I would love to see what you come up with for this sketch challenge! You can find the sketch and original post HERE.

I am gonna try to force myself into my studio. Don't forget that tomorrow is Whatchadoing Wednesday at SUInk! I am leading the challenges now so I hope you will play along with that challenge too.

SNEAK PEEK! SUInk-- First and Goal!

Are you a football fan? Do your kids or grand kids play football? This is such a fun set and I am so excited to show you a sneak peek with it. The set is called First and Goal and there are so many fun images in it. I had a card done with the cheerleader from the set but since Laruen had such a cute card with her I thought I would SNEAK in a few of the different images. Quite a few actually! I love to make backgrounds with word stamps. This is so much easier with clear stamps -- I am really a die hard rubber lover but clear certainly has it's advantages! I may have bordered on too busy here but it was such a fun card I just kept going with it. What do you think? Wouldn't these images make great scrapbook pages?

Here is a close up of the football ripping through the background.

There are more sneak peeks for you to see at Dawn Easton's Blog and Jen Ofiana's Blog too!

All of these sets will be available to purchase tomorrow! You can purchase them HERE!

Here are the details:

Stamps: First and Goal -- Storage Units Ink & More (SUInk)
Paper: Pacific Point, Real Red textured card stock, whisper white and basic black
Ink: Pacific Point, Real Red and Basic Black
Other: craft knife, colored pencils, gel pen

I will be back soon with another card and another player for this weeks sketch challenge! Don't go too far.

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge #37

Can you believe that I almost forgot about this completely. I am sure you are like me and at times seem to have your hands in just about everything and wonder how the heck you are gonna keep it straight. You do have those moments, don't you?? I was so busy working on stuff for the Chili Cook-Off/Dessert Bake-Off that I run at my church to further benefit the CROP hunger walk and thinking about needing to do a newsletter for my customers and for my cub scouts. And of course trying to get some DT stuff done for the new release at Storage Units Ink and More (SUInk) and working on some challenges on SCS, and and and --- believe me the list goes on and on. I am not complaining you see, just trying to remember, lol. So anyway, enough of that gunk, lets get to the sketch challenge. That is why I am posting after all! Here is this week's sketch.....

And of course my card. I had a horrific time trying to get a really clear picture. Should have done it earlier in the day -- but of course the card was not done then so this is what you get, sorry. It may seem a bit clearer if you click on it to enlarge it.

Here is the details:

Stamps: Nursery Necessities
Paper: Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, Basic Black and Muirfield DP
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze and Basic Black
Other: mini black brads, velvet star brads (MM), large oval punch, black marker, white gel pen, tag corner punch, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug

I would so enjoy if you would play along this week! If you do please post a comment here with a link so I can share it with everyone else. And if you post on SCS (which I always forget to do) please use the key word TSSC37! I am off to bed! See ya with more stuff in the morning, I had a busy day in my studio today!

Lots to share this morning.

Happy Sunday to all of you. I have had quite an eventful morning so far. I was in the shower getting ready for church when my smoke alarm went off. I flew out of the shower and rushed around to get my son, two dogs and cat out of the house (didn't even try to get the snake, lol) so I could investigate. Well long story made very short I think I need a new battery in my smoke detector! I have never had that happen before, scarred the heck out of me. And my poor son was standing out in the rain while I checked the house! Better safe than sorry but YIKES.

Anyway, I have a lot to share this morning. First I played in the Featured Stamper Challenge at SCS. I had so much fun. I actually combined two cards to create this one. I really loved the layout on one and the pumpkin faces on the other.

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...ppuser= 17031

and this one

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...p;ppuser=17031

And here is what my card looks like with the two merged together.

I really like it. Here are the details:

Stamps: Autumn Harvest

Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: colored pencils, nestabilities, scallop edge punch, ribbon

What's New?! I joined Storage Units Ink & More!

So I can finally decided to take the plunge and join a design team! Not only did I join but I am the Senior DT member. That just means I get to have a lot more responsibility. Not only will I have the opportunity to design with some really fun stamps from Storage Units Ink & More (SUInk) , but I get to come up with the Whachdoin Wednesday Challenges (you all know how I love challenges) and more important to all you you, I am the Design Team coordinator! That means I actually have a reason to spend hours on the computer checking out all of your creations so that I can find new designers! I will be looking for guest designers, full designers, Jr designer and people to design projects for newsletters! So the next time you enter on of my challenges I may be looking at you in a whole new light! Check out my side bar for the links to the rest of the team.

Please take a moment to check out the Stoarage Units Inks & More (SUInk) site, the stamps are great and they sell that awesome Core'dinations paper that has a coordinating core color so it is super fun to distress or tear because that shows off the two colors! Even better than that they sell ink pads in colors to match the papers! Oh yea, and copics and super storage units and and and --- you better go take a look for your self! HERE.

Storage Units Inks & More (SUInk) is also about to have a new release and it is sneak peek days so check out my next post for the lineup of who will be showcasing the new sets on what days. You won't want to miss any of them! These girls are good.

