Take Two Tuesday!

Welcome to Take Two Tuesday where I take an old sample and recreate it using current products!  I love doing this--essentially I am just casing myself, lol.  But it sounds better to call it Take Two Tuesday!  Don't you agree?

I try to do these without much thought of what sample I pick from the pile and what set I use.  So when I randomly picked today's sample I was a bit bummed as I have not crafted in a bit and I really didn't even like the sample I picked to case!  But what the heck--I gave it a go anyway.  I seriously need to up my game with my designer paper.  I stopped ordering it for a while as I could not use it fast enough before it retired, but now I am down to only one current paper pack!  So you notice I have made all my cards using the same designer paper lately.  Good think I love the paper!

Here is the old and new card together......

It is not one of my favorites...but it sure felt good to craft so I am not complaining in any way!  It is too good to be back at it.

Here is the new card alone......

This was the first time I pulled out the dies that match the Colorful Seasons set--they are pretty awesome!  And there are a lot of dies in the set.  The stamped leaf in the background is from the Colorful Seasons set along with the sentiment.  Mint Macron and Rich Razzleberry seemed like a strange combo at first but it has grown on me a bit.  I cut the veins of the leaf with the polka dot paper to try to pull it all together???  Not positive it worked but as I said before--I am ok with it.

Here are the supplies used on my card.

I will never stop believing in you!

I so love this mermaid from the Magical Mermaid set.  And this is a perfect card for one of the girls on my shop club team!  She is rocking it and doing an amazing job.  And I hear she loves mermaids so there is that too!

These are the most relaxing colors to me--so beachy.  Don't you agree.   And you probably can not see it on any of the pictures but there is some amazing sparkle on this card between the pearlized doily and the wink of stella!  Love sparkle.  Can never go wrong with sparkle--in my book.

I honestly need to order some new current designer papers as this is the only pack I have current at the moment!  What the What???  Seems crazy don't it. I usually have them all but my studio is much smaller than it used to be and I am struggling to figure out what to do with everything---but I NEED more designer paper, lol.  So many great ones in the catalog--especially the new holiday catalog!

Here is a side-ish view of the card ....

I made two cards with this set while it was out so I will share the other one tomorrow.  Here are the supplies for this one...

The rest of the Paper Pumpkin Cards

Here are the other cards I made with the kit.  Actually I am holding two back as they are being sent to people who are on here and I want them to get them before  post them.

A quick post for you today...only thing added from yesterday is paper snips.  Oh one card uses dies instead...I forgot!

So sad summer is coming to an end.......

Good bye August and all the amazing summer 🌞weather that came along with you!
I will miss you 😢

The only good news about the weather changing is that I will be getting back to crafting--I do miss it over the summer but our summers are so short here that I just can't get myself to spend any time inside if I don't have to!

Due to some rain the other day I decided it is about time to get back at it.  I chose to start off with the newest Paper Pumpkin  Kit--which is kind of strange because I think that is what I left off with in July!

I made 10 cards with the kit then felt like doing a bit more so I made two more with the awesome mermaid set!  Can't wait to share those with you all but it will have to wait a little bit as I want to share some of these cards first.  (sorry)

One of the things I really love about the Paper Pumpkin Kit is that it gets me  to use things I normally would not.  I kind of feel like it is cheating with these kits because they do  all the designing for you--makes it so easy  to make quick and beautiful cards.  So what I like to do is change the up just a bit--I don't like to add much because I want you to see that they can be changed up  with very limited supplies--this time I think I only added two pieces of card stock and one more color ink pad.  And I have 10 cards that are all just a bit different --since I do not EVER like to make the same card twice, lol.

So here are 5 of the 10 cards today--I will show you the other 5 tomorrow--how does that sound?

Just small changed on all of them but just enough to keep me feeling like I am creating a bit, lol.  You may not be  able to see the awesome vellum leaves that were in the kit.  They were really fun to play with--and I have quite a few extras to play with at another time--WIN!

Stop back tomorrow to see what happens when I add a pair of paper snips to the mix!

Thanks for stopping I hope to see you again soon.

Guess it is about time to share these.....

Since we already have this month's Paper Pumpkin kit I think I should probably share the rest of the designs I made with last month's.  Yes!  I know I am a bit behind, been enjoying the summer with my family and forgetting to share.  Sorry.  (kinda)

Here are four more card designs I made with last months kits.  If you missed the first two you can view them HERE.

I really did have fun with this kit which is strange because I usually don't like kits that use stickers.  But this one was a good one.  It also matched the set in the Broadway Suite from the catalog....

I used only the kit for my projects along with a black pad and black marker....

See it really was a fun kit.  I made six different cards with only the product in the kit plus a black marker and pad.  Easy as could be.  You should really try out one of these kits some time.

Ask me how to get one -- I would love to help you out.
