Ruff Day!

Seriously--today was a sad day in our house--we lost a dear friend that we have had for close to 13 years and it was/is horrible.  Lots of crying and sadness--we did get a big smile when looking at some of our scrapbook pages and pictures of Uppie.  Here is one of my favorite....

This is a old picture but it is such a cute one.  We will miss you Uppie-you were a great pet!  Although we still have a small zoo in our home with other pets the we are sure feeling a void.

Digital Scrapbook Page

For the challenge on Sudsol this week!  It was such a simple sketch I had to make a quick page.  That is what is so great about the MDS program, you can make a page in just 15-20 minutes and be all cleaned up at the touch of a button!  Wish all my cleaning was this easy!

Quick and easy.  I don't get many pictures of my men dressed up, lol.  They are the type who love to be dirty--working on cars, riding or fixing things--always into something and generally not into dress clothes!

ABC challenge on LNS!

It is the last few days of school, the count down--being active in the PTO means that this last few days are CRAZY!!!  But fun.  I have not had much time to do any crafting but you know I have to make something for the LNS challenge, after all I am the co-DT coordinator.

If don't have this program you should really consider it.  It is so fun and you can create without making a mess and bring out all your supplies!  NICE!

We will be working the Lawn Fete at the church that sponsors our Scouts--so may not have much crafting time at all---but...

Baby it's Cold Out There!!

The theme for this week's challenge on Latenightstampers is Baby it Cold!  Things that make you say BRRRR!  So I decided to make this scrapbook page.  We spent an afternoon outdoors ice skating and I think it might have been one of the coldest days this year--go figure.  Of course the boys were TOO COOL TO BE COLD!  I combined the theme challenge with a sketch challenge on Soul Scrappers.


The layout is done entirely on My Digital Studio using only Stampin Up digital images.

I'm cold just remembering how cold it was, lol!

Pages From Our Washington Trip!

My son and I created this for two different reasons.  We made calendars with it for my Mom and Sister who when with us and helped pay Woody's way.  And secondly Woody used it for his school project, hence the did you know and Woody's first thoughts.  There are 13 pages so be ready for a long post, lol!

I hope you can click on the images to make them larger and to be able to read, we know that we should have at least one fact you didn't know.  If you are like me they will all be new, lol!  I really am enjoying My Digital Studio and digital scrapbooking.  Didn't think I would.

What happended to Friday??

Late for my blogger's challenge.  This week Lisa wanted us to do a Halloween theme.  These pictures are about 4 years old.  Can't find a date so I am guessing.  Don't that stink!  I so remember they "photo shoot" though.  Woody wanted to try out ever piece of his military costume.  How fun!

This really was a fun layout to do.  All supplies are Stampin up, although many are retired.  Got to run, have a morning workshop and need to shower.  Have a great weekend!  If you have some free time check out what the other players did with the challenge by clicking the logo on my sidebar.

Digital Scrapbooking with My Digital Studio!

I joined a new group today that does challenges for scrapbooking.  I am determined to do more both regular and digital.  So I have done two challenges so far.  I will share one today and one tomorrow.  By the way the group is called Soul Scrappers.  The first challenge I did was a color challenge.  The colors were So Saffron, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black and Basic Gray.  I actually did a two page layout of my son's first day of school pictures.

Playing with my MDS.

I love how this page turned out.  I used the inspiration challenge from Latenightstampers for the colors and layout.  Of course the ONLY supplies used were My Digital Studio!  Fast fun and oh so EASY--and no mess to clean up afterwards.

I wish there was more time in a day.  You may see lots more of the MDS from me over the next few days as I fell coming out of a Women's meeting at a local church last night and I can barely walk, my ankle is messed up.  But I am hoping I can "walk" it off, or drag it off, limp it off, which ever works.  I have toooooooo much to do to be in one spot!

Fall Fun Progressive Scrapbook Page

One more for this week's Latenightstampers Fall Scrapbook Page Challenge. I have not done one of these progressive pages in a long time. These are what us demos like to use when scrapbooking at workshops. We all make a 6 x 6 but I show how to turn it into a 8.5 x 11 or even a 12 x 12 layout. I really enjoy the challenge of making all three layouts look good. What do you think?

Catching Up! Or at least trying to, lol!

This week's challenge on Latenight Stampers is to create a fall scrapbook page and the challenge on Our Creative Corner is to use the new in-colors--I know these can be combined easily because the new in colors, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede and Dusty Durango scream Fall to me. So here is my sample for both challenges. Oh yea, I also used a sketch challenge from SCS from a few weeks ago you can find that HERE.

