Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 322 (TSSC322)

Another week gone--the good news is there is another sketch to play along with--the bad news is it is a crazy one--I am not sure what I was thinking when I came up with this one--lots of elements!  Should be fun to see what people come up with--after all it is called a challenge right?!

Here is the sketch....

I am still playing with the new in colors -- I just love them! I pulled out the Serene Silhouettes stamp set along with the Lots of Thanks set to come up with this....

Can you tell I had a jar of cut out buttons sitting next to me?  Too funny it was like the never ending card, I just kept adding and adding until I was out of room! Funny thing is I kind of like it!

I am so impressed with team's samples--it was not an easy one but they made it look easy!

Now let's see what you can come up with!  Come on back and leave your link below when you are finished with your sample.   Here are some basic rules for the challenge....
  1. You have a full week to play along!
  2. Create a new card using the sketch as your inspiration.
  3. Use any products you choose.
  4. Add your card to your blog or other on-line spot and link back to this challenge.
  5. Come back here and add a direct link to your sample for the challenge and NOT you home page of your blog--people will not look for your challenge card--trust me.
  6. And this one is not really a rule but a request--get rid of that word verification!  It makes it hard for us to comment on your samples.  It is easier for you to delete the spam then for us to jump through tons of hoops to comment.  If your put your comments on moderation you do not have to worry about spam--you will have the option to delete it BEFORE it ever goes on your blog so you will ALWAYS be safe!
  7. Have fun and tell you friends to play too!

    Thanks for playing along!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 278 (TSSC278)

Happy Labor Day to you and yours.  This is such a bittersweet holiday for me.  It always reminds me that summer is coming to an end.  I love summer, I love warm/hot weather, I love bare feet, I especially  love having my son home everyday with me.  But alas a new school year will begin in a few short days and I will long for the lazy crazy days of summer again.

I hope you find time to play along with my sketch challenge this week! It is an fun one and the design team has outdone themselves--again--I know I say that all the time but they are really crazy talented!

Here is this week's sketch....

And my card...

I used the Natural Composition Specialty Paper.  If you are thinking it looks different that is because I ran my white ink pad over it to make the embossed part pop a bit more--it made it look so much darker.  I love the look, don't you?

Stamps: Serene Silhouettes and Blessings from Heaven
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Natural Composition Specialty Paper
Ink: Baked Brown Sugar, Whisper White
Other: scallop edge punch, 1 3/4 inch circle punch, 1 3/8 inch circle punch

Here is the rest of the teams samples...

Latenightstamper's challenge day!

Today I am sharing another sample for this week's challenge on Latenightstampers.  This week we are using candy bar as inspiration for our designs!  You can use the colors or design, you can use the actual wrapper or candy bar -- any way your are inspired by candy bars!  The ideas are endless and left to your imagination.  Of course you can view the teams designs and see what inspired them by clicking HERE.

This time I was inspired by the layout and colors of a King Size Kit Kat Bar!

Do you see the resemblance?  I think this is such a fun challenge-not sure who's idea it was but I love it. We did do it once before a few years ago but I forgot about it.  Here is the Kit Kat bar to see how I was inspired.
Stamps: So Sorry, Serene Silhouettes
Paper: Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso
Other: embossing folders, framelits

Come on over and play along!  It is a fun one!

With Sympathy.

Not my favorite cards to make--and not ones that I generally make at the time I need--I usually like to have them on hand.  With that being said my supply is low--since I like to have a variety on hand so I can pick one that fits--hence today's post.

Have you noticed that I am sooooo stuck in this color palette.  I just love it.  It certainly helps when you get the DP that matches for free--SAB is awesome!

Lot going on today so my post is short and sweet.
Stamps: Serene Silhouettes, Warmest Thoughts
Paper: Island Indigo, Pool Party, Whisper White, Sycamore Street DP
Ink: Pool Party, Island Indigo
Other: circle punch, markers, white gel pen, Honeycomb embossing folder

Happy Today!

Playing around with some dies.

I have so many cards to share with you but I need to get pictures of them all.  Here is a quick and simple one I came up with playing around with some dies.  All the dies used are from Spellbinder's.  The embossing folder and all other supplies are Stampin Up!.  I thought it was a fun way to use the dies for something different--yet still a simple card.

I stamped the whole tree image on the inside.  The section on the front is just the smallest of the trees in the image.  You can see the entire set below.  Such a great set, Serene Silhouettes.
Serene Silhouettes Clear-Mount Stamp Set

Colors used are Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Very Vanilla.

Hope you are having a great week!  Need to take my cat to the vet today--she really dislikes them since being fixed and de-clawed--wish me luck!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 232 (TSSC232)

Here we go again--I have to say that I am a bit disappointed at the amount of people playing along the last few weeks but the good news is that it gets me stamping every Monday morning to start my week off right!  Here is this week's sketch....

Not the easiest one out there but I bet you guys will rock it!  I have to say I am surprising happy with my sample.  Different, simple and fun!  What do you think?

For my circles I used the 1 3/4 inch punch and scored two sides at 1/4 then folded it over to create the little flaps--you may have to click on the card to be able to see what I mean.  The colors are Chocolate Chip, Pacific Point, Lucky Limeade and Whisper White.  The stamp sets used are Serene Silhouettes and Blessings from Heaven.  I also used the tulips border embossing folder and the polka dot one too!

Thanks so much for stopping by today--I hope you choose to play along.  Remember it is a blog hop so if you add the code to you blog while in the HTML mode your readers can play along right from your blog!

Can't wait to see your creation with this sketch--hurry up and get stamping!  Them come on back and add your samples below!

Happy new week!
