Falling for The Newborn King.

As a christian I always need to buy the current stamp sets for Christmas that have a christian theme to them and this is so fun and whimsical so I knew I would have to have it--but those of you who know me know that I do not like to use stamps for ONLY ONE purpose so I am using this set for my Latenightstamper's Challenge this month! Yep, I said month--our new challenges will run for a full month and you will have a general theme so you will have no excuse for not playing along. lol.  The October challenge will be to create a sample that fits a Fall, Harvest or Halloween Theme!  Fun right?

So what do you think?  Does it work for fall too???

Stamps:  The Newborn King, For All Things, Fall Fest
Paper: Color Me Autumn DP, Crushed Curry, Whisper White and Soft Suede
Ink: Basic Brown
Other: blendabilities, circle die, Fun Fall Framelits, small flag punch, candy dots

Come on over to the Latenightstamper's Blog to play along with us.

So glad to see you three days in a row!

Whoops, second post today--LNS challenge.

Almost did it again, I keep forgetting about posting my card on Wednesday for the LNS challenge.  The two week challenge for this time is to use your dies or framelits.  I must say I do that on most of my cards so it was a really easy one!  I decided to go with an nontraditional Valentine! Those of you who visit my blog often know I love to be different and Valentines is no exception.  I love these colors on this card, really fun to use the Oh, Happy Day for a Valentine card too--the unexpected!

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do--we did this at my class tonight.  Along with a few other fun ones I will be posting in the next few days.

Used lots of sets for this card:
Stamps: Perfect Pennants, Banner Blast, Starburst Sayings
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Baked Brown Sugar, Very Vanilla, Really Retro DP
Ink: Coastal Cabana, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango, Baked Brown Sugar
Other: Starburst Framelits, Hearts Framelits, rhinestone

LNS challenge--New beginnings!

A new year and lots of new things--that is what we are celebrating on LNS this week!  Our challenge for the next two weeks is to create a project that celebrates something new--new relationship, new home, new baby--you get it.   Here is my sample for today--it uses the brand new set--Baby We've Grown.

I also used the new paper pack called High Tide.  Cute papers--although some of the patterns I would never use--the opposite sides of those prints are darling!  The colors are Summer Starfruit, Pacific Point, Soft Sky and Whisper White.  I tied a really thin piece of Pacific Point paper on the button.  Didn't have any ribbon that matched.

Don't forget about my newest tutorials

Love Bug

I was looking through some old posts to get ready for my month by month top three card re-cap that I did each year and seen this cute but and though it was worth a re-post. Although the sentiment stamps are retired you could substitute or use MDS! The bug is just too cute not to share again! Who says bugs aren't cute?! This one sure is. What fun I had making him too. I needed a card that could be for any age and and any gender. Although it might be on the young side it is so cute I think it could be used for anyone--what do you think? Any way do  you want to know how I made it?  Here you go.....

These are the Stampin Up! Punches I used..

And this give you some details about what each piece is used for..

I used thin strips of Basic Black for the antennas.  I just rolled them around the end of a paint brush and then added two small hearts to each end.

Stamps Sets Used:  Just Buzzin By, Love Defined and Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Pacific Point,  Basic Black, Whisper White, Riding Hood Red,
Ink: Real Red
Other: markers, end of pencil for rosy cheeks that don't really show up too well in the picture. Paint brush end to twirl antenna. Word Window Modern Label Punch

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 293 (TSSC293)

So glad you stopped by today to check out my new sketch challenge!  It is a fun one and I know you are going to be inspired to play along after seeing some of the fabulous sample from the team!  Here is the sketch.....

And my sample which will also be for the LNS challenge to make a card that is not plain jane but has at least three layers, two embelishments and only takes 15 minutes or less to make. So meeting all of that and following the sketch this is what I came up with....

Believe it or not I am still in need a few more Christmas cards--I have been sorely disappointing in the lack of Christian Christmas stamps from Stampin Up this year so I chose this one from a few years ago to use on my card. (Sounding Joy)   The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Brushed Gold and Whisper White.  And now for the rest of the teams samples....

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 291 (TSSC291)

Welcome to my weekly sketch challenge!  I am so happy you stopped by today and hope you find time to play along.  It is hard to believe we are already in December--seems like I just got used to writing 2013 on things and we are really close to 2014-- CRAZY!  Good thing some things stay the same--like my weekly sketch challenge and all the talented design team and players!  So thankful for all of you.  Here is this week's sketch....

A nice simple one--I chose to make mine a 4 1/4" square card. I love making this size and love to make matching envelopes from our regular envelopes--don't know how--see my tutorial here!

I so love this cute little snowman--actually I love any snowman but this one is particularly cute!  The base of the card is Island Indigo and is 4 1/4 by 4 1/4--on top of that I have attached a 4 by 4 card made with 8" by 4" Whisper White.  So only the white part opens and the base stays attached to the back of the white.  Just a bit different for a change of pace.  The snowman is from the Snow Day stamp set and the greeting is from the Greetings of the Season Stamp set.  Now lets take a look at what the fabulous design team has done with the sketch.....

So fun!  I am always amazed at their talent!  Awesome samples.  Now it is your turn to play along and here are some basic rules of play.....
