Try Stamping on Tuesday!

Yep, it is Tuesday.  I have a quick post for you today as I need to be out the door by 6:40 for a doctor's appointment. I must start by saying I had a bit of a hard time with the sketch again this week but I am ok with the sample.  Not sure what was throwing me off  on the sketch but it was fun to make it work--hope you will try it out too and remember to check out what the rest of the team did with the sketch HERE.

Let's start with my sample--I used the retiring set Nature Walk again today as I did yesterday.  I also played along with the Latenightstamper's challenge again and chose retiring colors.  This time I chose Not Quite Navy and River Rock--still looking for a more masculine look.

Here is the sketch..

And here are the details for my card...

Stamps: Nature Walk, One in a Million
Paper Not Quite Navy, River Rock, Very Vanilla
Ink: Not Quite Navy, River Rock
Other: embossing folder, marker

Hope you enjoy your day!  Another beautiful one here but I have to be inside all day--sad face here.

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 262 (TSSC262)

Happy Monday!  We love Monday's around here because it is the beginning of another sketch challenge ALL of us to play along with!  I so love sketch challenges and I know you do too, so let's get right to it.  Here is this week's sketch...

And some basic rules for participation..

  1. You have a full week to play along!
  2. Create a new card using the sketch as your inspiration.
  3. Use any products you choose.
  4. Add your card to your blog or other on-line spot and link back to this challenge.
  5. Come back here and add a direct link to your sample for the challenge and NOT you home page of your blog--people will not look for your challenge card--trust me.
  6. And this one is not really a rule but a request--get rid of that word verification!  It makes it hard for us to comment on your samples.  It is easier for you to delete the spam then for us to jump through tons of hoops to comment.  If your put your comments on moderation you do not have to worry about spam--you will have the option to delete it BEFORE it ever goes on your blog so you will ALWAYS be safe!
  7. Have fun and tell you friends to play too!

Now on to the inspiration.  For my card I decided to use some retiring colors along with retiring stamps.  I need a few masculine-ish thinking of you type cards so that is what I had in mind when creating this one.  And the Latenightstamper's challenge for the week is to use retiring colors so you know the old saying--two birds with one stone!

Everything used on this card--not counting the nestibility dies and sentiment--will be retiring.  I love Baja Breeze with Riding Hood Red.  Sorry they are leaving us. And the stamps set is also retiring--Nature Walk.
Stamps: Nature Walk, Sweet Essentials
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, Whisper White, DP
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze
Other: nestibility dies

Now for the real inspiration--the fabulous Design Team and their incredible samples!

We can't wait to see your sample. When you are done with it remember to come on back and add it to the Linky Tool below!
Happy Stamping
