Stampin 411 Challenge 265

As soon as I seen this sketch on the 411 sketch blog, I knew I was finally going to use the new Blue Ribbon stamp set.  The sketch is perfect for it.  And I think it turned out really cute!  Don't you agree? At first I though it might be a bit much but I actually think it is great for the 11 year old boy that I made it for.

The colors are fun.  Pacific Point, Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzlberry and Whisper White.  The designer paper is from the International BAzaar pack.  Other supplies used, white gel pen, scallop border punch, scallop circle punch, markers, banners die and Candle Crazy wheel builder.

Hope your week is going well so far!  Happy today!

So many challenges...so little time!

I have two challenge cards to share with you today.  One is for the 411 sketch challenge and one for Create with Connie and Mary sketch.  Both sketches were really fun this week.  Different and I like that!

The first is the 411 sketch..which by the way I thought I still had time to post since the linky tool is still open--but I see they picked their top three already--sad face, lol. Lesson learned see when the challenge ends and not when the linky closes--I just assumed they were the same--and we all know the saying about what happens when we assume.

My mom asked for some anniversary cards so I am sure you will see a few in the next few days.  This is the first.  Love these colors and this darling stamp set!  Details will be at bottom of post.

Next up is the Create with Connie and Mary sketch another fun one.  I flipped it on its side though and made this super fun birthday card using it.

I love the colors they are just so fun.  What a cute stamp set this one is too!  Here are the details for each card.

Card one.
Stamps: For the Birds, Teeny Tiny Wishes, and an old retired stamps set for the Love Birds sentiment.
Paper: Island Indigo, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White and Twitterpated dp
Ink: Basic Black, Riding Hood Red
Other: pinking hearts border punch, markers

Card two:
Stamps: Animal Talk
Paper: Daffodil Delight,  Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Floral District DP
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry, Baja Breeze
Other: markers, end of pencil eraser for dots.

Hope you have a fabulous weekend.  I am so looking forward to mine.

Couple more challenges!

It feels soooooooooo good to have a little time to stamp and it has been three days in a row.  Good to have my life back, lol.  Stamping truly is the BEST stress reliever in the world I can total loose track of time and just relax and create.  Love it.  Speaking of things I love--have you noticed I have a new favorite color combo thanks to the new Floral District Designer Paper Pack!  Baja Breeze and Rich Razzleberry!  Love it, I am actually needing to buy more Rich Razzleberry and I have not touched that color is a real long time.  It is awesome with the Pumpkin Pie too.  Check it out in the next two samples.

First the 411 sketch for this week--how pretty is this new set Blooming with Kindness.  I knew I loved the flower but was not sure I would like the font of the words--those double fonts sometimes make me think it looks like bad stamping--you know what I mean?  But it is pretty--thanks to Mary Brown--I now own it too!  She is such an enabler--seriously.

Stamps: Blooming with Kindness, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Baja Breeze, Floral District DP, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry
Other: black satin ribbon, banners die, thin black ribbon, markers, blender pen, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder

This next card is for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge--this may be the first time I have played with them???  Not sure but it was a harder sketch so I was looking for a challenge--and I got one, lol!

Lots of new items on this one too.  Can you tell I finally got my "big" order.  Shhhhh, don't tell hubby it was all mine, lol!

Stamps:  A Fitting Occasion, Happy You
Paper Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Floral District DP
Ink: Black
Other: markers, circle punches, large scallop circle punch, Delicate Doillies Sizzlits,  Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Embossing Folder, rhinestones

Geez, that was a lot of typing.  Hope you enjoy your weekend.  Hope to spend some time at the pool today with my son and my kindle!  What more could a woman ask for?!

Yeah!  I got to play two week's in a row!  Feels so get to have crafting time again.  Love it.  Here is the new sketch  if you click on it you will be taken to the 411 blog to see the other samples!

My sample is using the new Labels Collection Framelits Dies.  I cut the shape out with the die and then rotated it 90 degrees and re-cut the shape again.  Then layered it an another full cut piece of a different color.  If this does not make sense you can view the tutorial I did for doing this with the Top Note Die--it is the same theory..Fun with the Top Note Die.

Here is my card for the challenge...

I so love the butterfly embosslit--one of my favorite purchases-each and works with so many things.

Ink: Basic Black, Poppy Parade
Other: markers, Poppy Parade ribbon, Labels Collection Framelits Die, Butterfly embosslit, big pearls, small piece of SAB ribbon on large butterfly.

One more in under the wire!

Geez, I have had the ugliest stomach bug and it has really stripped me of my energy and my mojo!  Till today!  I finally had a second to create today and I had so much fun with this card.  I used the new 411 sketch challenge and combined it with this week's Latenightstamper's challenge to Let it Shine.  Bring on the Bling--you get the idea. So I began by coloring my rhinestones with a marker so they would be red. The rest evolved from there.  Not really sure how much it looks like what I had in mind but I kind of like it any way.  Different.  And the sentiment seemed to fit perfect!  Here is the sketch...

And my card.....

Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Scenic Season, Contempo Christmas
Paper: Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, and scrap dp
Ink: Always Artichoke, Basic Black
Other: rhinestones, markers

Hope you had a great week--stay healthy--don't catch that stomach bug!
Trust me it is HORRIBLE!