Not so sure I like this card but here it is. I do think that this little guy is adorable though. This stamp set -Under the Stars- is on sale till the end of the month! I also love the colors in this dp--Holiday Treasures. So I certainly don't hate the card, lol. As an after thought I should have added some ribbon or something between the two pieces of dp. Oh well, no time to fix it now.

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge #36

I'm back again, lots of posts today! It is time again for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. For those of you who may be new to my blog this is my personal challenge that is posted every Monday morning (late Sunday actually) I would love to have you play along. There are no rules and no time limit. The only restriction is that if you want me to post a link on here for everyone else to see it must be done before the next challenge is posted. Of course you can still send me links after that-- I love to see all your beautiful work! So don't forget to add a link in the comments of this post if you try this fun sketch! If you post to SCS please use the key words TSSC36. Here is the sketch......

And my sample......

There are quite a few subtle details that don't really show, like the felt on the brad, shinny glassware and mini pearls. I really had fun with this one. Just an FYI, I create most of my sketches from random things such as cookie boxes, signs, posters and things of that nature. Then I don't really look at them or study them at all. I open the sketch on Sunday and say "oh yea! I love this one" or " what the heck was I thinking!" (lol) So I actually challenge myself too! Won't you play along this week?

Here are the details:

Stamps: To Have and To Hold
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirqouette and Basic Black along with the Bella Rose dp
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Taffeta Ribbon, mini pearls, felt flower brad (MM) scallop edge punch, white gel pen, nestabilities, glitter marker, clear gel pen

That's it for today! See you tomorrow. As always, thanks for stopping by.

Last one for Sketch 35

Terri at Life with Terri

Great job Terri. I am posting sketch 36 in a minute or two so don't go too far!

You got to see this!

No, not the card. Yes, it is a nice card but that is not what you HAVE to see. That is at the end of this post so be sure to read the whole thing! It is the biggest blog candy EVER!

You thought my give away was big --at over $200 in stamps?!? Well you need to check out the one on Carolyn King blog! She is giving away $1000 in prizes! That right! I did not make a mistake with the zeros it is really over $1000 worth of prizes. And the best part is it is another one of those feel good type of giveaways. All you have to do is create a card and send it to someone who cares for a loved one who has Alzheimer's! If you don't know any one she even gives you an address to send to. How wonderful is that. Carolyn also has a stamp set that she designed and is selling with 100% OF THE PROCEEDS going to Alzheimer's Association! Be sure to check that out too. Here is the card I am sending to a friend from church that is caring for her father who has Alzheimer's. There are many versions of this card out there but I know she likes daisies so this is perfect! I feel good about sending this -- even if I don't win! But boy would it ever be nice to get all that loot!

Here is a direct link to the give away...

Heart to Heart Blog Candy

Don't miss out on this one-- I know I am in it.

Orange You Better Yet? -FS85- and a couple sketch players too!

It has been a while since I participated in a Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS so I thought I would do one today while getting prepared for my technique class tomorrow night.
We are doing the bandanna technique and wait to you see my other card. I love it. I do think this one is cute too but the other one rocks--you will have to wait for that one though--sorry.

Here are the details.

a Haunting Halloween! 6x6

This is for a Stampin Up! Party I have tomorrow. The hostess wanted to do a 6x6 scrapbook page with a Halloween theme. I hope this is ok. I wish my photo matched better but it is all I could find at the moment. The photo is from two years ago -- I am soooooo far behind on scrapbooking you would never believe it! I don't know about you but I find 6 x 6 scrapbooking more difficult than the larger sizes. What about you?

Ink: Basic Black and Sahara Sand
Other: scallop punch, tag punch, photo corner punch, paper piercer and mat pack, white gel pen, black marker, white brads, dauber to sponge on tomb stones

SUINK Whachadoin Wednesday? Challenge! 15 on 1 I think???

What a fun challenge Denise had this week and it involves a contest too!

From now until Midnite Saturday 9-20-08 the person who links a card on the SUINK blog with the MOST images (all images MUST be different) on that card will win ALL 4 Oct. 1st release stamp sets...sound like fun...come join us

All you have to do, is link your card to this post...If you are uploading to SCS, type in keyword SUINKWWC6 ...and as always, you do not have to use Storage Units, Ink & More stamp sets...but, why wouldn't you? As always have a great Wednesday

I thought this sounded so fun so I grabbed the two SUINK sets that I have and got to work. It actually fit perfect with the fact that I have a friend who is having such a hard time finding a decent guy-- she just has bad luck in this area and has just had another upsetting breakup so this card will be for her! I have 14 different images on the front and one more on the inside. I could have added more inside but I need room to write! What do you think?

I think it is pretty funny! I have four different frogs in the wheelbarrow! I hope she thinks it is as cute as I do, lol. Here are the details.

Stamps: All Things Grow with Love and Leapfrog (both SUINK July releases)
Paper: Tangerine Tango and Whisper White (SU)
Ink: Basic Black
Other: colored pencils and gamsol, white gel pen

This was a fun card to make! I just adore these frogs.

So what are you waiting for get creating and send it in -- you can win all four of the October release sets! That would ROCK!

