Take Two Tuesday week 10

Good sunny morning to you! It is looking like a beautiful day her in western New York--hope you are as lucky as us. It is so good to feel the warmth of the sun on my face--it makes everything better.

Today's Take Two Tuesday's card is such a cute one--I used the Bella and friends set for the  first time! And it is so fun!  I can't wait to use it again and again.   I  love it.

I  love this simple layout  and I honestly feel like it was perfect for this image.  And how cute is that sentiment??  Perfect match for the cute little image!  It is from the retiring Rose Wonder set (again--I am going to miss these sentiments).

So many times those unlikely  friendships are the ones that make the most difference in our lives!  Can you think of any times that this is true in your  life?

Look how cute Bella is on the inside too!  I really enjoyed playing with this little cutie!

Make it and Mail it Mondays.

Happy  Monday my friends! Today's card is for an elderly friend of mine who is really struggling with life  in general. So sad how that happens so much to our elderly.  They feel so alone and wonder what life was/is all about. So I thought I would send her this card to remind her that I am thinking of her.

I used the Petal Passion designer paper--it was  so fun and easy to color. The flowers were already shaded so you could literally just  color in one shade and it looks like you are a pro!  Love that.  Isn't it just stunning?

I actually  felt bad covering up the center of it with the sentiment.  Which by the way  is from the Rose Wonder stamp set that is about to retire.  So many great sentiments in that set.  Love this verse.

As with all my Monday Mailer cards--it was a quick and simple card--get  it made and get it out!   That is the whole idea of these cards.  I hope you can find some time to make someone's day by sending them a bit of love in and envelope.

Take Two Tuesday Week 9

Welcome to the ninth week of my Take Two Tuesday series.  I found a card in my stash that uses the old feather set called Four Feathers.  I love the soft colors mixed with the black.  To be honest this week I think I like the old card better.

I wanted to use a retiring set and retiring colors  for my new card.  I was really surprised that the Rose Wonder set is retiring.  If you don't have this beautiful set you might want to try to get it before it sells out.  It has beautiful sentiments and flowers.

So here are the two cards together--

I honestly love the font and the sentiment on the new card.  It is my favorite sentiment from the Rose Wonder set.  This is the first time I have used this flower from the set.  I usually use the Roses.  They are stunning.

Here  is an angled view just because I sometimes think they look better, lol.

I wish I could have gotten one of the 20 or so white gel pens to work I would have added white dots to the flowers too.  They are all pretty old but still pretty full--hate that.  I think there was a trick like putting them in the freezer or something--I will have to google it to be sure.

Springtime Foils Designer Paper--you still have time to earn it for FREE!

One of the amazing free items you can earn from Sale-a-bration with a $50 order is the beautiful Springtime Foils Designer Paper. This paper is amazing--it is thicker than regular card stock and has a shiny finish. And I can not tell you how fun it is to color with our fabulous Blends! It is like therapy for sure!

This particular piece of the card stock is so pretty--lots of big flowers and rose gold foil creating the designs. Our blends work so well on this paper. Add a glass of wine and you are ready for a full night of relaxation! I colored a few pieces and made three easy cards!

I chose to use the beautiful Rose Wonder stamp set with these papers because of the beautiful sentiments I also used the matching Die set.

These are just stunning images and dies. I truly love the sentiments in the stamp set--especially the Isiah scripture I used on my first card--Fear Not--I have a ring that says that to remind me of this very scripture. So encouraging to me at many times in my life. I colored the paper with Calypso Coral and Old Olive blends (old ones--still waiting on the new ones). As you can see I cut out one of the flowers and added it to the top of the oval shape that has the scripture on it. I love it! So simple but it perfectly shows off the beautiful paper and of course that scripture deserves to be a focal image.

The second card I chose to color the background instead of the flowers....

I used one of my favorite color combos-- Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder.  This one has a soft feel and I felt like it fit the sentiment perfectly!  Again I cut out one of the flowers from the paper to pop up on the front of the card by the sentiment.  Crazy how different it looks, don't you think?

The third card I thought I would use two other patterns from the paper.   I only colored the leaves on the one.  I really wanted to emboss the rose image with silver or gold embossing powder but apparently that is not one of the items that I transferred from my old home to the new one yet!  It has been a VERY slow process, lol.  There was just too much stuff!  So I compromised and used the dies with the Wild Wasabi and Whisper White paper--I am happy with the result.

Again, I love the sentiment.  This Rose Wonder set is full of amazing sentiments.

So hopefully I have made you see some of the ideas of what can be done with this awesome paper--there is a never ending supply of ideas for it.  So be sure to get yours for FREE before it is all over--this is a while supplies last item!
