Sneak peek of New Tutorial to be released tomorrow!

Here is a sneak peek of my brand new tutorial. It will be available for purchase Monday night February 7th   I will not be on the computer much for the rest of the evening or tomorrow during the day so I am delaying the release until night so I can get it to you in a timely fashion. You are going to love this one.  It is fun and easy and comes with a printable pdf for all card inserts.

Leave a comment on this post to win your choice of tutorials for FREE!  Details at end of post.

Bunny Pants Box with matching cards Tutorial

I am so excited about this one because of a few reasons.

  1. It only uses left over parts from the Ice Cream Parlor kit that were left over after making my One Sheet Wonder cards from my earlier tutorial using the Ice Cream Parlor kit.  So you can get both from the same kit and still have left overs!
  2. It can be used for many different occasions, such a Christmas -Santa Pants, Halloween - Scarecrow pants, St. Patrick's Day - Leprechaun Pants - the possibilities are just endless!
  3. Even thought it was designed to hold cards it can hold many other items too--candy, candles, gifts, ect.  Again the possibilities are endless!
  4. It is still only $2 and that means that everyone can get one.  You won't feel like it is hurting your budget!  More money to spend on supplies.
And last but not least I am going to be giving away 2 copies for FREE!  Leave a comment on this post before Wednesday night 11PM EST and you may be the lucky winner of this or your choice of any of my tutorials for FREE!

AVAILABLE NOW ONLY $2

Your card is so cute!! Well, I played along with the wrong sketch, oops! I had the older, similar one in my head. So, don't know if you'll count it for the blog candy, oh well! But wanted to let you know I played! :-D

June 26, 2009 2:47 PM

Libby your card was perfect, the two sketches were so much alike it does not matter. Thanks for playing and congratulations. I am not sure if you won by playing, commenting or sharing but I know that my son picked your name from the pile. I added everyone name for each thing and then he pick--since you did all three you had three chances. e-mail me your address so I can get these stamps to you.

You make me smile! And the winner of the Will You Be My Valentine Set!

Today's color challenge on SCS was a great one! Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze and Kraft. This was a really fast card using this weeks sketch again. I changed the triangles to tags this time. I love these colors together!

Stamps: In the spotlight
Paper: Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Whisper White and Kraft
Ink: Not Quite Navy
Accessories: circle punches, tag punch, ribbon, cuttlebug Martha Stewart markers

And now for the winner of the stamp set! I printed out the names- cut them out and then picked from a bucket. The winner was......

What darling cards! I love the little tags on the second one and the first one is one of my fav color combos! So sweet!

I have a hanging file system that I use for scraps smaller than a half sheet. Any time I cut something, whether it be patterned paper or plain CS, it goes into one of the 50 files labelled with tabs showing SU colors. I chose the closest color (or main color if it is DP) and into the file it goes. Before I can cut a new piece of paper, I look in the file to see what is there. The file folders are on a roller cart, so it makes it handy!

Joy, congratulations, please get me your snail mail address so this can be shipped out! Can't wait to see what you create with it.

Thanks to everyone for all the great tips.

Blogger's Challenge 81 and a GIVE AWAY too!

The Blogger's Challenge for this week was to use designer paper! I was so excited what a great way to use up some of that mountain of scrap pieces I have. So that is exactly what I did. I also wanted to remind you of the two new stamps sets that are available now from Storage Units Ink and More, they are the cutest yet! So I decided that I would show you some samples of the first set called Sweet Things and then give a way the other set called Will You Be My Valentine! Be sure to check the end of this post for how you can win it.

Both of my cards for the challenge are using the darling images in the Sweet Things set. And various pieces of dp from my scrap stash. I adore pink and brown togeter hence the color choices on number one.

And then of course I love bright and fun cards so I went with a much brighter color scheme on this one. Good to use up some of these scraps--I could have made 100 cards and still have more left over!

Techno Take-Out Giveaway!

Here is it FINALLY! Sorry for the delay in posting this. And the delay in doing a Techno Take-Out. I missed a lot of opportunities to do it -- like 100,000 hits and other things too but it is a good one so it should make up for it, lol! If you visit my blog much you are quite aware of my love for our Lord and you are also aware of this new stamp company that I am so happy to support. Kelley at Our Daily Bread Designs is not only bringing us some beautiful Christian stamps to uplift our loved ones with but she has wonderful customer service too! There are only three sets in her line so far and I own ALL THREE! I will get some more samples made up for you but in the mean time be sure to take a look at her site and the design team samples -- they ROCK!

So good news for you -- there was a slight mix up in my last order and I accidentally received two of this set. And Kelley said to just keep it -- now I know I could have given it to a friend or I guess I could have even sold it but I thought she was so sweet to tell me to keep it that I should share with one of you lucky readers! I hope that you will all check out her site and support her in her new endeavor. The stamps are high quality and greatly priced! Here is the set that you can win.....

All you have to do to win is comment on this post telling me how you are celebrating Mother's day this year by Sunday May 4th at midnight (EST). I will post the winner before the next Monday Lunchtime sketch challenge!

Remember to check back to see if you won!

Techno-Takeout Winner!

Is this cake not the best looking cake you ever seen. It actually made me cry. See we really don't ever do anything to celebrate my birthday so I was so excited to see this beautiful cake that my 8 year old son made by himself. I was not allowed in the kitchen except to put the cake in the oven and take it out of the oven. He did such a fabulous job and even put my age on there -- hence the guessing game for this Techno Take-Out. I knew I had to share this cake with you guys so figured I might as well make a game of it.