It is so hard to get good pictures of 12 by 12 scrapbook pages don't you think? Do you have any suggestions to help me in the future? I would love some ideas if you have them.

All supplies are current SU except for the use of my Gazelle cutter for the titles. I do not own any current SU alphabets and part of the Latenightstampers rules are 100% current product from Stampin Up this is the best I could do.

It took me forever to find pictures that were fall themed and did not need to be printed from my computer. I am low on some colors and I didn't think I would get the best quality if I printed them so I had to dig through lots of old pictures--before my digital days. What fun that was, I love looking at old photos of my son and remembering how small he was and how much fun we have together. So these pictures are from 2002 my son is only 2 at the time.

Whachadoin' Wednesday? Challenge 50

This week's challenge is a inspiration challenge. What is an inspiration challenge you ask? Simply put--we post a picture and you create a card/project using the posted item as the inspiration or jumping off point. I chose to make a 12 by 12 scrapbook page of my parents wedding picture. I love the old wedding pictures, they are so pretty and formal. I was very inspired by the colors and the flowers. Hope you are inspired too!

Blogger's Challenge with Latenight Stamper Challenges

Here I go again with the combining challenges. I am late on the Blogger's Challenge (Fridays) which was a sketch challenge this week so I combined it with the Latenight Stamper's weekly challenge to create three cards with one retiring set and three different themes and the Monthly DT challenge on Latenightstampers to create a summer scrapbook page which uses the sketch from SCS. I love being able to catch up on more than one at a time! All of my samples are current SU and they all use the retiring Big Deal Alphabet.

The first one is the blogger's challenge sketch card. Fun sketch Lisa gave us today.

Honey, where are my shoes?

I have no idea babe, maybe you better just get a new pair! Alright so I stole my hubby shoes for this project, lol! He never wears them anyway, he don't even like flip flops.

Summer Fun 2009!

I used my new Gazelle to cut the pages with the words on the sides. And my bind it all to put it all together. All stamps are from Storage Units Ink and More.


Hope you enjoy, I know my son and hubby will. It is for them and it is a few of the things my son wants to do with daddy this summer so hence no pictures, it is yet to happen, lol.

Our Wedding--a simple layout

The Latenightstamper's group weekly challenge is to use embossing--any type of embossing. And the monthly DT challenge is to make scrapbook pages so, you guessed it, I combined the two. I used both dry embossing with the embossing plates and heat embossing on the little white elements. Other than that this is an extremely simple layout but I really like it. The sentiments say it all. It was 12 years ago that I married my husband and we have been through alot together--good and bad, but we have kept it together because of the promise made.

I am so enjoying scrapbooking again! I didn't realize how much I missed it.

The Boss is in the house!

I got a new toy today! I am so excited. Unfortunately I only had a little time to play but I can already tell I love it. It is the Boss Kut Gazelle and it is the coolest ever! I have wanted one of these for quite a while but they never seemed to do all that I wanted them to--but this one does! It even cuts chipboard and you can draw your own images, scan images etc. I don't really know all the ins and outs yet but I know enough to know it is fabulous. The Pacific point swirls and frame are cut with it along with the words. I used the word window punch so that it would fit the scrapbook challenge on SCS to use strip journaling. It is an old picute of my son when he was only 2--I am soooooooo far behind on scrapbooking, lol!

More Scrapbook pages

It feels so good to be scrapbooking again. This is a traditional 12 by 12 layout using 100% current Stampin Up! The pictures are of our oldest dog. We got him when my son was only about 8 months old and he named him Uppie--since he could not say puppie. They have been best friend ever since. Although he does play with the bigger dog a bit more because he is younger and more energetic I think that Uppie will always be his favorite.

This was my first SCS Scrapbook Challenge, didn't even know they had them, lol.

One more with the LNS color challenge! Woody Rocks!

Remember those last few scrapbook pages I made and the fact that I was whinning that I did not want to send them to anyone but really wanted to keep them. Well, I sent them on their way, like it or not--it was a commitment. But the good news is I am determine to do more so here is my first one to KEEP! My son just started baseball this year, although he is nine he has never had an interest before and could not even catch when practices began but he is really doing well. I am so happy for him and truly love to watch his games.

Again this is for the color challenge on Latenightstampers. The colors are Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip, Kraft and Old Olive.
