Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge #60

Let me start by saying I have no idea where I got this idea from for this layout but I sure had a hard time with it. Of course I was having one of those bad MoJo days. You know the kind, they always come around when you have too many things to do and they have to be done NOW, lol. So the good news is that I made two cards for this week's sketch--the bad news is that I don't really like either of them! Go figure. Well I am sure you all will come up with some brilliant ideas to inspire me and maybe I will try it again later in the week??? Here is the sketch....
Here is my first card, the problem with this one is that I was forcing a set. I had to have this Flight of a Butterfly set and it has been sitting on my shelf unmounted for months and months. So when I came across it today I made a decision to use it no matter what--sorry, lol. I was just having a heck of a time working it into this sketch. So it is what it is...

Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly, Absolutely Fabulous
Paper: Taken with Teal, So Saffron, Old Olive
Ink: Taken with Teal, So Saffron, Old Olive, Basic Black
Other: Sizzix tag die, word window punch, circle punch, scallop circle punch, retired ribbon originals, Saffron brads, mini flower punch.

The next card is another one of those sets that I have had for well over a year and only used one stamp one time so I mounted this one too! It has been retired for quite a while but it is really a cute set.

Stamps: Furnished with Love
Paper: So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Bordering Blue, Whisper White and Bella Birds dp
Ink: Basic Black
Other: markers, faux brads, wide chocolate chip ribbon with stitching, word window punch, sizzix tag die

Well I have had enough for one day, I hope you will choose to play along.
I'm sure it is not as hard of a sketch as I made it out to be, lol.. If you play please remember to come on back here and leave a link on Mister Linky and a comment in the comments section so we can all see what you make. Also please remember to POST A DIRECT LINK to your sample card and use the key word TSSC60! Hope you have a fabulous week!

Thanks for stopping by, commenting and playing. I truly appreciate each and every one of you!

MJ, I don't know about hard sketches or mojos being gone because I love both the sketch and the cards! I think you did a great job of using the sketch!! I never would have thought to use these sets like this, but you did awesome! Love the colors and accessories as well!

MJ, Sometimes we are much to hard on pourselves. I think the sketch is a tad challenging, but that is what a "challenge" should be right! As for your cards, I think there great. I am going to try this today.

This was definitely one of the harder sketches we've had, but I like what you did with it!