Since no one guess right I just picked a number with the random number generator and this is the winner....number 14.......

stampin_melissa said...

Well, my guess is going to be close to my own age, I say 42??

You were so close too. Congratulations Melissa!

Congratulations on your blog milestone. My favorite technique is basically altering! I love to alter anything and everything I can get my hands on! When I'm shopping (or visiting my mom) I keep my eyes peeled for items I can alter. My one requirement is that they must be useful items!

Great blog give away!

Teresa

September 23, 2007 1:21 PM

Funny how that worked out that altering is her favorite technique, send me your snail mail address and I will get your prizes out to you. Sorry no designer paper, only 109 comments - maybe we will hit goal next time. Thanks to everyone for the great comments. I will be checking out a few techniques I did not know about!

TECHNO TAKE-OUT (blog candy) with a bonus for 150 comments

Well, while I was fooling around with classes last night my counter hit 10,000 hits! I am amazed at this since I just gave away something for 5,000. Thanks to all of you who visit my blog and a super special thanks to all that leave me comment. There are many of you who send me private e-mails in stead of posting your comments on the blog and that is fine! It makes a girl feel good to hear that someone enjoys her work. As I have said in previous posts not only do I love to give stuff away, but I generally buy too much of everything that I buy, lol. Well, I now have a solution for this. I am giving away 10 alterable items. One for each thousand hits! And as a special bonus I will add a customer direct order for the winner's choice of designer paper frompages 171-173 of our current Stampin Up! catalog if I get over 150 comments. So tell you friends to come over and check it out. You only need to leave a comment letting me know what your favorite technique is and maybe a link or short description if needed. For those of you that don't know the Techno in my blog name is really short for Techniques because I love them.

List of items in give away.
1. Clipboard
2. A 3 and 1/2 by 3 and 1/2 solid wood block.
3 and 4. Two mini tins that I used to create those magnets in this post.
5. A mini rectangle tin.
6. A mini Paper Mache Circle Box.
7. A package of two large clothes pins from Creative Imaginations.
8. A jumbo chipboard flower from Making Memories
9. A plain white pencil box.
10 A Mead composition book

BONUS: your choice of designer paper from the current SU catalog pages 170-173 delivered directly to you from SU. This is only added if I get over 150 comments. Please only comment once. But do send over all your friends so we can get over the 150 mark. I will leave this open untill Friday 28th at 11:59pm EST. Thanks.

It time to give away that subscription.

I had so much fun with this. You guys are very creative - some of the responses got a full blow laugh, some a giggle, some a flat out NO and then a few that made me think " I remember that" thanks for all the suggestions. After some thought I went back to one of the early posts because it just fit. So without any further gibber gabber (as my 7 year old calls it) ........................

I have chosen to use this as my blog candy name.

Blog Candy Giveaway for 5,000 hits!

Wow that was pretty fast. I am so excited to start doing Blog Candy giveaways -- I love giving things away--but what I don't love is the name Blog Candy. So, I am enlisting your help in a fun and creative name for my giveaways. In return for the chosen name I will give you a one year subscription to Paper Crafts magazine. I need to re-new my subscription so I may as well do one for you too! The form is sitting here on my desk waiting for the name of the person who will receive one free year from me. (if you already subscribe they will extend your subscription).

Here are the details: All you have to do is comment on this post with a fun name for my blog candy. Be sure to have your name on the comment so I can let you know if you win. You can leave as many posts as you like as long as you have a different idea for a name on each. I will leave this open until Sunday, September 9th at 11:59 pm EST. I will be sure to pick one of your ideas and post a winner by Monday afternoon. So, as I tell the kids--"put your thinking caps on". Good luck to all.

And the winner is..........................................

Happy Labor Day to all of you! I sure hope you have some quality time to spend with those you love and of course a little time to stamp too.

So on to the challenge winner. I only had five people actually do the challenge and create something with the MJ's surprise technique and since I am a gambler at heart, I decided to roll a die at Random.org. Guess I am not too lucky since the first roll was a six -- image that! The next roll was a 5. So I counted down to the fifth comment that had the correct submission and got this--

Heidi Michel said...

Ok.... mine is on my blog now..... Finally. We just got back from the hospital. I have the flu but am a die hard stamper!!! LOL

I guess it pays to stamp when you are sick! Thanks for playing and send me your order at yourrep@adelphia.net so I can get it to you. Seems that Heidi just signed on to be a demo too! Welcome to the family!

Give away reminder.

What? No one is interested in winning a $25 gift certificate to use on Stampin Up! stuff! Or are you all busy stamping and creating? I hope so, I would "hate" to have to spend it myself. Hmmm, maybe I don't want any posts after all. Tee Hee.

Click here for the details. (I have no idea how to keep it at the top--still learning.)

Wednesday, August 29, 2007

My first GIVE AWAY!

How would you like to win a $25 gift certificate from Stampin Up! (aka -- me)? We can all use more supplies, especially stamps so I will let you spend it as you choose. Want to know how to win? (Of course you do.) Here is what you need to do.

1. Create a card using the new technique that I posted yesterday.
2. Post a comment on this post telling me where I can see your sample.
3. Cross your fingers and hope that you are chosen from the random number website.

You will have until Sunday, September 2nd at 12am EST to post your comment and card. I will pick a winner and let you know on Monday morning. Good luck and have fun.