Latenightstampers in 411 style

I actually made this card on Saturday, but you had to wait till today to see it.  When I first looked at the sketch on the 411 blog I was a bit stumped but I really think the card turned out cute.  We will be making this on Saturday at my first Christmas Card Class of the year.  Hope they like it.  It has some added bling on the flakes so it also fits the Latenightstamper's challenge on the week to Let It SHINE!

This is another retired snowman.  Can't forget about the old guys, lol.  The image is from the Snow Much Fun set.  He fit perfect and I just think he is the cutest!

Stamps: Snow Much Fun, Petite Pairs
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Baja Breeze

411 and Latenightstamper's combo!

For today's card I combined the 411 sketch challenge with the Latenightstamper's 1-2-3 challenge. The one, two, three challenge is to create a card with one stamp set, two embellishments and three colors! (neutrals don't count unless they are one of your three colors)

As you see I used that favorite color combo again, I really find this combo so soothing.  The ribbon is colored with my stamp pad and the flower is cut from the designer paper.
Here is the 411 sketch...
Supplies used on card:
Stamps: All Holidays
Paper: Early Espresso, Pool Party, More Mustard, dp
Ink: Early Espresso, Pool Party
Other: ribbon, brad

Happy today!

I just love fall colors!

This is the color combo of the season.  I am loving it aren't you?  The layout for this card is from this week's 411 sketch challenge.  I changed it a bit to not be a square but otherwise pretty much the same.  It also fits our Latenightstamper's challenge to create fall themed cards!

Stamps: Gently Falling,
Paper: More Mustard, Pool Party, Whisper White
Ink: More Mustard, Pool Party, Early Espresso
Other: ribbon, twine, nestabilities die

Love the white showing, don't see enough of that on my cards, lol!  Hope you have a fabulous day!  I am counting down to our Woman's retreat this weekend! Can't wait!

My first two cards for this challenge are combined with sketch challenges. First one is using the 411 sketch for this week...

Whoops never did post this....

And I am sure I know why. It was subconscious since I really do not like the card. I did this for the 411 sketch challenge for this week. I am not sure what my problem was but I could not get this set and that sketch to work, lol! But none the less, I am posting it anyway--seems someone always LOVES the cards I don't, lol! I think I over did it with all the elements. This is also for the Latenightstampers challenge to make a Mother's Day card or project.

Yea, just seems like there is too much going on--what do you think?

Stamps:  Messages for Mom
Paper: Concord Crush, Blushing Bride, Whisper White, in color dp

Staring Father--It's that time of year again.

Both of these cards are using the same papers and the same stamps but they really look different don't you think?  I am trying to used retired and retiring stuff I have soooooo much.  And with Father's Day this close I thought I might as well focus on that.

This first card is using the 411 sketch for today

Stamps: Staring You, Teeny Tiny Wishes and a SUINK stamp set for the Dad's Rule
Paper: Barely Banana, Whisper White, Not Quite Navy, Blue Bayou
Ink: Not Quite Navy

This second one is a super simple one but I think it is perfect for a Father--just their style, not too much "stuff"

3 down, 1000's to go!

Ever feel like you will NEVER get caught up!  Yea, me too.  I am trying to get caught up on some challenges I have been wanting to get to but can's seem to get enough time.  Why or why do we have to do silly things like cook, clean, laundry--you know what I am getting at!  Our days should be filled with stamping and nothing more--except for spending time with my son--he can stamp with me, lol!

Anyway, I was able to get three challenges done!

The sketch challenge on Stampin Connection
and
The Stampin Connection Technique Challenge--emboss resist.

This first one is for the 411 sketch....

Stamps: Close as a Memory
Paper: Orchid Opulence, Pale Plum, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Razzleberry Lemonade
Ink: Basic Black
Other: markers, ribbon, sponges

This next card is a combo of the sketch and technique challenges on Stampin Connection (US demo only site)

Stamps: Whimsical Words, Medallion
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip, Glossy White
Ink: VersaMark, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink
Other: Sweet Pea felt, oval punch, scallop oval punch, white embossing powder, embossing gun, brad, ribbons, sponges, white gel pen

Maybe I will get a few more done tomorrow?? Who knows my son is waiting for me again.

411 and a blast from the past!

I am not going to miss the 411 sketch this week, lol!  Last week I just missed it.  Seems like it is just so hard to get back on track after being sick for a while.  Anyway this week's sketch on the 411 blog was a super easy one--maybe.  These are actually the type that usually give me a problem--imagine that!  Since the focal spot was quite big I decided to create another little scene with these adorable little guys from the occasions mini set Picnic Parade.

I love the squirrel in the tree!  Fun set to play with.
Stamps: Picnic Parade, Season of Friendship
Paper: Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink: Old Olive, Basic Black, Chocolate Chip
Other: markers, sponges, embossing plate

This next sample is a real blast from the past!  I don't even know the name of this set.  Many many years ago it was given to me as a sort of RAK from another stamper online.  She even has the images mounted in full squares--not trimmed and it was never used.  That was a long time ago and for some reason I never used it either although I love it.  So I thought it was about time!  Makes a really cute card for a young girl, don't you think.  If you know the name of this set I would love to know.

Designer papers and ribbon are non Stampin Up.   The Crushed Curry, Pixie Pink and Whisper White are Stampin Up, along with the corner punch and retired rub-ons.

Thanks for stopping by today--hope you are having a wonderful week.