Blogger's Challenge #64

This week's challenge was to use Designer Series Paper. Well, I guess that is enough push for me to finally make one of these adorable bags out of paper. These have been roaming around on different sites for quite a while now, but they just seems a bit too tedious to me. But was I ever wrong! These were one of the easiest boxes/bags I have ever made! And as much as I really despise to make anything more than once I may actually have to play with this one a little bit more they are too cute. I want to try to come with different size ones.

There have been so many samples and tutorials for this I do not even know who to link you to. If you have questions about how to make it let me know and I will help you out with more information! Got to get my butt moving only two more days till CROP walk and I have LOTS to do still! Imagine that.

Stamps: Pick a Petal and Think Happy Thoughts
Paper: Bella Rose DP and Pink Pirouette and Chocolate Chip card stock
Ink: Riding Hood Red
Other: Tab punch, circle punches, scallop border punch, chocolate chip brad, jumbo eyelets and ribbon

Hope you have a great day!

Red and Pink Daisies

I am not sure why I have been getting such nasty pictures lately. I have not changed any settings on my camera or lighting?? Very frustrating. I may have to start staging my cards again. They just don't look as pretty on the screen as in real life. Anyway, I am continuing to use my new stamps. This is the Upsy Daisy Set. It is so fun to work with. Although I am having a bit of a difficulty getting a solid image with it. I have tried every trick I know to condition it. I have used the eraser, Stazon, sanding block, jeans, Versa Mark. Anyone have any other ideas? I would love to hear them if you do. But for now here is my card.

Stamps: Upsy Dasiy and Pocket Sillohettes
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red card stock and Bella Rose DP
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black
Other: new ribbon

I did not have time to update my donations yet. Since I am the coordinator and this is the final week before the CROP walk I am a bit burried. But I believe I have around $400 in local donations and then I know I am over $400 here so that gets me pretty close. Only need a little under $200 more to hit goal! Check out this post for more details.

Blogger's Challenge Week 63 -- You got to be in it to win it.

This week's Blogger's Challenge was a super easy one for me. It was a color challenge and they are all new in-colors. I just love the brand new line of colors this year. My favorite ever! They are bold and fun which is just my style. We were to use four of the new colors...

Kiwi Kiss
Tangerine Tango
Riding Hood Red
and
Pacific Point

These just happen to be my favorites! The other are more muted subtle colors.

I also combined this with the

this weeks challenge was to use paper piecing. I knew I wanted to do a Halloween card and only have two sets from Storage Units Inks & More (for now) so I used the stamping up set Haunting Halloween for this time around. Why not play along with either of these challenges.

I hope you enjoy my card today and please take some time to check out the other players by clicking on the logo on the right side of my blog.

Stamps: Haunting Halloween
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Riding Hood Red, and Pacific Point card stock with Bella Rose DP scraps.
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Cuttlebug embossing folder, mini black brads, colored pencils, blender pens.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

YOU GOT TO BE IN IT TO WIN IT!
OVER $200 WORTH OF BRAND NEW STAMPS SET COULD BE YOURS.

It seems that there are only 18 people out there that want to help others, get a tax write off and have a chance at winning over $200 in brand new stamps sets all at one time. That don't seem right. I am so happy that I am happy to say that I am one third of the way to my goal! But I need more so I am resorting to a little begging. Won't you consider even a two dollar donation to help others and you never know you may walk away with all of this......

The walk is on the 14th so time is running out. Don't miss your chance to win!

Phew! I almost forgot and more players for the sketch challenge too.

So I get up this morning and realize I forgot to make some kind of little gift for my son's new teacher! What the heck was I thinking. And to make it worse I also forgot that there is a full time aide in the class too. Well I had to make it fast since I needed two gifts and could not run out and get anything to use. What else could I do but make these cute 3 by 3 boxes again. I used a black and blue color theme since I already had materials cut for two boxes that were left over form a class! That saved a bit of time Then I just had to make the card. I did not have time to take a picture of all the cards but if you click on this picture it will make it bigger and you can see most of the details just fine. Good think I get up early!

Each box had five cards and matching envelopes in them. I hope they like them.

Here are a few more samples with this week's sketch challenge too!

Thanks ladies!

More Monday Lunchtime Sketch Players!

This is even my 3rd card with the sketch this week! What is up with that. I really like how this one turned out in real life. I used that Corde'dinations card stock that is two colors. This particular piece is Dark blue on top and light blue core so when you sand it you can see the light blue through. I know it looks white in the picture but it is indeed blue. I created this for yesterday's color challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The challenge was to create a monochromatic card. There are tiny blue bling on the main snowflake too, you probably have to click on the image to enlare it to be able to see it. By the way you can purchase this card stock at Storage Units Ink & More.

Stamps: Snow Burst, Snow jumbo Wheel
Paper: Bashful Blue, Corde'dinations card stock, Bashful Blue DP
Ink: Pacfic Breeze, Bashful Blue
Accessories: mini bling, cuttlebug embossing folder, sanding block

And here are some other fun samples by others!
