Different Father's Day Cards

I don't know about you but I have tons and tons and tons and tons of scraps laying around.  And since I do classes I have lots of left over pieces for different card kits too.  So I have been trying to purge some of this--I am re-organizing my scraps to make better use and thought what the heck might as well make a few cards with these weird pieces.  The theme for the weekly challenge on Latenightstampers is Masculine and the ED11 challenge on Latenightstampers is to use brads and/or eyelets, so this is what I came up with combining all of the above!

Most of the pieces for this card were from an old Christmas card from about three or more years ago. Creamy Carmel will not be around much longer so had to use it!  I still have tons of it left!

Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Creamy Carmel, whisper white, very vanilla, and bella blue dp
Ink: creamy carmel, not quite navy
Other: brads, heat and stick, glitter, markers

Maybe a little too fancy for a guy, but maybe not???

This next card is made with scraps that were cut in a strange shape so I tried to make it work.

I know it is a bit of a weird color combo for the theme but I kind of like it.

Stamps:Teeny Tiny Wishes,Totally Tool
Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Very Vanilla, Crushed Curry
Ink; Basic Black
Other: markers, brads, ribbon, embossing folder

That is it for now.  I know they are a bit different than my norm but sometimes you just got to play around.

Bloggers Challenge and more

Alright, so this is supposed to be for three different challenges but I am not sure I aced any of them.  I only had 15 minutes start to post!  So this is as good as it gets today.  Sorry.  The blogger's challenge this week is a sketch.  Should be simple but I did it from memory and did the stripes in the wrong direction!  The second challenge LNS66,  is to use colors of our flag, so I technically should not have used black and the blue is not the right shade.  Third is to use an animal on an Easy and Demonstratable card, ED5.  Well it was easy, but I don't think I like it enough to demonstrate it, lol.  So there you go, as I said above I did not ace any of them.  Oh well, I bet the rest of the girls on the Blogger's challenge team aced it.  You can check out their cards by clicking on the logo on my sidebar.  Off to paint my bathroom, hopfully, if I can get the stinkin wallpaper off.

Stamps: Animal Stories, It's Your Birthday, Curvy Verses
Paper: Ballet Blue, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Ballet Blue, Real Red, Basic Black
Other: marker

Thanks for stopping by,

Ed 3

Welcome to week number three of the ED challenges.  In case you are visiting for the first time and you are not a member of the Latenightstamper's group (gasp) the ED challenge is a challenge with a weekly theme to make Easy and Demonstratable cards.  This weeks theme is Black, White and just a hint of color.  I combined it with the other weekly challenge on Latenightstampers which is to create a Sympathy card.  If you are not a member of the Latenightstampers group and you love Stampin Up! products you can join here!  It is free and 100% SU.  Tons of fabulous samples and ideas each and every day.

Any way, here is my card for the challenges.

I really love the simplicity of this card, it is actually so elegant.

Stamps: Brighter Tomorrow
Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Other: embossing folder, brads, marker

Hope you have time to play along!  Fun challenges.

Ed Who? Ed 2

Welcome to week 2 of the new ED challenge.  Easy and Demonstratable cards.  This week we are working on cards with flowers.  Any flowers.  They could be stamped flowers, flowers on your DP, flowers made from punches as mine are or any other kind of flower you wish.  Here is my sample for today.

It may not look that easy but it certainly was.  The beautiful pansy flowers are made on Shimmery White paper using the re-inker spread technique.  First I punched out two butterflies for each flower.  Then with a fine mist spritzer spray water on the butterflies. One they are nice and wet go around the edges with a paint brush loaded with re-inker.  I used Elegant Eggplant re-inker.  Be sure to let your flowers dry before trying to put brads through the middle or you will be starting over, lol (don't ask).   The leaves are the five petal flower punch.

Stamps: Brighter Tomorrow
Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White, Orchid Opulence, Shimmery White
Ink: Versa Mark
Other: white embossing powder, Brads, embossing folder, butterfly punch, five petal flower punch, re-inkers, paint brush, water spritzer, marker

Thanks for stopping by today, I am glad you did.

4 of a Kind! A new challenge too!

I am going to try to focus on easy and demonstratable cards on Wednesdays for a while.  I am actually going to do it as a challenge on the Latenightstamper's group and would love if you want to play along.  It is easy and free to join the group and you do not have to be a demo either.  Come on over and play along.

Today's challenge is going to be easy and demonstratable cards made with the SAB set Happy Moments.
And of course since I used the happy birthday sentiment on all four cards they fit the Latenightstamper's weekly challenge too--birthday celebrations.

I actually made four cards while I had the products out.

All four cards are made with
Happy Moments Stamp Set
2 sheets of Kraft Cardstock
1/2 sheet of DP
Four markers
Blender Pen
Basic Black and Chocolate Chip ink
and a few punches.

Here are the cards individually........

Hope you will consider playing along with this new challenge!
