Make it and mail it Monday!

Good Monday Morning to you!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend and now you are ready to rock the new week!  Mondays are actually one of my favorite days--back on track with a brand new week to fix what when wrong last week or even better to keep pushing on things that went right!

On Mondays I have been making a card with a specific person in mind and then sending it out right away.   It is really weird how many cards I make and how few I send--embarrassing really.  So this is my new thing so I know that I at the VERY LEAST send one card a week!

Today's card is for a sweet friend who is struggling with a nasty beginning to a divorce.  She has been with the same man her whole life and now it is over and it has been really  hard on her.  I am actually friends with both of them and just feel horrible for how ugly it has gotten.  So I thought I sweet simple pretty card would brighten her day a bit.  So I used the beautiful Blossoming Basket Bundle set that you can still earn for FREE during this final week of Sale-a-bration.

This super easy to use stamp set actually has a matching basket weave embossing folder that is bundled with it but I chose now to use it on this card.  I wanted all the with space to just be plain besides I have the soft circle of sponged Soft Sky ink behind the basket.  I used the largest circle in the Stitch Shapes Framelits set to create a mask for the sponging.

Springtime Foils Designer Paper--you still have time to earn it for FREE!

One of the amazing free items you can earn from Sale-a-bration with a $50 order is the beautiful Springtime Foils Designer Paper. This paper is amazing--it is thicker than regular card stock and has a shiny finish. And I can not tell you how fun it is to color with our fabulous Blends! It is like therapy for sure!

This particular piece of the card stock is so pretty--lots of big flowers and rose gold foil creating the designs. Our blends work so well on this paper. Add a glass of wine and you are ready for a full night of relaxation! I colored a few pieces and made three easy cards!

I chose to use the beautiful Rose Wonder stamp set with these papers because of the beautiful sentiments I also used the matching Die set.

These are just stunning images and dies. I truly love the sentiments in the stamp set--especially the Isiah scripture I used on my first card--Fear Not--I have a ring that says that to remind me of this very scripture. So encouraging to me at many times in my life. I colored the paper with Calypso Coral and Old Olive blends (old ones--still waiting on the new ones). As you can see I cut out one of the flowers and added it to the top of the oval shape that has the scripture on it. I love it! So simple but it perfectly shows off the beautiful paper and of course that scripture deserves to be a focal image.

The second card I chose to color the background instead of the flowers....

I used one of my favorite color combos-- Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder.  This one has a soft feel and I felt like it fit the sentiment perfectly!  Again I cut out one of the flowers from the paper to pop up on the front of the card by the sentiment.  Crazy how different it looks, don't you think?

The third card I thought I would use two other patterns from the paper.   I only colored the leaves on the one.  I really wanted to emboss the rose image with silver or gold embossing powder but apparently that is not one of the items that I transferred from my old home to the new one yet!  It has been a VERY slow process, lol.  There was just too much stuff!  So I compromised and used the dies with the Wild Wasabi and Whisper White paper--I am happy with the result.

Again, I love the sentiment.  This Rose Wonder set is full of amazing sentiments.

So hopefully I have made you see some of the ideas of what can be done with this awesome paper--there is a never ending supply of ideas for it.  So be sure to get yours for FREE before it is all over--this is a while supplies last item!

Two for one--no scraps

Just playing around a bit today with the Flourish dies.  Today was the first time I used this die from the set and I loved both the negative and the die cut itself so of course I thought I would try to make two cards--one using each but keeping them both simple and the same colors and supplies.  I think they are both pretty cards.  Do you agree????

I really have to get out my photo taking supplies--I am not able to get good pictures by just setting them on my cutter 😒 I have one of those photo tents in one of these boxes with all the retired sets I have to go through and maybe sell?  I hate going through them though because once I see them again I love them again, lol.  No wonder there are literally hundreds of them!

Maybe you can get a better view of the cards in individual pictures......

This second card uses the retired diagonal scoring plate to make the old olive card stock match the first card.  I didn't realize it was retired  😕

Amazing Lavender--and New Sale-a-bration items to earn for FREE

I was convinced I wanted to use these two Sale-a-bration freebies on one card because they are my two favorites. I love the font on the word amazing--and you have no idea how much I love lavender!
