Take Two Tuesday week 3

Another  morning waking up to snow on the ground!  I honestly am ready for  flip flops and bathing suits.  Enough of this already!  Curious, how is the weather where you are?

So hopefully I can brighten up your day a bit with some fun crafting!

Today is week three of my Take Two Tuesday challenge and I am still playing around with those cute little pigs from the This Little Piggy set.  These guys make me smile -- I hope they make you smile too.

I found a super fun old card to recreate today!  I am not sure why this one is still in my stash and never used???  I make way more cards then I send --I really need to start sending more--I am the worst!

So here is a picture of the two cards next to each other.  I remember this old set well, I loved it.  I think it was called Pun Fun and it had the cutest little skunk in the set with the I stink your sweet saying.  Do you remember it?

I love this layout.  I love the sentiment around the image panel.  I don't do that enough--it is a cute touch.

I can't say enough how much this set makes me smile.  Some stamps just do that--these little pigs seem to come to life when stamped and colored.

The supplies used for today's card will be at the end of this post.  First I want to take a moment to remind you that our Sale-a-Bration event is coming to an end soon (March 31st).  Have you taken advantage of the freebies yet?  This is the time to stock up on things you use all the time--whisper white card stock, envelopes, adhesive, etc.  You can earn freebies for each $50 in sales!  It is also an amazing time to join my team and save up to 25% on all your purchases--not to mention all the other awesome perks and commissions.  Ask me for more information--I would love to chat with you about it and see if it is a fit for you!

I sure hope you have an amazing day today!  I have a jammed packed morning but I  am excited to have some free time tonight for more crafting!

Hello Spring

With more talk about snow today I had to play around with some spring ideas.  I love these little pigs and they created the most adorable scene when combined with the Garden Girl set.  I can't help but smile at this jumping pig trying to catch a butterfly!  Just too cute!

I used my old stampin blendabilities to color the images as I do not have the new improved ones yet!  They are definitely on my wishlist though. The hello spring sentiment is also from a set that just retired called Crazy for You.  I was just determined to have the word SPRING on this card!  I can NOT wait!

I hope you have an amazing start to your week!  Happy Monday.  Don't forget to stop back tomorrow for week number 3 of my Take Two Tuesday series.

Today's card uses the following.....

Take Two Tuesday Week 2

Here we go.....week number two in my new series.

I am so happy you stopped by today to check out week two and I am excited about this week's cards so I am going to jump right in.  Although both of my cards use flower sets and the same layout they have a very different look and feel--don't you agree?

The new card uses the beautiful Blossoming Basket Bundle that you can earn for free with a $100 purchase--both the stamp set and the amazing new embossing folder.

Simply beautiful--even prettier when stamped.  I decided to go with traditional red roses.  My favorite--so pretty.

It was hard to photograph all the texture on this card because of the black background--not sure what made me pick these colors but I think it turned out pretty!

This was such a fun and easy image to color.  I want this beautiful basket on my table!  What are you thoughts about having no traditional white background?

Here is the old card--I can not even think of the name of this set.  I know it was one of my favorites.  I love the color combo too--

Notice the brads--I think I used them on each and every card I made back then--and the paper piercer!  Or the "poinker thing" as the girls in my class used to call it.  Do you remember the name of this set?

So here is the weekly question...

Matching card and gift made easy.

Yesterday I was going to meet my mom and her friend at bingo--her friend's daughter was celebrating her birthday.  I have only met her once before but I still did not want to show up empty handed--ya know what I mean?  So I quickly put together a fun little gift with matching card using out thinlet dies.  The whole thing cost me about $2 but seems like so much more--don't you agree?

I used our sunshine wishes dies to cut a flower out of vinyl for the cup and a matching flower from Marina Mist card stock for the card. The hello is from a retired die set called Hello You. I think it works perfectly on the mug. The card is made really quickly on our note cards. I used the brick wall background embossing folder and a few rhinestones to finish it off. The sentiment and inside are from the Five for All stamp set.
Quick and cute--you all know that is my kind of project.

I have a case of these mugs for just this type of project.  But this is the first time that I used our dies on vinyl.  I could not get the die to not cut through the image so I just added the die cut vinyl to a piece of transfer tape and then took the backing off to expose the sticky side.  Love how cute the card and cup looked together.

The Stamin Up! supplies used for this project are below and if you click on any of the items it will take you directly to my website for ordering purposes!  Don't forget if you do order anything to use the hostess code and get an extra free gift from me!  Over and above the Sale-a-bration gift from Stampin Up! available until March 31.

Hogs and Kisses--You make me happy.

I had a fun event at my home the other day with some Stampin Up! teammates!  One of my ultimate favorite thing about being a demo is the relationships that have been formed with both other demonstrators and my customers!  I love meeting new people and this job certainly gives me the opportunity to do that 😃

Part the event included a shoe box swap--which just means we all created a project and brought all the supplies needed for the project so that we could all make each others cards.  Love that--it is so fun to learn from each other and share our designs.  That way I can share their work with YOU too!  But for today I am sharing the card I created for the swap.

