Quick Sympathy card.

Had a request for a few simple and fast to reproduce sympathy cards--this certainly fits that...

I let the designer paper take center stage.  Behind the With Sympathy sentiment I stamped the decorative element from the Madison Avenue Set in Saraha Sand ink then stamped right over the top in Basic Black with the sentiment from the Loving Thoughts set.  The scallop is from the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die.  And the heart is the small heart punch with a rhinestone in the center. Quick and easy.

Stamps: Madison Avenue, Loving Thoughts
Paper; Basic Gray, Basic Black
Ink: Basic Black, Sahara Sand
Other: Tasteful Trim die, small heart punch, rhinestone, marker for edging.

TGIF!

A bit of Green for you today!

The ways to use it challenge today on SCS is to use the color green!  Sounds easy enough right?!  Since I just re-discovered how much I love Calypso Coral I thought I would mix the two--with a bit more green that orange.

I really love this new SAB set --Madison Avenue--really fun to work with.  I also used those new BIG rhinestones.  Love it.

Stamps: Madison Avenue, Itty Bitty Banners
Paper: Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, Whisper White, International Bazaar DP
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral
Other: Rhinestones, framelits, SAB ribbon.

Hope you have a great day--my little guys is 13 as of today!  I actually cried more than once already today--where does the time go.  Hold them close and let them know you love them--kids, friends, anyone who means anything to you!

Couple cards for today

First and foremost--I am having a bitter sweet day as I make the card below--even shed a few tears--my baby is turning 13 tomorrow.  How does that happen.  It feels like just yesterday we brought him home form the hospital.  He has been a constant joy in my life and I am so grateful to be his mom.  But a teenager--seriously!!!   With that this is his birthday card....

he is obsessed with all things military--even says he is going to be a Marine Force Recon when he is older--no wonder I stress so much!  The crazy kid.  I used the sketch challenge on SCS for the layout and it really came together quick!  Here is the inside...

I also want to share with you my second card for the LNS challenge this week--Feeling Blue--make a card with blue as your main color--I chose to go with Midnight Muse and Bashful Blue.  Need a few cards for the church ministry card tree--need to be flat and mailable--so here it is.

Card 1 details:
Images--on done on my computer--I cut out two of the drill sergeant so I could make him 3d like--his hand and face are both popped up and add so much to the finished card. Retired Happy Birthday To You stamps.
Paper: Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand, Whisper White
Ink: Always Artichoke
other: markers, nestibility dies, stick on star and tiny circle punch

Card 2:  Oh Hello, Blessings From Heaven
Paper: Bashful Blue, Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla, DP
Ink: Bashful Blue, Midnight Muse
Other: framelits, sponges

Hope your have a wonderful Wednesday!

Try Stamping on Tuesday

It's Tuesday again so that we are working on a new sketch over on the Try Stamping On Tuesday Blog.  I hope you can play along. We are celebrating TSOT's  two year anniversary so it is a PRIZE week!  This week we have a pretty simple layout--I finally pulled out my Feeling Sentimental Stamp set to play.

I also pulled out a color I have not used in a while--Calypso Coral!  So pretty.  I even left the layout nice and simple.  The Hello comes from the Oh, Hello set--I cut the Oh and the Hello in two since I know there will be more times that I want to use the Hello.

Here is the sketch.... as you can see I flipped it to make my bike image work.  The black frame is from the Labels Collection framelits--I used the same die in two different directions--Look here for a tutorial that I did a while ago on how to do that HERE

Stamps: Feeling Sentimental, Oh Hello
Paper: Calypso Coral, Basic Black, Whisper White and Tea for Two Designer Series Paper
Ink: Basic Black, Calypso Coral
Other: Labels Collection Framelits, marker, sponges, white gel pen
