Having fun in the Lounge--

It has been a while since I played with my Craft Lounge stamps.  I only own three sets but I really do love them.  I was surfing for a new sketch challenge last night and seen this one so thought it would be fun to pull these stamps out and play.

I actually pulled out two different sets and made two cards for the challenge.

One of my favorite things about using non-Stampin Up stamps is that I can use up some of these retired papers and and non-Stampin Up embellishments.  Hate to see them sit there all lonely!

I'm Nuts About You! and My New Assignment too!

I have been wanting to do the challenges over at Our Creative Corner for so long now but for some reason I keep forgetting about them. So I left myself a note to check it out this week! I hope to join in on these a lot more often this year. The first challenge of the year for them was a sketch challenge. Here is the sketch.

And of course my card. I am still playing with my stamps from Our Craft Lounge. This is the Dr. Pea-Nut set. He is too cute don't you think? The card looks much cuter IRL. It looks kind of plain in the picture but I didn't and still don't think it is when I look at the REAL card. Funny how that works sometimes???

Stamps: Dr. Pea Nut (Our Craft Lounge)
Paper: Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White and a cut piece of a pre made Valentine.
Ink: Basic Black
Other: colored pencils, gamsol, copics, circle punches, scallop circle punch, misc ribbon

---------My New Assignment----------Lots of Stampin Up cards coming soon-------------

And now for all you Stampin Up! lovers out there, you are probably wondering if I sold all my Stampin Up stamps, lol! Well rest easy I did not and I still love them but have been having so much fun with all my other stamps too! There are so many great stamps available. The good news is that I was just hired as a as a "Creative Deisnger" for the month of January by Sherrill Graff! She is paying me to create cards for her using ALL Stampin Up! products. So during the month following our new catalog release you will see at least 50 or more cards using ALL Stampin Up stuff! So be ready. The best part is there there are others that were hired with me so they will all be posting the same amounts of Stampin Up cards for your viewing/casing pleasure! Here are the other talented Stampin Up! demonstrators that I will be priviliged enough to be working with. Be sure to check out their blogs-- they ROCK!

Bubs the Beaver wants to be your Valentine!

I have not been over on the Craft Planet since I got sick so I thought I better check in. Today is sketch challenge day and here is the sketch.

I knew I wanted to use another one of my new Our Craft Lounge stamps so I quick grabbed Bubs the Beaver and got to creating. Isn't he just the cutest little guy you ever seen. I just adore him. I am having so much fun with these stamps! You will have to click on the picture to see the details. Such a fun layout.

More for the Love of Birds.

Today's inspiration challenge on Splitcoaststampers was a fun one. We could choose any item from MacKenzie-Childs for inspiration I chose to use this picture for my inspiration. I was inspired by the checks, stripes and flowers together. Also the uneven tones of the colors from the paint. So fun.

Here is my card.

I just bought this pad of paper yesterday and love the colors. And I have been itching to get back to some of these stamps from Our Craft Lodge. I really like how this turned out. What do you think?

One more from the Lounge today.

I was about to go out the door to visit a sick friend but thought I would check the Ways to Use it challenge today on SCS before I left. You know so I could think about what I was going to do since I have not done many of the SCS challenges lately. And to my surprise it was to make a FAST and SIMPLE gift! Hmmmm, it would be nice to bring my friend a gift, and it does say FAST so maybe I can do it before I go! Yes, I can. And I get to use another set from Our Craft Lounge while I am at it. This time I am using the Pea-Nut set. I am thrilled with how this turned out in 17 minutes start to finish! It is taking me longer to post, lol.

Isn't he the cutest ever! I know my friend will just adore him.

Paper: Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Regal Rose, Whisper White SAB dp

Now I really have to get my butt to her house--see ya soon.

Spent the moring in the Lounge with the Birds!

That's right, I spent my morning working with some new rubber! Cambria from Our Craft Lounge e-mailed me last week to see if I wanted to do a little design work for them! WHAT?!! Of course I do you silly girl! I have been drooling over these images but too broke to make a move, lol! Well Merry Christmas to me, I get to play with this fabulous set called For the Love of Birds. This is not my normal type of set but I thought it could be fun to work with, and it is. But first let me take a minute to let you know a bit about the stamps. They come in either cling foam rubber (which I love) or clear. And they come on these thick sheets that have holes on the side to put right into a binder! That is so cool! They even have the images colored on the one side of the sheet for ideas, got to love that! So anyway, I made two cards this morning with this set and I am sure there will be more coming soon. The first card is a bit of an unusual baby card. Not the ordinary card but a card not only celebrating the baby but also the love that is shared by both parents during this wonderful time. I used a Christmas saying from Stampin Up! inside because it seemed to fit perfect. What do you think?

This was such a fun card to create. So many little images to play with. And so easy to color too.

This next card is using some of the same images. I was thinking SPRING when I made this one. Hence the colors. Can you believe I still have scraps of this paper from SAB over two years ago! I love these colors together.
