Just for Fun!

I bowl with my mom on Fridays--on a seniors league and it is so much fun.  Well one of the guys had a funny experience earlier this week when they were bowling.  His ball jumped alleys and knocked out pins on the alley two over, lol!  I am so sorry I missed it--would have been a riot!  So I thought I would make a silly card to remind him of it today, lol!  Can't let him live it down too fast.  I  made out side plain and simple....

But did up the inside a bit (he uses a red ball, hence the red ball bouncing around inside)....

All images digital and non-SU.

Hope you have a great day!

A Special Day Today!

Today my great niece is being baptized!  I have not even met her yet, but am excited to see he become one of God's children.  Here is the card I made for her....

I do not have any Stampin Up! stamps for this occasion so I went on a web-search and found this darling digital image at Di's Digital Downloads.  It is such a cute image.  The sentiment is from Crosses of Hope that is a Stamin Up! set.  Going to keep it short and sweet.  I will be back later tonight with my new sketch for the week.  If you have not played along please consider doing so--I think I need one more player to have a top three pick.  Here are the details of the sketch challenge from this week.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Wow, what a nice break I had! I made my own digital stamps!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!  Ours was great, although with all the chaos we never even got a tree up. So on Christmas Eve we put up a Charlie Brown tree in an empty room that we have been doing some work in and that was our tree!  Kind of fun actually.  My son said it really don't matter about the tree mom--it's important that we are together and celebrating Jesus birthday!  How heartwarming that was to hear!  I am excited about the upcoming New Year!  I know it will be better than this year.  Too much sickness and death this year.  Here's to a healthy , happy and prosperous 2012!

I have not stamped in weeks and had time today but couldn't even get motivated to do it.  Even though I have lots and lots of brand new stamp sets.  So I decided to try out my new Bamboo writing tablet and make a few of my own digital stamps.  It is not so easy to draw on these.  I will need to practice a lot but though I would share the first three images I drew and the cards I was then able to make with them.  Nice and simple cards--hard to get back into the swing of things, lol.

I couldn't decide what I wanted to draw so I just started with a Santa!  I tried to make him look like he was sorry about the gift he brought.  Don't ask why, just thought it would be fun for my first try at drawing on this tablet.  Here is the card with the image...

Then I asked my son what I should draw and he said a tiger so this is what I came up with.  Pretty silly but kind of cute...

Then finally I decided to try a penquin how hard can that be--ha ha..

I think they are kind of cute especially since it was the first time ever to use a writing tablet and try to draw.  I will make a few cards with them and who knows maybe I will get better.  My problem is thinking of what to draw--any ideas??

All stamp images are drawn by me--all other supplies are Stampin Up!

Happy today!
It's good to be back!

Blogger's Challenge!

Let me start this post by saying -- DID YOU EVER HAVE ONE OF THOSE DAYS?????

It is only 9:45 and I have already had just about everything that could go wrong go wrong. It is actually becoming quite comical, remember I have a strange sense of humor so that could have something to do with why I am finding it funny. I won't bore you with all the details but I do want to publicly (especially since my hubby don't read my blog--I don't think) admit that HE was right. Ohhhh how I hate that. I have this shelving unit next to my desk that is 5 foot high and it it is one of those wire units. He is always saying---"ya know that thing is gonna fall some day with all the sh*# you pile on there. It gonna knock you right out!" Of course I just smile and nod--yea yea yea. Well guess what happened this morning. Yep you got it. Fell and yep, it hit me when it fell--didn't knock me out though so he is not 100% right, lol. What a mess I have. I was laughing so hard at how many things have gone wrong this morning that I decided to just leave it for a while so I don't hurt myself again cleaning up the mess. So here I am with my blogger's challenge post--with a huge mess all around me.

Today Lisa gave us a sketch--you guys all know I love sketches and since I missed last week I made two for this week!

First is a card made with stamps from Storage Units Ink and More. It is a card that has a ornament that the recipient can take off the card and hang on their tree or where ever. At least I hope that is what they do with it and not throw it away, lol

Here is the card together....

and here is a separate picture of the ornament by itself. Cute huh? I love this retired paper as you can tell, since I used it on both of my cards today.

And my second card is another adorable image from Mo's Digital Pencil. I love mice. I actually have a huge collection of them made from many different things but they have been boxed up for years--I don't know where to put them all. I boxed them up when my son was little to make the house more child friendly and to protect them from getting broken but now that my son is older he has pretty much taken over all the whole house with his stuff and there is no room for my collection. Oh well, back to the adorable card. If I wasn't so stinkin lazy I would make this for all my Christmas cards this year, but there is no way I could color this images that many times, lol.

Isn't he the cutest ever! I just love this card.

Card One
Stamps: tree and sentiment both from SUINK
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Real Red, Night of Navy, retired dp
Ink: Basic Black, Night of Navy

Don't forget to check out what the other girls are doing by clicking on the logo on my sidebar.

Happy today--here's to it can only get better!
