Simple Stems--oh so pretty!

I was not going to get this set as I have so many flower stamps but I talked myself into it and I am so glad.  Not only does it work with the framelits from the Secret Garden set but it is really pretty simply stamped randomly on your cards.  Creating my own Designer Paper!   Love it.

Don't you think they are beautiful.  Love the colors, Real Red, Pool party, So Saffron and Basic Black--two cards about 10 minutes max.  That the way I like it.

Stamps:  Simple Stems, Perfect Pennants
Paper: Real Red, Pool Party, So Saffron, Whisper White
Ink: Real Red, So Saffron, Pool Party, Basic Black
Other: black marker, banner framelits, rhinestones, Decorative Dots embossing folder

Happy Today--it is my 17th wedding anniversary today!

Paper: Pool Party, Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Pool Party, Basic Black, Real Red
Other: bakers twine, small heart punch, nestabilities

Hope you are ready for a wonderful weekend--I know I am--seem crazy that it is Friday already my son was off school Monday - Wednesday because of the weather so the week flew by!

Pretty fun huh: I am excited to see what you do with this sketch.  Give it a try.  When you are done be sure to come on back and leave a direct link below.
Here are a few rules of play....

  1. You have a full week to play along!
  2. Create a new card using the sketch as your inspiration.
  3. Use any products you choose.
  4. Add your card to your blog or other on-line spot and link back to this challenge.
  5. Come back here and add a direct link to your sample for the challenge and NOT you home page of your blog--people will not look for your challenge card--trust me.
  6. And this one is not really a rule but a request--get rid of that word verification!  It makes it hard for us to comment on your samples.  It is easier for you to delete the spam then for us to jump through tons of hoops to comment.  If your put your comments on moderation you do not have to worry about spam--you will have the option to delete it BEFORE it ever goes on your blog so you will ALWAYS be safe!
  7. Have fun and tell you friends to play too!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 298!

Happy Martin Luther King Day--which around here means--Happy No School!  My son is so happy to have another day off--seems that they have not had a full week of school in at least  a month, between conference days, half days, snow days, holidays--they are off every time I turn around!  Good think I love to have him home with me.  Well if you are home maybe you will have more time to play today--so let's get right to the sketch so you can!  Here is this week's sketch...

Here is my sample...

I think I went a little pattern crazy but I actually like it.  Once your eyes can settle on one thing, lol!  I am so loving the colors in this DP.  Obviously since I did my last tutorial using the new SAB set See Ya Later and all my last few cards with it, I may have to order more!

LNS challenge--New beginnings!

A new year and lots of new things--that is what we are celebrating on LNS this week!  Our challenge for the next two weeks is to create a project that celebrates something new--new relationship, new home, new baby--you get it.   Here is my sample for today--it uses the brand new set--Baby We've Grown.

I also used the new paper pack called High Tide.  Cute papers--although some of the patterns I would never use--the opposite sides of those prints are darling!  The colors are Summer Starfruit, Pacific Point, Soft Sky and Whisper White.  I tied a really thin piece of Pacific Point paper on the button.  Didn't have any ribbon that matched.

Don't forget about my newest tutorials

Another New Tutorial--See Ya Later this years SAB set!

Both only $2.50!

Monday again, already!  Well at least we get to work on a new sketch for the week!  That is always a day brightener in my world!  Here is this week's sketch....

I chose to make a love card--but with nontraditional colors.  I am so in love with the colors on the Retro Fresh Designer Series paper--so much I did just a new tutorial with it--hopefully will be done typing it by Tuesday.  But back to this post, here is my sample...

Aren't these colors fun!?  I love the hearts too.  The arrows on the paper made me think of hearts, lol.
Stamps: Express Yourself
Paper: Costal Cabana, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango, Baked Brown Sugar, Very Vanilla and Retro Fresh Designer Series paper
Ink: Coastal Cabana
Other: rhinestones, Hearts a Flutter Framelits, Owl punch, Scallop edge punch, black marker, Tangerine Tango ribbon, Perfect Polka dots embossing folder

Now for the amazing team samples.
