch, martha steward border punch, ribbons - SU and Target dollar spot

Have a great day!

What darling cards! I love the little tags on the second one and the first one is one of my fav color combos! So sweet!

I have a hanging file system that I use for scraps smaller than a half sheet. Any time I cut something, whether it be patterned paper or plain CS, it goes into one of the 50 files labelled with tabs showing SU colors. I chose the closest color (or main color if it is DP) and into the file it goes. Before I can cut a new piece of paper, I look in the file to see what is there. The file folders are on a roller cart, so it makes it handy!
