Yesterday I was going to meet my mom and her friend at bingo--her friend's daughter was celebrating her birthday. I have only met her once before but I still did not want to show up empty handed--ya know what I mean? So I quickly put together a fun little gift with matching card using out thinlet dies. The whole thing cost me about $2 but seems like so much more--don't you agree?
I used our sunshine wishes dies to cut a flower out of vinyl for the cup and a matching flower from Marina Mist card stock for the card. The hello is from a retired die set called Hello You. I think it works perfectly on the mug. The card is made really quickly on our note cards. I used the brick wall background embossing folder and a few rhinestones to finish it off. The sentiment and inside are from the Five for All stamp set.
Quick and cute--you all know that is my kind of project.
I have a case of these mugs for just this type of project. But this is the first time that I used our dies on vinyl. I could not get the die to not cut through the image so I just added the die cut vinyl to a piece of transfer tape and then took the backing off to expose the sticky side. Love how cute the card and cup looked together.
