Try Stamping on Tuesday Challenge.

I am loving my sample for this week's sketch challenge on Try Stamping on Tuesday.  The sketch is simple and cute and the theme is a fun one.  Check it out below....

Theme: Snow Is Coming

I am loving having the themes with the sketches, but remember you do not have to use the theme to play along with the sketch.  It is an extra optional thing.  

Here is my card for the sketch and theme....

I so love snow theme cards on Craft or Crumb Cake card stock.  I just think it is such a fun look.  The trees are stamped on the crumb cake, colored in with blendabilities and then I added snow on the branches with a white gel pen.  The snowman is stamped on Whisper White and cut out and add to the card so that is is a bright solid white!  I love that look and the little bird--perfect!  So fun to play with this set.

Paper: Crumb Cake and Whisper White

Ink: Basic Brown, Memento Black

Other: white gel pen, white ribbon, blendabilities, oval and scallop oval dies, glitter tape

The colors of Christmas.

Over on Latenightstamper's this week we are focusing on our favorite color combos for Christmas.  the last two days I posed cards with Cherry Cobbler and Lucky Limeade.  Such fun colors.  But for some reason I am always drawn to blue and white or blue and vanilla cards for the season.  So here is my Midnight Muse and Very Vanilla sample for you.  I just adore this Scentsational Season stamp set.  All of the images are so cute.

Tip:  Stamp the steam on velum so that it is see through and looks more realistic!

More Monday Lunchtime Sketch Players!

This is even my 3rd card with the sketch this week! What is up with that. I really like how this one turned out in real life. I used that Corde'dinations card stock that is two colors. This particular piece is Dark blue on top and light blue core so when you sand it you can see the light blue through. I know it looks white in the picture but it is indeed blue. I created this for yesterday's color challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The challenge was to create a monochromatic card. There are tiny blue bling on the main snowflake too, you probably have to click on the image to enlare it to be able to see it. Let it SNOW?!? And it's a slow go!

Look close at this background. Isn't is so cool. This is the new CORE'DINATIONS CARDSTOCK It is so cool! I used my snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder and then just sanded the raised images a bit. Looks really cool in person. And so easy too. You can purchase and see all the wonderful colors at Storage Units Inks & More.




This was just a fun card to make. It is much more fun to play with snow stamps than to deal with the real stuff! Of course that is coming from a Western New Yorker and we get a lot of that white stuff around here -- most years.

My goal both on-line and off this year for the CROP hunger walk is $1000! I know I set my sights high but I am enthusiastic and know that this is a super worthy cause.
