Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 298!

Happy Martin Luther King Day--which around here means--Happy No School!  My son is so happy to have another day off--seems that they have not had a full week of school in at least  a month, between conference days, half days, snow days, holidays--they are off every time I turn around!  Good think I love to have him home with me.  Well if you are home maybe you will have more time to play today--so let's get right to the sketch so you can!  Here is this week's sketch...

Here is my sample...

I think I went a little pattern crazy but I actually like it.  Once your eyes can settle on one thing, lol!  I am so loving the colors in this DP.  Obviously since I did my last tutorial using the new SAB set See Ya Later and all my last few cards with it, I may have to order more!
Paper: Baked Brown Sugar, Costal Cabana, Very Vanilla and Retro Fresh DP
Ink: Coastal Cabana
Other:  Starburst Framelits, embellishments from Paper Pumpkins January kit and Banner Framelits

Now I am happy to share the wonderful samples that the Design Team designed for this challenges.  They are fabulous.....

A bit of a different sketch but it lends itself to lots of great cards, so give it a try.  When you are done be sure to come on back and leave a direct link below.
Here are a few rules of play....

  1. You have a full week to play along!
  2. Create a new card using the sketch as your inspiration.
  3. Use any products you choose.
  4. Add your card to your blog or other on-line spot and link back to this challenge.
  5. Come back here and add a direct link to your sample for the challenge and NOT you home page of your blog--people will not look for your challenge card--trust me.
  6. And this one is not really a rule but a request--get rid of that word verification!  It makes it hard for us to comment on your samples.  It is easier for you to delete the spam then for us to jump through tons of hoops to comment.  If your put your comments on moderation you do not have to worry about spam--you will have the option to delete it BEFORE it ever goes on your blog so you will ALWAYS be safe!
  7. Have fun and tell you friends to play too!

    Thanks, Mary Jo

Great sketch, Mary Jo. I really hope I find time to play this week. I have been loving all the sketches the past few weeks. I've had more time for blogging, but I'm still only getting finishing about two cards a week! Enjoy your day off!

Geez, I forgot to mention your card...it's great! The color combo with that big sentiment stamp from Starburst Sayings...eye catching! I like all the patterns.