I used the adorable This Little Piggy Stamp set.  I am not sure why but I always find all farm animals pretty irresistible.  I think I should have been a farmer--never worked out that way, so I just enjoy them in a different way!

These little guys are just cute as can be!  Each image in the set is cuter than the rest--and my head is spinning with ideas of different designs to create.  So stay tuned--I will for sure be playing some more with them!  Here is the inside of the card.

all supplies used can be found at end of post.

Fun, fun fun!  Speaking of fun here are a few pictures of our team meeting...

We would love to have you join us next time.  Have you ever thought of being a Stampin Up! demo???  I can not tell you how perfect it is to join now--SALE-A-BRATION makes it a no brainer!

Friends who are searching for something new--something fun--a way to help your family financially--a chance to spend time with other innovative people who understand YOU and encourage you at all times.

Join my tribe of fun loving creative people who love to share and encourage others to succeed in whatever it is THEY WANT to succeed at. Positive, motivated business minded women empowering each other in every way possible.

Let me answer a few of the most common questions that I always get when people consider joining my team–For me, building a downline (see below) is all about having a TEAM, a TRIBE, a group of people who become Demonstrators because they love the product, love stamping and just want more of it in their lives. Whether someone wants to become a Demonstrator because they want a discount, because they want to earn all the benefits that Stampin' Up! offers or whether they want to offer their own products (yes, see below for that, too!) using Stampin' Up! as their materials provider, there are a zillion ways being a “demo” can be an income producer and a blast!

Let's get started!

The first question I am most often asked is “How much does it cost?'. A Starter Kit, complete with $125.00 of merchandise of your choice, catalogs, order forms and other business supplies, costs only $99 AND it has FREE shipping! NOTE: During Sale-A-Bration, now through March 31, you will get to choose two additional stamp sets absolutely free with your kit! (That's an added value of up to $104 depending on what you choose!) You can also get your Starter Kit absolutely FREE with Stampin' Rewards!

If you decide to continue beyond your first full quarter, you will need to purchase a minimum of $300 a quarter – not a month – through your account. These can be orders customers place, order you place for your own stash, gift orders you place, Paper Pumpkin subscriptions – really anything other than business supplies. You can drop at any time with no penalty and if you try it and decide it's not for you, I guarantee we will stay stamping buddies!

The next question I get asked is “Can I really make money at this?”. The answer is YES! Absolutely. How much you make will, of course, depend on how much time you devote to it but you can have a burgeoning business like I do or you can make just enough to support your own purchases, and anything in between. You can earn money on commissions on your sales (the percentage increases as your sales grow), you can earn money on your volume rebates and downline performance, you can earn money by offering classes for fees and you can sell your finished products. Provided you follow the rules (which are fair), you can do whatever you want to earn money using Stampin' Up! products. In addition, through sales and recruiting (see below), you can earn Flex Points which you can use for all sorts of things like crafting products from the catalogs, fun branded items, all sorts of tech, gift cards AND the mac-daddy of them all, an AWESOME trip! Demonstrators have been treated to places like Fiji, the Mediterranean, Thailand, this year we are going on a luxurious cruise to Alaska…..and it's a FABULOUS experience! And those Flex Points are on TOP of your earnings!

Next people always want to know “Do I have to recruit?” Anyone you sign up under your name is considered your downline. Your downline will look to you for guidance and support and in turn, you can earn percentages of their sales every quarter. If you decide you want to have a traditional Stampin' Up! business at some time you will want to look at this part of the compensation program and start offering the opportunity to people. But it is NOT mandatory to recruit so if you decide that you aren't at all interested in that part of the program, it is absolutely OK with skipping it. I have to warn you, though; people LOVE Stampin' Up! so at some point someone is probably going to ask about it!

If I decide to hold events, how will I know what to do?” Well, first, you will have me as your awesome upline! Our group loves to share ideas and work together as a team to help each other be successful! And Stampin' Up! provides TONS of inspiration and instruction. There's the six-times-a-year magazine Stampin' Success, filled with projects and ideas you can do right then and there. There's Stampin' Connection, a whole site of nothing but questions, answers, advice and ideas from other demos. There's the Demonstrator Only Facebook Group that has a constant stream of support. You will get a weekly email from Stampin' Up! with creative suggestions. And there's the Demonstrator Website where you can find anything and everything you need to know about being a demo. Trust me, you will be deciding what NOT to do instead of looking for WHAT to do.

Believe it or not, once we get this far into the conversation, they next thing people want to know is “Where can I sign up?!?!” It's super easy, you can do it online here and I would LOVE to welcome you to my team if this is something you would like to try.

Have questions that aren't covered in this FAQ about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator? Simply ask! Email me, mj-mail@twc.com and let's get the conversation started. You will rapidly learn on this call that I am not at all a high pressure person, this decision is 100% yours and I respect your time in calling me. If it is right for you, great! If it isn't, that’s ok too!
