Morning Cup x 3--sounds about right for me!

That is three cups of coffee while doing my morning computer work, that is not to mention how much more I may or may not drink throughout the day.  I do love my coffee!  Surprisingly I am drawn to the tea part of this stamp set more, weird how that is.  Anyway, I am still working on samples for the Challenge/Contest on Latenightstampers.  Remember the one where someone is going to win $25 worth of Stampin Up products of their choice from me.  If you want more details check out this post, or better yet join the Latenightstamper's group and play along. It's free and awesome too!

4 more cards withthe In Wilderness Stamp Set

Seems that Blogger and I have not been getting along lately.  I have been trying to post these card since yesterday morning!  It just would not let me do a new post?  Well it seems I am winning for the time being so I better type fast, lol.  Here are the other four cards made with the In Wilderness stamp set that I said I would post yesterday.

I really enjoyed making these cards.  They are all fairly simple and make wonderful masculine cards.  I f you have any questions feel free to leave a comment (with your e-mail) and I will get back to you.  I am afraid I may have some type of stomach bug, so I am going to lay down for a while.  Hope you have a great day!

Blogger's Challenge gone bad--too many bugs!I

I got this super cool thing in the mail the other day. It was a canister type thing and when you opened it there were drink mixes in there.  I was so excited because I thought it would make a super cute gift holder.  I was thinking fun summery paper on the outsides and then filling it with a small sun screen, nail file chap stick, small lotion.  You get the picture don't you.  Well as the title implies--it did not work.  After I covered the inside part with paper it would no longer fit inside the outer part!  No matter what I did--can't believe they were that tight--I only used designer paper and only one layer!  So that was that!  I decided to cover the other part and make them into pencil and accessory holders.  Sorry guys.....I am sure the rest of the Blogger's challenge crew had better luck than me, lol. You can visit them by clicking on the logo on the top right hand side of my blog.  I do have some fun bug cards to share at the end of the post though!

Here is the original container....

And my boring old containers....

Here are my buggy posts too.  This week and next on Latenightstampers we have a contest/challenge going on where you could win $25 worth of Stampin Up product of your choice from me.  The details of the challenge are as follows....

Challenge 80--one stamp set two or more cards

And a contest to see who can post the most samples using this challenge (in the Challenge 80 members photo album)

You can win $25 worth of your choice of products from the new catalog!!

Challenge and Contest will run from July 19-August 2

So here are some samples with the Bugs and Kisses stamp set.

All three cards use the Bugs and Kisses set.  The one with the ants carrying the caterpillar also uses the Loads of love set.  I also kept to the same color combo using the same papers and inks.

Papers Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, and the dp from our current mini.
Ink: Old Olive, Real Red, Basic Black, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie
Other: wide oval punch, ribbon, scallop edge punch, mini circle punch from the punch pack, embossing folders.

Hope you have a great weekend--full of fun and blessings!

Three more cards with Just Believe

As I have already said, I love this set.  I especially love the sentiment--Some things must be believed to be seen.  Makes me think about Jesus.  Once you believe you really do begin to see.  Such a great sentiment.  I think this first card is my favorite one of the group.  I just love these colors.  The background around the flower is done by setting the entire  Crumb Cake stamp pad on the paper and gently pushing down around the edges.  I always love this technique.  I then just tore around the rectangle the pad left.

This next card is using the sketch from SCS... I used the circle stamp to make a background panel, love this layout!

And then one more...

All of the samples use the same basic supplies

Stamps: Just Believe (card three has the addition of  two other stamp sets but the names escape me at the moment, lol)
Paper: Soft Seude, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ink: Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake
Other: paper piercer, embossing folders, ribbon, white gel pen

I hope you have enjoyed the five cards I made with this set.  I know I loved making them.  Thanks for stopping by today and visiting.  Happy Today!

Stampin 411 sketch

This is card number two for the Just believe series.  I used the same color combo as the card yesterday but combined it with the 411 sketch for the week!  You can find the sketch HERE

I really really love this new set.  I did add a few other items to this one.  The bottom border is from the Vintage Vogue set.  And the little flowers on the strip are from the Just Because hostess set.

Stamps: Just Believe, Vintage Vogue, Just Because
Paper: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Ink: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze
Other: scallop trim border punch, Designer Brads

Have a great day!

Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 131!

Wow, there is REALLY something wrong with my computer.  It is running incredibly slow--especially online?  But not only online, it seems to be running like crazy and I don't know what the heck it is that is running in the background.  I did the task manager but don't have a clue what the items are so don't know what to turn off, lol. It is such a joy to be so ignorant to how this silly thing works!  NOT!!  Anyway it is Monday and although I tried to post this last night neither my computer or Blogger were working with me so this is my third attempt.  I am feeling good about it since I got this far.

I know that many of my Stampin Up friends are busy getting ready or heading out to convention--hope you guys have a great time--without me, sob sob.....

I hope that the rest of you can find time to fit in my sketch challenge this week.  I think you will like this sketch.  I am going to combine it with my challenge for the Latenightstamper's group to make two or more cards with the same set--over the next few days I will be sharing 5 cards with not only the same set but the same color combo.  I think this is my favorite "new" set in the catalog.

Here is the sketch...

and my sample...

