Try Stamping on Tuesday!

It is my week again to post for the design team on Try Stamping on Tuesday.  (actually we were supposed to post last week but the main site had technical difficulties)  We have a great sketch and the twist for the week is stripes and squares.  Here is the sketch..

And my card for the sketch....

Kept it really simple--added the stripes and squares and a fabulous sentiment from the Feel Goods set.  A few rhinestones to jazz it up a bit and we are on our way--I believe we almost have my computer issues fixed--at least after my hubby gets home from work today they should be--keep your fingers crossed for me.  I really need to get my posts done in an easier manner, lol.

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 305--(TSSC305)

So if you read the last post with my top three picks for last week--you know I have no internet access on all of our main machines and TV's.  I am getting so frustrated with the outages lately--the good news is that I can still post from this computer but I am no able to upload my sample with this one--insert sad face here :(  So I will add my sample at a later time but I still have the fabulous design team samples to share now.  So let's start with the sketch for the week, shall we......

And now the teams samples....

Man, I am always amazed at the fabulous job this team does with the sketches each week.  They just blow me away with their talent.  As do you my friends who play along--hope you have time to play this week!  If you do be sure to come on back and leave your direct link on the linky tool below.
Here are a few rules of play....

  1. You have a full week to play along!
  2. Create a new card using the sketch as your inspiration.
  3. Use any products you choose.
  4. Add your card to your blog or other on-line spot and link back to this challenge.
  5. Come back here and add a direct link to your sample for the challenge and NOT you home page of your blog--people will not look for your challenge card--trust me.
  6. And this one is not really a rule but a request--get rid of that word verification!  It makes it hard for us to comment on your samples.  It is easier for you to delete the spam then for us to jump through tons of hoops to comment.  If your put your comments on moderation you do not have to worry about spam--you will have the option to delete it BEFORE it ever goes on your blog so you will ALWAYS be safe!
  7. Have fun and tell you friends to play too!

    Thanks, Mary Jo

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 304 (TSSC304)

Time for a brand new sketch.  Hope you had a great week and that you are ready to play along with a brand new sketch challenge this week!  I think it is a really fun one and the team has come up with some fabulous ideas for you!  Let's start with the sketch, shall we?.........

and then my sample....

This for the birds set is one of my favorites and when I started matching up papers for the background the colors made me think of this image and I thought it would be fun to match the two up.  I have so many brand new sets but I adore this one and had to play with it with these colors.  I love how it turned out.  The doily is a great backdrop for the image!

Stamps: For the Birds, Sweet Essentials
Paper: Crumb Cake, Real Red, Whisper White and dp from the Fresh Prints stack
Ink: Basic Black
Other: markers, floral embelishment, doily, nestabilities
And now for the rest of the team's samples....
