Try Stamping on Tuesday!

We have a fun sketch for you this week on the Try Stamping On Tuesday blog.

When I first looked at the sketch I was a bit confused with what I wanted to do so I walked over to my work table and the first thing I seen was the beautiful DP from the Tea For Two paper pack and knew I wanted to use the rose paper and go from there--the rest of the card just kind of had a mind of it's own and it just evolved without much thought at all.  When I was done and looked back at the sketch I seen that I totally left off the ribbon-darn--so I cut a really thin strip of the Lucky Limeade card stock and added it to the left side as though it was ribbon.  The bow broke a few times but I was finally able to make it work.  I actually like how the card turned out--what do yo think?

I made sure to make it a birthday card so that it also fits the LNS challenge for the week--birthdays.  My son's birthday was on the seventh and mine is coming up this Saturday so that is what spurred the birthday challenge.

Stamps: Itty Bitty Banners, Papillion Potpourri
Paper: Soft Suede, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla, DP from the Tea For Two paper pack
Ink: Soft Suede, Lucky Limeade
Other: scallop edge punch, banner dies, small butterfly punch

Hope you day is filled with happiness--thanks for stopping by.

A bit of Green for you today!

The ways to use it challenge today on SCS is to use the color green!  Sounds easy enough right?!  Since I just re-discovered how much I love Calypso Coral I thought I would mix the two--with a bit more green that orange.

I really love this new SAB set --Madison Avenue--really fun to work with.  I also used those new BIG rhinestones.  Love it.

Stamps: Madison Avenue, Itty Bitty Banners
Paper: Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, Whisper White, International Bazaar DP
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral
Other: Rhinestones, framelits, SAB ribbon.

Hope you have a great day--my little guys is 13 as of today!  I actually cried more than once already today--where does the time go.  Hold them close and let them know you love them--kids, friends, anyone who means anything to you!

Try Stamping on Tuesday

Here we are again--another Tuesday, another great sketch.  Hope you can join us this week! You can view the original post and all the fabulous DT samples by visiting the home page

Try Stamping on Tuesday

Here is this week's sketch....

And of course my sample...

I had some fun playing with the different heart framelits.  Isn't it cute.  I love the big heart in the background--kind of hard to see as it almost blends in.  I didn't put a Valentine sentiment on here because I wanted to be able to use it anytime just to let someone special know I love them!

Stamps: Itty Bitty Banners, Hearts a Flutter
Paper: Real Red, Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Primrose Petals
Ink: Real Red
Other: Framelits, marker, dots embossing folder

Don't forget I started my Monday Lunchtime Sketch challenges again this week too!  You can view this week;s sketch and the fabulous designs from the new Design Team  HERE!

Another Fall card--a swap gone bad!

This card was for a swap that I thought I was in but I miss read the details so after I hurried up and got my card done-last minute (cuz I forgot I signed up) and rushed to the post office I found out I was not part of the swap after all--go figure! But the good news is that I have a gift set to give to a friend of mine who loves this set!

It is always such a nice change of pace to use fall colors.  I love the relaxing feel of this card.

Stamps: Gently Falling, Itty Bitty Banners
Paper: Soft Suede, More Mustard, Very Vanilla, Comfort Cafe DP
Ink: Soft Suede, More Mustard, Cajun Craze
Other: crochet ribbon, brad, bitty banners die, sponges, scallop border punch, tulip border embossing folder, markers

My son goes back to school tomorrow and I have a few last minute touches to put on some staff gifts.  See ya soon!