Stamps: Just Believe
Paper:  Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ink: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze
Other: border punch, vintage wallpaper embossing folder

Please remember to add your sample to the links below.  Can't wait to see what you come up with, I really love this sketch, I will use it again for sure!

Isn't it a fun sketch... here is my first sample.

I am loving these colors together.  Daffidol Delight, Crumb Cake and Tempting Turquoise.  So summery feeling.  The humming bird does not really pop but I wanted him to be the same colors.  Be sure to check out the rest of the BC team.  The logo can be found on the upper right hand side of my blog.  Click there and you will be taken to the rest of the players. You will not be sorry, they are quite the creative bunch!

Top Three for sketch 129!

Running late--spent the last week camping with my son.  We had so much fun--lot of heat and rain!  Therefore there were also a lot of bugs, lol.  But we had a blast anyway.  Sad because this is his last year of cub scouts and now will be moving on the boy scouts so we will not be at this camp anymore.  We really enjoyed the last four years of camping there.

Anyway, back the matter at hand....I loved the sketch for last week because it allowed us to use up some scraps.  Thanks so much to everyone who played along.  Great samples.  Here are my top three favorites for the week.    Remember that you can click on the little previews of the cards to be brought to the creator's original post with all the details.  I would love if you took a few minutes to leave the winners a comment.  They are so deserving.  (As are all the samples, all the time).

Be sure to check out the full cards--you will not be sorry you took the time. Great job ladies! Please feel free to add my top three winner badge to your blogs. Here is the code (I think, I can not figure out how to make is show up as actual HTML)

Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 129

Hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend (for those of you in the US)!  We just got back home from watching some of the most beautiful fireworks I have seen in a while.  What a fabulous show our town put on tonight.

This week's sketch is a pretty easy one--at least I think it is and it would be a great sketch to use those designer paper scraps.  Here is the sketch...

And my sample...

As usual I combined my sketch challenge card with the new Latenightstampers challenge. This week we have a inspiration challenge!  Here is the photo we are using for our inspiration.

I was inspired by the colors and the stripes.  I think this is more of a Kiwi Kiss green but since I needed to be 100% current products for the LNS challenge I went with Old Olive.  I am still happy with the results.  Lots of different sets were used to get the look I wanted.

Stamps: builder wheels-candle crazy and so many stars, Itty Bitty Bits, Birthday Bliss and All Holidays
Paper: Pacific Point, Old Olive, Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Ink: Old Olive, Pacific Point, Basic Black
Other: circle punch, builder wheel, scallop circle punch, scallop edge punch

Hope you can play along this week!  I know everyone has been so busy but stamping is the best form of stress release I know and busy usually brings stress.  Hope to see your creation soon.

Thanks for stopping by and saying hi!
Mary Jo

Top Three for sketch 128!

I thought this was a pretty neat sketch, just different enough to make us think.

Stampin Connection's Featured Stamper # 22

Well this week we are finally getting around to choosing the Queen of the Brayer!  Yep you guessed it right it is none other than MichelleZindorf.  This is my very first time trying out one of Michelle's techniques.  I can see that these could be really fun and addicting!  My hands are quite the mess and my card does not even come close to having the dimension that her's does, but as I said this was my first time.  I am actually quite pleased with how it turned out and it was really easy too!  Looks so intimidating--that is why I never did it before.  So if you are a US demo please come on over to the Stampin Connection and play along. Click here to see the master list of the Featured Stamper Challenges.  If you are not you can still play by visiting Michelle's blog and then coming back and linking here!

Anyway let's move on to the card, shall we?

I just love this sentiment!  So beautiful.  I stamped my flower with Cajun Craze and Basic Black.  The sky is and water are sponged and brayered with Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point.  The grass is done with direct to paper technique using Old Olive, Always Artichoke and Basic Black.  The highlights are done with a white gel pen.  Not bad for a first try, I over did the sky, not enough white left showing.   Here is Michelle's card, I know it is much better but.....

Thanks for the inspiration and tutorials Michelle!  Love them.

Blogger's challenge- Patriotic

It seems like it was just Friday yesterday, lol.  I have still not even finished visiting the whole list of players from last week and it is time for another challenge.  This week Lisa wanted us to make a patriotic card-appropriate to this time of year.  I have been struggling with my MoJo as of late and do not like this but do not really have time to re-do it so it is what it is.  Be sure to click on the blogger's challenge logo on the top right hand corner of my blog to visit all the players.  I KNOW their cards will rock as they always do!  I am tired and can't wait to hit the pillow.

Stamps: Service and Sacrifice
Paper: Night of Navy, Pacific Point (love that this color is back) Real Red and Whisper White.
Ink: Pacific Point and Real Red
Other: star punch, white gel pen, markers, tool kit

Hope you have a wonderful Friday--TGIF!!!!
Mary Jo

Fast and Fabulous!

Finally!  Today is the day the new catalog is live!  I am so excited!  My card today is using the new level 2 hostess set--Fast and Fabulous.  I love this new color combo, don't you.  It has the brand  new color--Cajun Craze.

I  used the sketch from SCS for this week!  Fun sketch. And it also fits the LNS challenge to use new products!

Stamps: Fast and Fabulous, Friendly Words Wheel
Paper: Cajun Craze, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, Cajun Craze
Other: markers,  embossing folder, color spritzer

Happy Thursday!
