Try Stamping on Tuesday x2

Hello and welcome.  So glad you stopped by today.  It is Tuesday so that means we are playing along with the Try Stamping on Tuesday challenge blog! We have a fun sketch for this week!  I actually made two cards for my samples.  Here is the sketch....

My first sample is a soft and pretty card using the Blooming Marvelous stamp set from Salebratons.  Didn't think I even wanted this one, but it is so fun and EASY to work with.  So glad I got it.

Stamps: Blooming Marvelous, Basic Label Single Stamp
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Tea for Two DP
Ink: Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Chocolate Chip
Other: modern label punch, framelit, small butterfly punch

And my second card.  I wanted to try out the chalkboard technique that we used to do so long ago.  I always struggled with this technique as I don't think the really neat samples look like chalkboard--but than the samples like mine that I think look like a real chalkboard with the crooked lines and all don't look so neat, lol!  Funny how that is--I don't like the one because it is too neat and don't like the other because it is not neat!  Go figure--typical don't you think?

Stamps: non stamping up--whole10 stamp set cost $1 on sale!
Paper: Real Red, Basic Black, More Amore Speciality Paper
Ink: white, versamark
Other: embossing powder, sponges, white gel pen.

Hope you have a great day!  Looks so beautiful outside here today as the sun is shinning!
Only 20 degrees but SUNSHINY!!!!!

When Pigs Fly....

that is when I will stop loving you!

I have been wanting to make a card with this cute pig and the wings for so long--today's sketch challenge on Splitcoaststampers was perfect for it...

Probably one of the easiest cards I have ever made, the dp form the Sycamore Street pack along with the clouds embossing folder make the back ground so easy--then just a bit of typing on MDS quick stamp and cut and there you have it--You Know What They Say!

Stamps: Button Buddies, Affection Collection
Paper: Island Indigo, Whisper White, Sycamore Street DP
Ink: Primrose Petals, Island Indigo
Other: embossing folder with clouds, marker, button, glitter on wings (very light), MDS

Hope you enjoyed today's fast post.
Lots to do with my son home from school for winter break.
See You Soon!

Masking and Sponging

I am combining three challenges today--first Splitcoaststamper';s F4A154--make a cute Valentine with a heart-- the Stampin Up  Only challenge to create a clean and simple Valentine card and the second is the Blogger's Challenge--remember this!  I have not played along in so long although I always mean to--so today I am!  The challenge over there is to create your own background.  That sounded too fun to pass up.  So I pulled out the new SAB set Madison Avenue and used the leaf type elements with some masking and sponging to come up with this....

Can  anyone me what I am going to do when the colors Pool Party and Island Indigo retire!  My goodness I use them on almost every card lately! I just love this combo.

Stamps: Madison Avenue, PS I love you (retired)
Paper: Island Indigo, Pool Party, Whisper White
Ink: Pool Party, Island Indigo
Other: ribbon, printer paper for masking, sponges, marker for edging, Heart Framelits

Hope you have a fabulous weekend--by the way why not play along with my sketch challenge over the weekend--only three players so far (insert sad face) I need more!  Click HERE to play along.

Try Stamping on Tuesday

Here we are again--another Tuesday, another great sketch.  Hope you can join us this week! You can view the original post and all the fabulous DT samples by visiting the home page

Try Stamping on Tuesday

Here is this week's sketch....

And of course my sample...

I had some fun playing with the different heart framelits.  Isn't it cute.  I love the big heart in the background--kind of hard to see as it almost blends in.  I didn't put a Valentine sentiment on here because I wanted to be able to use it anytime just to let someone special know I love them!

Stamps: Itty Bitty Banners, Hearts a Flutter
Paper: Real Red, Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Primrose Petals
Ink: Real Red
Other: Framelits, marker, dots embossing folder

Don't forget I started my Monday Lunchtime Sketch challenges again this week too!  You can view this week;s sketch and the fabulous designs from the new Design Team  HERE!

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Fast and Simple for a Saturday Afternoon

So much to do on the weekends so I made just one really quick card for the day!  This is so quick mostly because the background paper includes the sentiment!  So no stamping the sentiment!  And it is so pretty--don't you think.

Clean and simple--only one image to stamp and it is in one color!  Did you even notice this beautiful saying on the bottom corner of the More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper?  I didn't--I actually pulled out the sheet expecting it to be all the same and was pleasantly surprised when I seen the beautiful wording on the bottom.  And it is the perfect size to fit across the bottom of a card--an added plus!

Stamps: You Are Loved
Paper: Basic Grey, Real Red, Very Vanilla, More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper
Ink: Basic Grey, Pool Party (spoonged on edges of heart.
Other: Pool Party ribbon, small heart punch, Heart Framelits, sponges, black marker

Don't forget that my

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge

will be starting back up this Monday!

Please stop by to see the sketch and all the beautiful samples the team has for you.  Then during the week create a card for the challenge and come on back and add it to the linky tool!

Happy today!

Merry Christmas from our home and the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Team too!

I hope that all of your Christmas wishes came true today.  May you day be filled with much joy, laughter, love and family!  We have a house full of SICK people.  My 12 year old has slept for over 36 hours now and is really feeling bad and of course since I spent so much time by his side I too am sick!  I think I have slept at least 19 hours now too.  Crazy!

We have a great sketch for you today!  Remember you have the full week to play along--can't wait to see what you come up with.  Here is the sketch...

Now I must say I am not normally a fan of square cards and if you check out the other designer team samples you will see some great ways of changing this sketch to the regular size.  I chose to stay with it and go in a direction I am not comfortable with all the way around.  Kind of a vintage style--not my ususal but I think it turned out pretty good--it is good to strethch yourself sometimes.

I used lots of layers and textures and of course some bling.  The colors are Real Red and Early Espresso along with Very Vanilla.  This is my fist time using this set from the Holiday mini--so busy with Christmas designs.  The stamp set is called Affection Collection

Well, I guess I am going back to sleep for a bit!  My head and chest hurt.  Come on over and play along with us--or at the very least take a look at all the beautiful cards the rest of the team designed.

Try Stampin On Tuesday Challenge 98

Merry Christmas!
