Make it and Mail it Mondays

Today I needed a birthday card for a male friend, so of course  I had to use the Mixed Drink stamp set again!   This time I combined it with the Bubble Over stamp set!  They are a great match, don't you think?

The bottle of beer with the mug are perfect together.  I love how cute the die cut bottle cap is.  They are adorable. Don't forget that Mixed Drinks will be retiring along with the Petal Passion Designer paper and Soft Sky paper and ink.  Also Teeny Tiny Wishes!  So be sure to get them before they are gone--all are while supplies last.

Retiring soon--Mixed Drinks

Here is another quick and cute card using the retiring set Mixed Drinks.  I just recently got this set--before the retirement list came out--so glad I did as it is great for so many of the guys in my life.

I used the mirrored image technique to make the two mugs face the opposite directions.  Seemed to make more sense for the clinking of the mugs.    There are many different ways to  do this technique but I chose to stamp the image on a clear block with black ink and the use that block to stamp the  image onto the card stock.  A little bit of fussy  cutting--which really was not too fussy with these images--and I have a fun card to celebrate a variety of different events!

Happy Monday!  Still lousy weather--but it is a new week none the less--even if it looks the same out the window. I am so in need of a few warm and SUNNY days. 

I do plan to brighten up my friends day though with my make it and mail it card today.  Today's recipient just found out he was promoted so I made this simple but cute card to congratulate him.

I actually made three cards with the beer glass today--you will see the other two this week too.  I need to create a few with the other images too--but this mug makes the set a winner for the guys cards I need.  Of course it works for women too as many love beer.  (just not me, lol)

I used the Celebrate You dies for the Celebrate cut out.  This was a freebie during Sale-a-bration.  It may show up in the new catalog though--if you missed out.
