Try Stamping on Tuesday Challenge.

I am loving my sample for this week's sketch challenge on Try Stamping on Tuesday.  The sketch is simple and cute and the theme is a fun one.  Check it out below....

Theme: Snow Is Coming
I am loving having the themes with the sketches, but remember you do not have to use the theme to play along with the sketch.  It is an extra optional thing.
Here is my card for the sketch and theme....

I so love snow theme cards on Craft or Crumb Cake card stock.  I just think it is such a fun look.  The trees are stamped on the crumb cake, colored in with blendabilities and then I added snow on the branches with a white gel pen.  The snowman is stamped on Whisper White and cut out and add to the card so that is is a bright solid white!  I love that look and the little bird--perfect!  So fun to play with this set.

Stamps: White Christmas and the retired Thanks Snow Much for the sentiment
Paper: Crumb Cake and Whisper White
Ink: Basic Brown, Memento Black
Other: white gel pen, white ribbon, blendabilities, oval and scallop oval dies, glitter tape

Be sure to check out the rest of the team and their fabulous samples.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 342 (TSSC342)

We are still digging out from 7 foot of snow--actually it is melting pretty fast too which is helping us out.  We were completely snowed in for 5 days!  It was pretty impressive I have lived in the Buffalo area all my life and this was one of the worst storms I remember.  Luckily we had no big problems, other than lack of electricity for half a day, a bit of water in the basement today and our shed collapsing.  Others were not so fortunate, several deaths and lots and lots of roofs collapsing and other property damage.  They say it will be sixty degrees tomorrow!  That should be really fun, lol. Here is a quick picture of the storm from from across the lake......

And one of my son sitting on top of the snow with the dogs, that is the roof of our house behind his head.

Crazy lake effect snow!  Anyway I know you are here for the new sketch challenge so lets get to it....

And my sample....

You can not see all the sparkle on this sample in the picture but all the snowflakes and snow are sparkly.  You would think I would have had enough snow, right?  This is a really cute set and I can't wait to play with it some more, I have another sample with it for tomorrows Try Stamping on Tuesday post.
Stamps: White Christmas
Paper: Smokey Slate, Lost Lagoon, Whisper White and All is Calm DP
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Blendabilities, glitter pen, Circle Framelits, Window Frame Framelits

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 338 (TSSC338)

I am excited about the new sketch this week!  I can't wait to see your samples.  It is such a fun sketch and it is a square card, I don't do many of those for sketches.  Hope you find time to play along.  Here is the sketch for this week....

Here is my sample it is my first time using the White Christmas Set. A pretty fun set with lots of fun little images that can be used together.  Funny, one of the Design Team members used the same set and same colors!  That has not happened in quite a while-you all know what they say--great minds think alike, lol, I forgot the ribbon though--go figure!  Anyway here is my sample....

I think this little bear is just adorable and it really looks like he is looking up so I had to use the old retired sentiment inside my card "Near and Far Follow His Star".  The Merry & Bright sentiment is also retired.
Stamps: White Christmas, retired sentiments
Paper: Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon, Pear Pizazz, Whisper White and All is Calm DP
Ink: Brown, Black
Other: rhinestones, markers, glitter on snowflakes, white gel pen
