Blogger's Challenge 53

This week's challenge was to use some type of resist technique. Easy right? This card almost hit the trash at least three times, and I'm really not sure it don't belong there now! It is so far from what I was thinking in my head. I wanted a simple, classy, shimmery gate fold card -- but this just is not doing it for me. I only throw away maybe 1 or 2 cards a year and this one was oh so very close to being the one for this year, lol. But due to it be summer and having a extremely full schedule with no other time to stamp today -- this is what you get, sorry.

The card is made using Shimmery White. I used my scor pal to create the gate fold - so easy! Then before I folded it I inserted each side up to the score into my cuttlebug folder --it actually lines up in the middle which is really cool. The hearts are embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder that has a tiny bit of very fine red glitter to match the baubles. They are pink with red specks. After embossing I colored the edge with Pretty in Pink marker and the center with chalk-both resist the embossed part. I also did the top and bottom edges with the Pretty in Pink marker. Here is a close up of the hearts. You can see the little specks of red glitter if you really look.

And here is a close up of the baubles although I could not get a clear picture so it is probably not gonna help, lol. The baubles have little red specks in them. They are from the Robin's Nest.

Well, there you go -- not what I wanted but what the heck!
