Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 150!

Man that just blows me away, I can not believe this is sketch number 150!  In honor of that I will be sending a little prize package to one randomly picked winner from the players for this week!  You can play as many times as you would like.  I love the sketch this week and can not wait to see what you guys come up with!  Here is the sketch...

I am also very happy with my card this week! It turned out so pretty and it will be one of the cards we will be making at my class on Saturday.  Love it.  What do you think?

It really looks better in person.  I also created this for a challenge design challenge using two stamps, three brads or other embellishments and one piece of dp.

Stamps: Christ is Born
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, old Olive, dp
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Other: embossing plate, rhinestones, scallop edge border

I hope you find time to play along this week. Don't forget I will be picking one random winner from all the participates to win a surprise package from me.  So be sure you have your card sample linked below.

Till next time,
Mary Jo

Blogger's Challenge--color

This week's blogger's challenge is to use the following color combo.

Mustard, Rust and Blue

I really did not feel like doing a fall card since we are seeing snow here so this is what I came up with, not sure how much I like the sponging--I am so NOT good at that, lol!

Be sure to check out what the rest of the players did by clicking HERE

And by the way, I did not forget about the two tutorials I said I would post, just got a bit busy with the excitement of the holiday.

Stamps:  Every Moment
Paper: Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla
Ink: Basic Black, Baja Breeze, Cajun Craze
Other: sponges, slit punch, embossing folder, markers

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving (my American friends)!
and may you continue to have a wonderful weekend.

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 149!

One week away from 150 sketches!  WOW!  I am amazed I have lasted this long doing these.  I really enjoy seeing what you make with the sketches.  It is fun for me too as I do the sketches so far in advance that I am surprised by the sketch each week too, lol!  This week is an easy one.  I went for a Christmas theme since I seem to be in that mode lately with all my classes and such.  I am close to having all my cards done!  YIPPEE!  So I bet you just want to see the sketch, right?!  Well here it is...

And here is my sample.

I finally got to use some of those red snowflakes!  I was not sure what to do with them but they look cute on this card to bring out a bit more of the red.

Stamps:  Scenic Season and one of the seaside sketches for the sentiment.  The letters are from the retired alphadots set, they fit perfectly in the build a brads.
Paper: Old Olive, Whisper White, DP
Ink: Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler
Other: felt snowflakes, build a brads, glue, glitter, embossing folder

I hope you have time to play along this week--I can see so many great possibilities with this sketch.  Remember to come on back and leave your link below so we can all view your projects.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, may you have a blessed week!
Mary Jo
