Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 304 (TSSC304)

Time for a brand new sketch.  Hope you had a great week and that you are ready to play along with a brand new sketch challenge this week!  I think it is a really fun one and the team has come up with some fabulous ideas for you!  Let's start with the sketch, shall we?.........

and then my sample....

This for the birds set is one of my favorites and when I started matching up papers for the background the colors made me think of this image and I thought it would be fun to match the two up.  I have so many brand new sets but I adore this one and had to play with it with these colors.  I love how it turned out.  The doily is a great backdrop for the image!

Stamps: For the Birds, Sweet Essentials
Paper: Crumb Cake, Real Red, Whisper White and dp from the Fresh Prints stack
Ink: Basic Black
Other: markers, floral embelishment, doily, nestabilities
And now for the rest of the team's samples....

Amazing right?  These girls really are a talented bunch!
Now it is your turn to play along.
If you do create something with this sketch please remember to come on back and add your direct link to the linky tool below.
Here are a few rules of play....

  1. You have a full week to play along!
  2. Create a new card using the sketch as your inspiration.
  3. Use any products you choose.
  4. Add your card to your blog or other on-line spot and link back to this challenge.
  5. Come back here and add a direct link to your sample for the challenge and NOT you home page of your blog--people will not look for your challenge card--trust me.
  6. And this one is not really a rule but a request--get rid of that word verification!  It makes it hard for us to comment on your samples.  It is easier for you to delete the spam then for us to jump through tons of hoops to comment.  If your put your comments on moderation you do not have to worry about spam--you will have the option to delete it BEFORE it ever goes on your blog so you will ALWAYS be safe!
  7. Have fun and tell you friends to play too!

    Thanks, Mary Jo

Try Stamping on Tuesday.

Come on over and play along with us this week on the Try Stamping on Tuesday Blog!
Here is our sketch:

And my design team sample....

I seem to use this set a lot on Tuesdays??  Wonder why?  I think it works so well with so many different sketches.  It is a really easy stamp to work with--it does not seem to matter what part of the butterfly is showing it always looks good--maybe it is because I love butterflies?

Stamps:  Swallowtail,  Sweet Essentials
Paper: Pool Party, Whisper White, Soho Subway dp
Ink: basic Black
Other: markers, ribbon, button

Happy today!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Try Stamping on Tueday!

I am so loving my butterfly stamp--once I finally inked it up I am finding it so easy to make quick and pretty cards.  Today is one of those....

Stamps: Swallowtail, Sweet Essentials
Paper: Island Indigo, Very Vanilla, SoHo Subway DP
Ink: Island Indigo
Other :rhinestone and my favorite candy dots!

Pretty clean and simple design--of course the sketch is from our Try Stamping on Tuesday challenge.  Here is this week's sketch...

Fun sketch, although it really made me think again--I think it is the swirls that we have on many of the recent sketches that make them feel hard to me.  I don't have images like that and always have to try to figure out what to do to utilize that area.  But this time I went with plain old candy dots--once I get past the swirls I am all set, lol!  Come on over and play along--or just see what others have done with the sketch!

Enjoy the HOT day!  Love it, spent the day at the beach yesterday--and I am like a french fry today, lol!

Fast and Beautiful!

I am so excited to finally play with this set--although I only made one card so far it was crazy easy and absolutely beautiful!  I love it.  I am sure if you are a reader of my blog you are aware that I love butterflies so it is pretty incredible to realize I have had this stamp for quite some time but have not used it.  Too busy with DT and Tutorial duties, lol!  Anyway here is my first card--and I love it!

I am so obsessed with the Pool Party color I can not seem to make a card without adding it somewhere--and I especially love it with the Island Indigo as it is paired up with here.  I added a touch of Black to make things pop a bit!

Stamps: Swallowtail, Sweet Essentials
Paper: Pool Party, Whisper White
Ink: Island Indigo, Basic Black
Other: black marker and my favorite candy dots!

Sorry for all the short posts this week--I have been camping all week and did all these post before leaving.  Hope I am basking in the sun and not swimming in the rain puddles!
Either way it is time spent with my son and I am loving it!

Try Stamping on Tuesday!

Wow, what a fun weekend--just wish it was a bit warmer out--would have been nice to get a little pool action in over the weekend but it was not in the forecast, lol!  But I did get my veggies all planted so that is a BIG plus.

So as you know--it is Tuesday and that always means Try Stamping on Tuesday has a new sketch for us.  Be sure to check out what the rest of the team did with the sketch by clicking here.

Here is my sample for this week...

I am desperately trying to use up my Pretty in Pink Paper stash--not sure why I have so much of it.  Here is the sketch we are working with this week...

Ink: Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery
