Hello stampers!!!! Jasper Jester here to give you another “colorful”
clue. After this there is only one more. J
Remember all entries must be submitted by 12pm (noontime) on Thursday, April 29th.
Your entry should consist of 6 “Royal Path Names.” Follow my “colorful”
clues to guess them. The winner of this game will be announced on Friday
morning, April 30th.
And here is the last
clue - #6. Remember the "colorful" clues I have given you. You should
be able to guess the 6 Royal Paths now! Remember your entries must be submitted
by 12pm (noontime) tomorrow. I think I have been good enough (boring) so off to
see what mischief I can get into!
I love how this page turned out. I used the inspiration challenge from Latenightstampers for the colors and layout. Of course the ONLY supplies used were My Digital Studio! Fast fun and oh so EASY--and no mess to clean up afterwards.
I wish there was more time in a day. You may see lots more of the MDS from me over the next few days as I fell coming out of a Women's meeting at a local church last night and I can barely walk, my ankle is messed up. But I am hoping I can "walk" it off, or drag it off, limp it off, which ever works. I have toooooooo much to do to be in one spot!
As you know I host the Featured Stamper Challenge on Stampin Connection and this week we are honoring Lisa Young. I was not familiar with Lisa's work before looking for this week's featured stamper. I was very impressed. Since Stampin Connection is only for demos and many of you can not visit her gallery there I have her blog address for you. You will love her work. Let her know I sent you CLICK HERE
Here are the two cards I made for this challenge.
This first card uses the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp. I stamped it in Black Stazon and then water colored just around the lines with Certainly Celery re-inker. So pretty. They are layered on leaves cut with my Sizzix and the Little Leaves Sizzlit die. They are all layered on Water color paper that I did a wash of Certainly Celery and Barely Banana re-inker on. The sentiment is from Strength and Refuge. And the card base Whisper White.
The Next card using the Upsy Daisy Set.
I used the soon to be retired colors Cameo Coral and Ruby Red. One of my FAVORITE color combos. I will certainly miss this one. The sentiments are rub ons. Pretty basic design, just a little distressing. I love how it turned out though. What do you think?
I am off to church for a Women's Ministry Event. Have a great night!
Mary Jo
Time is really flying by and it is almost time for our new Royal Blog Tour! The excitement is out of control and you won't want to miss it. During the tour we will be giving away a Big Shot Machine to one lucky winner. (you can substitute for he MDS or $100 in SU product if you wish). We decided to get this party started a bit early and let you earn an EXTRA chance for the prize package. All you have to do is try to guess the names of the Royal Tour Paths by reading the clues. I have the first three here in one post so you don't have to look too hard, but the next three will be coming in separate posts. Collect all the clues and submit your guess for your chance to be entered. So to re-cap for you....
There are 6 clues, one for each of the Royal Paths. The goal is to pick the 6 names and submit an entry. Entries must be submitted by 12pm (noontime) on Thursday, Apr 29th. The winner will be announced on April 30th. The winning entry will receive an extra ticket into the drawing for the Royal Grand Prize – a Big Shot, My Design Studio or a $100 Stampin’ Up shopping spree.
Now for the clues....

Wow, this week just flew by! My son has been off for the whole week and we had lots of fun hanging out and I am sad that it is over and back to reality tomorrow. I love when he is home. That is also why I am posting a bit earlier than usual--we need to see if we can get to sleep at a normal time, lol. We have both been up really late all week.
So I thank you for stopping by for the new sketch challenge. I hope you will play along. Don't forget to leave a link on Mister Linky below. If you haven't noticed I change the re-cap this week. I posted a sneak peek of my three favorites with pictures that link back to the creator's blogs. I hope you will visit them and let them know how much we enjoy their work. Also leave me a comment letting me know what your opinion is of this new method. Now on to this week's sketch. I must be totally honest, when I looked at this sketch the other day I could not figure out what the heck I was thinking of when I did it, lol. It reminds me of a big --um, let's see how can I say it, um, let's just say that we use it to feed our children when they are really little. Hence my baby card for this week!
Here is the sketch...
And my card, which by the way, I think is just adorable. Don't know anyone having a baby girl though!
Although I have been saying I am ready for the new catalog, I really am going to miss so many of the colors and the sets that will be retiring. Of course this hostess set is for sure going to retire. So cute too.

Trying something new with the re-cap this month. Instead of posting all those cards I am going to give you a sneak peek of my favorite ones. You can click on the pictures to visit the creator's blog and leave them a comment letting them know how great their card is. You can still view the other cards by checking the links at the end of the original post. First for the sketch.
And now for the Technostamper Top Three for sketch 118
Remember to click on each picture to see the whole project and visit the creator's blog!
For those that are picked each week you can copy and paste the code for my top three widget to add to your sidebar! Congratulations and thanks for playing.
I would love to hear from all of you on how you feel about this new way of posting the re-cap. Leave me a comment so I can find out what is the best way for YOU my readers.
This card just kind of took off on me, lol. I seen this neat sketch on articticavenger and wanted to try it out. As soon as I seen it I thought about making a fence but then I didn't want to cover it with the square and it just got out of control, I had to change the orientation of the sketch to fit the fence and so on and so on. I do like how it turned out though, I think my mom will like it too. It is also my last card for the Mother's Day Challenge on Latenightstampers! Here is the sketch and my card.
Stamps: Vintage Vogue, Well Scripted
Paper: Cameo Coral, Ruby Red, Whisper White, Kraft, So Saffron
Ink: Cameo Coral, Ruby Red, Old Olive
Other: brads (lots of them!) word window punch, wide oval punch, ribbons, sponges, retired rub ons
Hope you are having a fabulous weekend! The kids go back to school on Monday so it will be back to reality around here! I can't wait till summer!
Yikes, don't that sound like a really weird color combo. I think because the colors were not specific I originally thought it was going to be hard to pick the ones I wanted that would go together. But if was not hard, and I am actually enjoying this combo. Bayou Blue, Mellow Moss and Dusty Durango--all either retired or soon to be retired colors. So I may have to make a few more cards with these to use up some stash of paper--like a few thousand or so should be about right to use these three colors, lol.
Anyway, back to the challenge. You can see what the rest of the girls did by clicking HERE.
I chose to use my Words by Wanda again. I just got a new file system for my stamps. It is actually a architect's file drawer system! I have fifteen pull out drawers that are three inches deep and about 3 foot by 4 foot. Fits all my stamps perfectly! And you can just pull out the drawer and see all the sets right there. I love it. So I hope to be using a lot of sets that don't normally get used since I can find them. Forgot some of the sets I have.
Stamps: Words by Wanda
Paper: Dusty Durango, Mellow Moss, Blue Bayou dp, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Other: markers, ribbon, bow easy
Thanks so much for stopping by today, hope you have a great weekend!
I combined this week's ED6 challenge (feelin blue, use shades of blue on your card) with this week's LNS DTY challenge 67 (Mother's Day). I really love the Bella Blue DP it is so easy to make beautiful cards with it.
Stamps: Thoughts and Prayers, Well Scripted, Tiny Tags
Paper: Not Quite Navy, Bella Blue DP, Very Vanilla
Ink: Not Quite Navy
Other: small oval punch, circle scissors plus, sponges, markers
Hope you are having a fabulous Wednesday!
Blessing to you,
Mary Jo
I found a new sketch challenge site. Unscripted Sketches -- I have last week's sketch though, silly me. I am sharing it with you anyway. I had fun with it.
There are so many robins in our yard this year so I thought I would make one out of this bird. I love the soft colors of this card.
Stamps: Friends 24-7
Paper: Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Sweet Pea DP
Ink: Basic Black
Other: rub ons, markers, ribbon, bow easy, scallop trim border punch
I will be back later with the new ED challenge. Easy and Demonstratable cards.
I am not fortunate enough to be going to convention this year, as a matter of fact I have never gone but if I did I know I would be doing this! I love the Latenightstampers group--I am sure you are already aware of that, and this is sure to be so fun! Thought I would pass it on to any of you who are going. Spots are going fast though so hurry!

Welcome to week number 118 of my weekly sketch challenge! I hope you are inspired to play along. If you do please remember to come on back and leave a link on Mister Linky below. I will have to edit this post tomorrow with my sample as I forgot and went out with my Mom for her birthday and now I am too tired to take the picture and upload so I will do it first thing in the morning. But I wanted to get the sketch up for those of you who like to see it on Sundays. So here it is....
Can't wait to see what you do with this one! Looks fun to me.
ETA: so I finally had time to upload, sorry so late. I love the one card and don't even remotely like the other but my one friend loves grungy pink and black so what the heck.
The tag for this week is TSSC118--don't forget to leave your link.
Mary Jo
I have been thinking about starting to pick my top 5 of the samples each week and having a button made to give the winners to post on their blog--ya know, like My card was chosen in the top five at Technostamper! or some thing of that nature with just a snippet showing so more people would go check out their blogs for more details. Well I am glad I did not start it yet because these samples are awesome! Thank to everyone who played along. Great job this week!
