Top Three for Sketch 347.

Today is like the first day of the new year as it is the first day back to a regular routine.  My son will be back in school and all activities begin again.  It is going to be a great year!  I hope you are excited about it too--2015 here we come. Let's start out by celebrating the newest winners for last week's sketch challenge.  These are my top three picks and they are in no particular order.  You can click on the links below each thumbnail image to be taken directly to the creator's blog and see all the details!  Please do visit them and let them know how great their designs are.

One more time with the Perfect Peacocks

I had to have a few cards in the pack of peacock cards that showed the entire image. I am not sure you can tell from the picture but the feathers are a gray shade with blue and green accents. This image is so big that if you use the whole thing there is not much to do with the card so they are super simple!Yet still really pretty.

Stamps: Pretty Peacock

Paper: Pear Pizzazz,  Whisper White
Ink: Momento
Other: blendabilities and black marker

Happy Saturday--hope you are enjoying your weekend!

More Perfect Peacocks.

I almost forgot about you guys again! Not sure why I can not seem to get to the computer to get my posts up lately. I am busy crafting and making all kinds of things then giving them away without remembering to take pictures and share. What the heck, it is not like I have not been doing this for years! Must be the new embroidery machine that has me on overload--I am having so much fun with it though. Hopefully I will get back on track with my posting soon.  I have a few more Perfect Peacock cards to share with you today....

This stamp is really big and kind and beautiful!  I have a friend who collects peacocks so I made her a set of note cards for Christmas--these were included in the set amongst many others.  I colored the images with the blendabilities.  They really look great in real life.

Stamps: Pretty Peacock

Paper: Pear Pizzazz, Island Indigo, Whisper White and All is Calm DP
Ink: Momento
Other: black marker

Thanks for visiting today--I hope you enjoyed my quick post.

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 347 (TSSC347)

Welcome welcome welcome--we are almost at the end of another year!  I hope that you had a fabulous Christmas (if you celebrate).  Mine was wonderful except for being sick most of it--but still able to spend a bit of time with my loved ones--even if a lot of it was sleeping, lol!  As much as I love the holidays I am looking forward to the new year--I love new beginnings and even though it really is not any different it seems like it is--you know like a new week or the day after your birthday--it is still just the next day but it is so much more refreshing to approach it as a brand new opportunity.  Anyway you look at it I hope you have a Happy New Year!  So now let's check out the new sketch for this end/beginning of the year challenge.

And here is my sample.....

The battery on my camera needs to be charged so I had the take the pictures pretty fast and unfortunately it was hard to get a good picture with all the light colors.  I think the card turned out fun--I always make one new year card each year although I don't do anything with them?  But it is a tradition to post one each year so this is the one for this year.  I used the In This Together stamp set--this cutie has not seen ink before.  Perfect for a New Year's celebration!
Stamps: In this together, Typeset photopolymer stamps
Paper: Basic Black, Soft Sky, Whisper White and DP, glitter paper
Ink: Basic Black
Other: blendabilities, candy dots, rhinestones,  nestabilities, glitter pen

Now for the real inspiration--the design team's samples....

Nicole Tugrul

Robbie

They really are an amazing group these ladies!  I love each of their samples.
Thanks girls, you are the best!
Now it is YOUR turn to play!
Hope to see your sample below on the linky tool.

Remember you have a full week.

Here are some basic rules for the challenge....
  1. You have a full week to play along!
  2. Create a new card using the sketch as your inspiration.
  3. Use any products you choose.
  4. Add your card to your blog or other on-line spot and link back to this challenge.
  5. Come back here and add a direct link to your sample for the challenge and NOT you home page of your blog--people will not look for your challenge card--trust me.
  6. And this one is not really a rule but a request--get rid of that word verification!  It makes it hard for us to comment on your samples.  It is easier for you to delete the spam then for us to jump through tons of hoops to comment.  If your put your comments on moderation you do not have to worry about spam--you will have the option to delete it BEFORE it ever goes on your blog so you will ALWAYS be safe!
  7. Have fun and tell you friends to play too!
    Add your sample below
    Thanks!  Mary Jo
